CONWIP is robust and efficient for various type of operating system, such as series, parallel, and assembly systems. Especially, assembly system would be controlled couple of modified CONWIP system. In the following paper, we developed Critical Path CONWIP system that gives signal to sub-line from a station of critical path then, compared with m-conwip, discrete-card-buffer CONWIP. 2 representative asymmetric assembly system models are used to compare each control system. As a result, critical path CONWIP holds less whole work-in-process with similar output. It can decrease total cost and WIP for high holding cost assembly system
In product process it is agreeable to testify and reflect the customer's needs in design and function and to create attractive quality factor effectively. In this study used KANO model to catch the excellent quality factors in SmartPhone and aimed to help design. We made a survey and performed customer factor analysis.
Inventory centralization for a number of stores may reduce inventory costs by establishing and maintaining a central ordering and distribution point. In this study, a centralized warehouse problem with multi-item and capacity constraint is considered. The objective of this study is to develop a methodology to decide the number and location of centralized warehouses and determine order quantity(Q), reorder point(r) of each centralized warehouse to minimize holding, setup, penalty, and transportation costs. In this problem, each centralized warehouse uses continuous review inventory policy and its budget is limited. A SA(Simulated Annealing) approach for this problem is developed.
Convergence encompasses all those activities required to create additional or innovational values, involving realigning or restructuring among several industries, technologies and services. Those convergence strategies that fail to create these values or innovation will have very small probability of success. In other words, the effective strategies for successful convergence should be able to bring out new values or experiences to customers via product/service innovation or sometimes operational excellences. In 2005, Samsung SDS developed a 6sigma methodology called, SCM 6Sigma, with the similar motivation. In this paper, SCM 6Sigma will be applied to develop effective and concrete convergence strategies.
