This paper address the Integrated inventory system for JIT purchasing where a single vendor purchases and processes raw-materials in order to deliver finished-items to buyer. A mathematical model and an iteration solution procedure is developed to find the order interval for each item and number of shipment between buyer and supplier simultaneously.

The system life-time are determined by the damage accumulate additively, called to failure, exceeding random thresholds, the system fails. Failures occur according to a non-homogeneous Poisson process with mean-value function ∫ λ(x)ax, where λ(l) is failure rate. Thus, our overall aim is to obtain properties of the survival function of system from models for the stochastic mechanism leading to failure. In this paper, the basic composition Formular is used in deriving many of the results.

A mathematical model is developed for economic design of multi-stage distribution system that consists of factory, central distribution centers, local distribution centers and retailers. The retailers are supplied products from different stage suppliers according to order size. The retailers are supplied products from factory if demand amount is large, central distribution center if medium, local distribution center if small. The cost factors are transportation cost, handling cost at distribution centers and inventory holding cost at retailers. It is to determine the transportation route of each retailer, the size and number of the vehicle at factory and distribution centers, the handling amount at distribution centers. The mathematical model is represented, the solution procedure is developed.

We perform a validity test of a long-term replenishment contract model proposed by previous research. The model is unique in that demand is assumed to be generated from an ARIMA process. For practical implementation, it approximates shortage cost to build expected cost of the contract policy. Therefore, it is worthwhile to test the validity of the model. We check the difference of the values obtained from the model with theoretical ones. The result shows that the model has a satisfactory degree of accuracy.

Manufacturing technologies of compound semiconductor are similar to the process of memory device, but management technology of manufacturing process for compound semiconductor is not enough developed. Semiconductor manufacturing environment also has been emerged as mass customization and open foundry service so integrated manufacturing system is needed. In this study we design the integrated manufacturing system for compound semiconductor fabrication that has monitoring of process, reduction of lead-time, obedience of due-dates and so on. This study presents integrated manufacturing system having database system that based on web and data acquisition system. And we will implement them in the actual compound semiconductor fabrication.

Modern automated manufacturing processes employ automated guided vehicles(AGVs) for material handling, which serve several machining centers(MCs) in a factory. Optimal scheduling of AGVs can significantly help to increase the efficiency of the manufacturing process by minimizing the idle time of MCs waiting for the raw materials. In this paper, we will analyse the requirements for an optimal schedule and then provide a mathematical framework for an efficient schedule of material delivery by an AGV. With this model, the optimal number of MCs to be utilized will also be determined. Finally, the material delivery schedule employing multiple journeys to the MCs by the AGV will be carried out. Through rigorous analysis and simulation experiments, we shall show that such a delivery strategy will optimize the overall performance.

This paper concerned with design of constant stress accelerated lift test(ALT). Becase a major factor to affect a life of automotive V-ribbed belts is a temperature, we selected a temperature as a accelerated fator to perform a test. Acclelerated life test plans were developed with the assumption of weibull lifetime distribution. The genreal value of beta parameter was accepted in this life test (β=1.1). The sample number was calculated by alpha parameter which was induced by beta.

In this work, a simulation study is accomplished to evaluate the effectiveness of EDG-based deadlock avoidance strategy. The considered strategy has been proposed in order to effectively handle conflicts and deadlocks occurring in zone-control AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle) systems. It is based on the prediction of deadlock possibility and prohibition of vehicle movement to the next zone until the deadlock possibility is removed. Throughout simulation study applied to complex network-type AGV path, the considered deadlock-avoidance strategy has provided satisfactory results even under the large number of vehicles.

Used as a mixing distribution for an unknown Poisson parameter, the gamma distribution leads to the negative binomial distribution. The hyperparameters of the gamma distribution have their own meanings according to what the Poisson parameter represents. Different sources in the randomness of the Poisson parameter give different interpretations of the negative binomial distribution.

This paper is intended to compare between the Bayesian estimate of a failure rate and the failure rate of a mixed distribution. For the sake of simplification, an exponential distribution and a gamma distribution are adopted as a sampling distribution and its natural conjugate prior distribution. The result shows that both the failure rates are being updated using data and they differ in whether they are functions of unobserved future data or not.

The coefficient of variation(CV) which is a relatively dimensionless measure of variability is widely used to describe the variation of sample data. But little research is available to its distribution, confidence interval and interpret method etc. In this paper, we give an outline of statistical properties of coefficient of variation and design of control chart based on this statistic. Construction procedures of control chart are presented. The proposed control chart is an efficient method to monitoring a process variation for multiple product processes. Futhermore, the performance is evaluated by average run length(ARL).

In this paper, we proposed the optimal process conditions on the electro-gilding process. The responses are plating thickness and Sn proportion. The factors are temperature, current density, and addition. We minimized the total number of experiments based on the principle of dividing into small part. We grouped the factors using the plating process information which we already knew. We did Hull Cell test to find relationship between plating solution and electric effects, and applied ANOVA and RSM to estimate the optimal process conditions.
