Government encourages small size learning circle activities as a part of ‘Learning Organizing Scheme’ to enhance the performances of the company through making SME employees develop themselves by giving them vision and hope who have poor working and learning conditions. Especially as the importance of learning circle (learning shift) activities is getting bigger, diversified studies on learning circles have been made. Accordingly, this study tried to verify the effects of activation of learning circle activities in SMEs on the quality performance of the organization and propose factors related to quality performance of the company.

When manufacturing die casting mold, generally, the casting layout design should be considered based on the relation among injection system, casting condition, gate system, and cooling system. Also, the extent or the location of product defects was differentiated according to the various relations of the above conditions. In this research, in order to optimizing casting layout design of an automobile part (Oil Pan_DX2E) Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) simulation was performed with two layout designs by using the simulation software (AnyCasting). The simulation results were analyzed and compared carefully in order to apply them into the production die-casting mold. During the mold filling with two models, internal porosities caused by air entrap were predicted and also compared by the modification of the gate system and the configuration of overflow. With the solidification analysis, internal porosities caused by the solidification shrinkage were predicted and also compared by the modification of the gate system.

The human resources of an enterprise is very important in order to survive in these days of business environment. This study investigates the influence of four decision types in MBTI(Myer-Briggs Type Indicator) and working conditions on organizational effectiveness. Job satisfaction and immersion has been regarded as a key conception of organizational effectiveness. The focus of this study is to investigate the effects of R&D employee's four decision types in MBTI and working conditions on organizational effectiveness. The results of this study show that organizational effectiveness are influenced by personality types and working conditions. According to the result, an enterprise must make a favorable working conditions to each four decision types in MBTI of R&D employees, the enterprise will provide ST-type with good relationship with superiors, clear vison and goal about company, fit compensation about original Idea. and also the enterprise gives autonomic authority and job assistance in co-worker to NT-type. Finally, in the case of SF-type, the enterprise must give job assistance in co-worker.

This paper presents a development process of a forecast and monitoring system for a photovoltaic (PV) solar plant. PV solar system is one of sustainable resource of energy. So, Korean government encourages businessmen to build a PV solar plant. Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) system is one of encouraging policies. Most RPS businessmen use monitoring system for a PV solar plant and they need an accurate forecast of power generation for business purpose. Therefore we propose an estimating algorithm of power for a PV solar plant using weather forecast. Proposed algorithm is implemented in a forecast and monitoring system and it works better than existing estimating methods.

In recent years, there has been developed anti-PID technologies(Potential Induced Degradation) in various levels from solar cell to module and to system to enhance of the long life reliability of photovoltaics(PV) system. Such technologies must economically ensure profits for both manufacturers of solar cells and investors of PV system simultaneously for PV industry development. This paper describes a comparison between and selection from two anti-PID technologies in the solar cell level, ES(modification of emitter structure) and ARC(modification of anti-reflective coating) based on the economic features of anti-PID solar cell production system with 60MW capacity for a solar cell maker and a 1MW PV power plant installed with PV modules using anti-PID solar cells. From the comparison between ES and ARC, it is shown that ARC anti-PID technology can make more profit for both a solar cell maker and a PV power plant investor.

The goal of this study is optimization of transparency liquid chemical coating process. At coating process in the maintenance of the coating gap is an important factor. Specially, at a small split from the substrate using the existing methods is difficult to maintain the uniformity of coating. In this study, slit coating uniformity and compare inkjet uniformity and thickness profile was analyzed using alpha-step. Also, the pencil hardness test and the color difference measurement were performed. As a result, changes of the coating process need to be made depending on the type of substrate and inkjet coating was suitable for substrate of a small split.

Initially, most of ubiquitous city(hereafter u-City) projects in Korea were supported by the government because they focused on providing public services. Having constructed several u-Cities, pioneering people realized that there were several issues to successful operations such as providing useful services to citizens, supporting operational costs, continuing the need for investments, and so on. Recently, public-private collaboration efforts have increased to solve these issues. This paper studies a case of such efforts by applying a Public-Private Partnership Cooperation (PPPC) model to u-City projects. The case study introduces u-City development for an Incheon Free Economic Zone (IFEZ). It is expected that the presented case will help boost the sustain-ability of u-Cities by solving surrounding issues and providing an effective operational mechanism.

In this study, we focus to suggest the direction of future development upon analyzing the actual conditions of green growth businesses of public corporations and the strategic problems. First, by using classified macro trends of global environmental change, we will examine the related 20 green trends. Green trends are synthesized with four key issues and we will look closely these issues of home and abroad. we analyze the strategic tasks outlined in management performance reports 2011 of public corporations and will look at its relation to global green trends. Based on the results of this analysis, we will suggest the direction of future development of green growth strategy which is required for public corporations.

Among ammunitions which are stored in a war field, the lifespan of propelling gunpowder is affected by storage environment such as storage temperature, humidity, and exposure to sunlight. These are because Nitrocellulose (NC) which is the main component of propelling gunpowder can be naturally disassembled to unstable substances similar with other nitric acid ester. We can’t prevent it fundamentally from being disassembled, but to restrain induction of automatic disassembly by decomposition product, a decomposition product (NO2, NO3, and HNO3) and tranquillizer DPA (Diphenylamine), having high reactivity, are added into a propellant. For this, it will decrease the velocity of tranquillizer which can also affect the velocity of producing the decomposition product of NC, storage temperature or humidity of propelling gunpowder is higher, drop of tranquillizer content is much faster. Therefore, to extend storage lifespan of propelling gunpowder, it is really important to control storage temperature or humidity inside the magazine. Hereupon, according to the manufacture of small scale model magazine and the result of performing experiments and measuring variation of inside temperature(storage temperature), using roof types that have a steel slate structure of magazine among ground magazines, this research shows the differences in details.

Lot-order assignment is the process of assigning items in lots being processed in a production facility to orders to meet due-dates of the orders. In this study, we consider the lot-order assignment problem (LOAP) with the objective of minimizing total tardiness of the orders with distinct due dates. We address similarity relationships between the LOAP and the single machine total tardiness scheduling problem (SMTTSP) and suggest priority rules for the LOAP based on those for the SMTTSP. Performances of the priority rules are compared with each other and with that of the commercial optimization software package in computational experiments.

In this thesis, we surveyed the current status of production operations management to find how to improve the operations efficiency. From the survey research, we have found that practical software tools should be developed to increase the efficiency of production operations management, especially for small and mediumsized enterprises. Although there exist a lot of excellent line balancing researches, the results of our survey represent that trial and error methods on the basis of experiences have been used mainly used in the domestic manufacturing industry. It seems that more practical researches should be carried out to develop user-oriented line balancing tools. As a part of the development of those tools, this thesis proposed a design of the line balancing tool which can support the line balancing tasks of nonspecialists. The proposed design is composed of three major phases: redundancy check of the precedence diagram, line balancing, and modification of the line balancing results. The first phase is to check the precedence diagram of work elements and remove the redundancy. The redundancy may affect the quality of solutions and computational time. Although it is important to prepare a neat and proper precedence data, it is not easy to develop a tidy precedence diagram for laymen. The first phase automatically removes the overlapped data. The next phase is the line balancing algorithm. The proposed algorithm is based on COMSOAL and can solve minimization of the number of work stations given the target production cycle time and minimization of the production cycle time given the number of work stations. Additionally, our suggested method can accommodate the predetermined location constraints. The third phase is to modify the solution suggested by the second phase. Frequently, users may want to change the result to reflect some constraints which were not easy to be included into the line balancing algorithm. So, a practical line balancing tool should provide mechanisms to modify the solution and they should check the precedence violation while a user tries to change the work station of an element. This research suggested a simple mechanism to check the precedence violation. We applied the proposed design to some test problems and test results showed that it performed successfully. Therefore, our method may contribute to enhance the efficiency of production operations management.

District heating is a system of distributing heated water from centralized facilities to local homes and buildings. In this paper, we model the distribution planning problem as a supply chain planning problem and propose an explicit column generation algorithm to handle large scale data as well as nonlinear constraints. The algorithm has been successfully applied to a Korean district heating company and the computational experiments show that the integrated operation of district heating network improves the total profit compared to the previous isolated network operation.

Max-plus algebra is a nonlinear system made of two operations, maximization (max) and additions (plus), that are corresponding to the addition and multiplication in the traditional algebra, in respect. This algebraic method can be applied to many types of discrete event systems showing the state transition with the maximization and addition operations. Robotic cell with predetermined cyclic schedule is one of such systems. We consider a robotic cell that consists of a single robot and several isolated processing modules. We discuss steady state analysis of such robot cell when all the parts have the processing order as a flow shop. To model timing behavior of a robotic cell, we develop a max-plus algebraic system. Given a particular robot transfer sequence, we prove the unique existence of the stationary cyclic behavior and identify the schedule. Furthermore we suggest max-plus algebraic way to develop a robust schedule which endures the outside processing variability. Finally, a monitoring and control system for such robotic cell based on the max-plus algebraic model is also proposed.

The purpose of this study is to present the Strategic Orientation effects on Green Management Performance. In order to carry out this research we obtained 175 survey sheets, inspect the ten assumptions focused on reliability, appropriateness of the model. Validation results are summarized as follows. First, the Strategic Orientation of significant positive for green management performance affect. Second, the Strategic Orientation with a customer orientation for Green Performance showed positive significant affect. Finally, the strategic orientation of the competitive orientation and technology-oriented, with significant positive impact on the financial performance results showed that about.
