        Regulatory Guide (RG) 1.60 presents the response spectra for the seismic design, especially for the safe shutdown earthquake (SSE), of nuclear power plants. This guide is applicable to a two-step process involving the issuance of construction permits and operating licenses (10 CFR Part 50) as well as the issuance of combined construction and operating licenses (COLs), early site permits (ESPs), and standard plant design certifications (10 CFR Part 52) [1]. New reactor designs, however, require modified design response spectra (MDRS) by broadening the high-frequency range from design response spectra (DRS) in RG 1.60. In order to generate artificial time histories to meet the acceptable criteria described in NUREG-0800 [2], it9s necessary to develop the power spectral density of the MDRS. In this paper, we generate the artificial earthquake time histories of the MDRS for further research.

        To identify some significant phenotypic characteristics of maize(zea mays) seeds, we have obtained Red, Green, Blue(RGB) digital image data from 82 recombinant inbred lines. Based on the collected image data, their morphological and color data were analyzed, and seven significant parameters were selected, including area, perimeter, length, width, circularity, roundness, and surface texture. The extracted RGB data were converted into color hex codes to visualize the representative colors of the seeds. These visualized colors were categorized into six groups: gray, yellowish white, yellow, grayish orange, purple, and brown. The results of maize seed phenotypic analysis using the RGB digital images in this study will serve as a useful tool for constructing a database of seed phenotyping database and establishing a standardized classification system.

        We conducted research on the removal performance of various odor substances using a deodorizing agent, hypochlorite ion (OCl-), in odor emission sites where various odor-causing substances occur simultaneously. In experiments treating odor gases containing mixtures of aldehydes (acetaldehyde, n-butyl aldehyde, iso-valeraldehyde, propionaldehyde), sulfur compounds (hydrogen sulfide, methyl mercaptan, and dimethyl sulfide), and nitrogen compounds (ammonia and trimethyl amine), it was demonstrated that the introduced odor substances could be simultaneously removed when electrolyzed water was used. The overall removal efficiency was found to be significantly higher than when water alone was used. Particularly, it showed simultaneous effectiveness against acidic, neutral, and alkaline odor substances such as ammonia and hydrogen sulfide. Considering the positive aspects with regard to chemical safety, the use of salt instead of chemicals, and the continuous regeneration of the oxidizing agent, this environmentally friendly deodorization technology is expected to contribute to securing excellent odor removal capabilities and wide-ranging deodorization applications.

        The purpose of this study was to propose an operational concept for a ship in a fleet equipped with an interceptor missile system, a naval surface to air defense system, and to develop a simulation program that reflects it. The results of the defense activities of other ships in the fleet can be reflected by receiving information about the status of the enemy missiles. The allocation of defensive assets is based on the survival probability of the ship, not on the destruction of enemy attacks, which can be obtained as the product of the expected survival probability for each enemy missile. In addition, the concept of predicted survivability was introduced to assess the loss of future defense opportunities that would result from assigning a new command. A simulation program was also developed as a tool for realizing the proposed concept of operations, which generated cases.

        The aging fishery training vessels from the past have mostly been decommissioned, and many universities are introducing state-of-the-art large fishery training vessels. The purpose of these training vessels is to train marine professionals and above all, safety to prevent marine accidents should be of utmost priority as many students embark on the vessel. This study estimated the impact of the hydrodynamic interaction forces acting on the model vessel (fishery training vessel) from the bank when the vessel pass near the semi-circle bank wall in various conditions through the numerical calculation, especially concerning maneuvering motions of the vessel. For estimation, variables were mainly set as the size of the semi-circle shape, the lateral distance between the bank and the model vessel, and the depth near the bank. As a result, it was estimated that, in order for the model vessel to safely pass the semi-circle bank wall at a speed of 4 knots, the water depth to the vessel draft ratio should be 1.5 or more (approximately 8 m of water depth), and the lateral distance from the semi-circle bank wall should be 0.4 times the model vessel’s length    or more (a distance of 34 m or more). Under these conditions, it was expected that the model vessel would pass without significantly being affected by the bank wall.

        YSZ (Y2O3-stabilized zirconia)-based ceramics have excellent mechanical properties, such as high strength and wear resistance. In the application, YSZ is utilized in the bead mill, a fine-grinding process. YSZ-based parts, such as the rotor and pin, can be easily damaged by continuous application with high rpm in the bead mill process. In that case, adding WC particles improves the tribological and mechanical properties. YSZ-30 vol.% WC composite ceramics are manufactured via hot pressing under different pressures (10/30/60 MPa). The hot-pressed composite ceramics measure the physical properties, such as porosity and bulk density values. In addition, the phase formation of these composite ceramics is analyzed and discussed with those of physical properties. For the increased applied pressure of hot pressing, the tetragonality of YSZ and the crystallinity of WC are enhanced. The mechanical properties indicate an improved tendency with the increase in the applied pressure of hot pressing.

        The purpose of this study was to determine the conditions necessary for the total eradication of mite pests in indoor environments. The study involved the construction of a sterilization experimental setup. For this setup, various sterilization techniques, such as UV-C, ozone, ultrasound, and heat were applied, based on previous research. The experimental procedure consisted of placing mite pests in a chamber and subjecting them to different sterilization techniques. Observations were conducted immediately after the experiment and repeated five days later to assess the extent of eradication. The results showed that UVC, ozone, and ultrasound methods were not successful in completely eradicating the mite pests. In contrast, heat sterilization demonstrated effectiveness depending on the specific temperature and exposure time. To achieve the eradication of mite pests in indoor environments, it is necessary to maintain conditions of short-term high-temperature sterilization above 65°C or sustain temperatures above 50°C for a minimum duration of 90 minutes.

        KDS 41 12 00의 풍하중 관련 식은 정형적인 건축물에 대한 수많은 연구를 통해 만든 경험식이다. 따라서 비정형 건축물에 대하여 KDS 41 12 00에 따라 풍하중을 산출하면 건축물의 형상이 반영되지 않아 실제 풍하중과 상이할 수 있다. 이에 Y자형 건축물 에 대하여 풍동실험에 따른 풍하중과 KDS 41 12 00에 따른 풍하중을 산출하고 비교하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 풍력실험을 수행하였고 최종적으로 두 가지 방법에 따른 풍하중의 비율을 산출하고 이를 풍하중 증감계수로 도출하고자 하였다. 본 연구에서 제시하는 풍하 중 증감계수를 KDS 41 12 00에 따라 풍하중 산출 과정에 적용한다면 보다 합리적으로 Y자형 건축물에 대한 풍하중을 산출할 수 있 을 것으로 사료된다.

        Recently, universities of fisheries and institutions related to fisheries are actively carrying out a project to build new fisheries training ships. These new fisheries training ships are significantly larger in size and longer in length than the previous ships. In addition, these new ships basically have space that can accommodate more than 100 crew and passenger. On the other hand, they are excluded from IMO maneuverability evaluation since the size of these ships are still less than 100 m in length (LBP). These results have had an impact on the study of maneuverability of fishing vessels including the fisheries training ships. Against these backgrounds, the authors conducted a study to estimate the maneuvering characteristics of fisheries training ship Baek-Kyung according to depth in order to prepare a maneuvering characteristic index that enables the large fisheries training ships to navigate more safely using a modified empirical formula. It was confirmed that the maneuvering characteristics of Baek-Kyung changed significantly as the values of the hydrodynamic force coefficients changed as the water depth gradually decreased from around 1.5 (approx. 8 m in depth) of the ratio of the water depth to the ship draft. The results of this study will not only help navigators understand the maneuvering characteristics of Baek-Kyung, but also serve as an indicator when navigating in shallow water. In addition, the accumulation of these results will serve as a basis for future study on maneuverability of fishing vessel types.

        This study quantitatively evaluated size selectivity for three netting shapes (T0; regular, T45, T90) and hanging ratio (35%, 70%) of T0 netting used for trawl codend. The size selectivity experiment was performed in a tank using a cube experimental model with a length of 50 cm on one side and 389 experimental individuals, jack mackerel (Trachurus japonicus). In the selectivity analysis, a selectivity curve was created based on the selection ratio using a logistic function, and the 25%, 50%, and 70% selection length and selection range  were obtained. The T0 netting was 19.54 cm when the 50% selective length, which is a selectivity evaluation index, had a hanging ratio of 35%, a selection range of 0.51 cm, and 22.70 cm and 3.08 cm for the hanging ratio of 70%. The T45 netting was 24.34 cm and 2.13 cm, and the T90 netting was 23.51 cm and 2.84 cm. The results of the T45 netting and the T90 netting are similar, and the 50% selection length and selection range were relatively larger than the T0 netting. There was a significant difference in the correlation between the circumference of the inner circle of the mesh by the shape of the netting and the body girth of the experimental individual (Pearson test,      ). There was no significant difference in the correlation between the selection ratio by the T0 netting, T45 netting, and T90 netting with a 70% hanging ratio (one-way ANOVA,   ). The results of this study showed that selectivity such as T45 netting and T90 netting appeared when the hanging ratio, which maximizes the area of T0 netting, was maintained at 70%.

        탁주의 제조과정 중 사입량의 비율을 조절하여 담금 조건을 달리하는 증량 담금법과 3단 담금법으로 탁주를 제조하여 탁주의 품질특성을 조사하였 다. 3단 담금법에서 초기 당도가 높았으나, 발효가 진행됨에 따라 발효 6일차 까지는 10.5oBrix로 서서히 감소하다가, 그 이후 다시 상승하였다. 증량 담금법의 알코올 증가량은 3단 담금법에 비해 초기 발효속도는 완만했으나 발효완료 시 16.0%에 도달한 반면, 3단 담금법은 초기 발효속도가 빨랐으나, 14.9%로 발효가 완료되었다. 초기 아미노산도는 3단 담금법에서는 2.3%로 높았으나, 증량 담금법은 아미노산도가 서서히 증가하여 발효완료시 3.2%였고, 3단 담금법에서는 3.3%에 도달하였다. 증량 담금법에서 Sake meter value (SMV)는 발효 3일차에 -13.1까지 감소하였으나, 그 이후 지속적으로 증가하여 발효 종료시 11.3으로 나타났다. 관능검사 결과 전반적 기호도는 단맛과 쓴맛의 기호도가 우수했던 증량 담금법에서 더 높게 나타났다.

        본 연구의 목적은 정신분석적 관점에서 미술작품이 자신의 내면을 이해할 수 있는지와 자기탐색을 통해 치유적 효과가 있는지 프리다 칼로의 작품을 통해 살 펴보는 것이다. 연구의 접근은 정신분석 미술치료관점 즉, 그림이 무의식의 표현 이며 전이된 무의식의 내용을 해석하고 통찰하면서 치료가 된다는 미술심리치료 의 이론적 입장이 예술가의 작품을 통해 지지되는지에 대한 검증 필요성에 기반 한다. 연구방법은 연구문제를 검증하기 위해 프리다 칼로 인생의 주요 전환기에 그려진 작품을 시대순으로 정리하여 다양한 연구문헌을 참고하여 작품 속에 투사 된 무의식의 상징을 분석하였다. 연구결과는 프리다 칼로의 작품은 자신의 불안, 억압, 갈등의 적극적인 탐색 과정이었으며 미술의 치료적 속성인 심상, 승화, 표 현, 카타르시스의 치료기제가 모두 작용된 것으로 보인다. 이러한 연구결과를 바 탕으로 미술의 창작행위는 표현자체로 치료적 의미를 가져다준다는 것을 알 수있다.

        담도 스텐트가 인접한 담도 주위 혈관에 손상을 주어 혈액 담즙증을 유발하거나 스텐트 제거 시 손상으로 발생할 수 있다고 드물게 보고된다. 스텐트 제거 시 활력징후가 불안정 해질 정도의 혈액 담즙증이 생기는 경우, 혈관조영술을 시행 하기 전 구조 요법으로 피막형 팽창성 금속 스텐트의 압박 효과를 통한 지혈을 기대하고 삽입할 수 있다. 본 두 증례는 간문부 담관암 환자에서 간문부 폐색에 대해 삽입한 담도 스텐트 그리고 간세포암종 환자에서 간동맥 화학색전술 이후 동반된 간농양의 내배액 목적으로 삽입한 담도 스텐트를 각각 교체 목적으로 제거 후 급격히 악화된 대량의 혈액 담즙증을 피막형 팽창성 금속 스텐트를 삽입하여 성공적으로 치료된 사례이다. 한편, 해당 상황에선 정확한 출혈 위치를 알기 어려워 예상되는 출혈 위치를 포함할 수 있을 만큼 높은 위치에 스텐트를 삽입해야 하며 적절한 위치에 삽입되었더라도 지혈이 되지 않을 수 있기에 일시적인 방안이며 스텐트 자체의 한계점들도 있다. 따라서, 기존의 스텐트 제거 시 혈액 담즙증이 발생할 수 있음을 인지하고, 그중 출혈의 위험성이 높은 환자에서는 제거 전 영상 검사를 고려해야 하며 출혈이 발생한 뒤 스텐트를 통해 성공적으로 지혈을 시행했더라도 출혈 및 가성동맥류와 같은 혈관 기형의 확인을 위한 영상 검사를 고려해야한다.

        본 연구는 광주 내 대형마트와 온라인 마켓에서 영유아 를 대상으로 판매하는 과자류 80건 및 음료류 40건의 식 품첨가물(타르색소, 인공감미료), 곰팡이독소 및 영양성분 (자당, 무기질)을 분석하였다. 유아용 표시 식품의 기준 및 규격이 불검출로 설정된 타르색소와 사카린나트륨은 모든 시료에서 검출되지 않았다. 과자류(기타가공품) 1건에서 인공감미료인 아세설팜 칼륨이 0.07 g/kg 검출되었으나 이 는 식품첨가물의 기준 및 규격에서 정한 허용 기준치 이 하였다. 곰팡이독소는 아플라톡신 및 오크라톡신 A는 검 출되지 않았으며, 푸모니신 B1, B2 및 제랄레논이 각각 과자류에서 14건(9.78-78.94 μg/kg), 6건(5.58-11.73 μg/kg) 및 9건(2.96-8.83 μg/kg) 검출되었다. 푸모니신에 대한 기 준·규격은 따로 설정되어 있지 않았으나 타 연구 결과와 비교했을 때 비슷한 수준이었으며, 제랄레논은 식품 일반 에 대한 공통 기준·규격 이내로 확인되었다. 자당은 과자 류에서 65건(0.02-40.94 g/내용량(g)), 음료류에서 24건(0.12- 27.60 g/내용량(g)) 검출되었으나 식품유형간 유의적인 차 이는 없었으며, 타 연구 결과와 비교했을 때 그 함량도 적 은 편이었다. 다만, 검출 시료 89건 중 1건을 제외하고는 모두 1일 영양성분 기준치를 성인 기준으로 표시하고 있 었기 때문에 제품 구입 시 영유아 기준으로 오인될 우려 가 있다. 무기질은 대부분의 시료에서 검출되었으며 과자 류 중 4건의 시료에서 내용량 당 아연 함량이 상한섭취량 (1-2세: 6 mg/일, 3-5세: 9 mg/일)을 초과하는 수준이었다. 아연 강화식품이나 보충제의 과다 섭취가 인체의 유해성 을 보인다는 다수의 보고가 있으므로 섭취시 유의할 필요 가 있다. 나트륨은 과자류 80건 중 16건이 영유아용 표시 식품의 기준을 초과하였으나 모두 품목제조보고서상 영유 아 섭취 대상 식품으로 표시하지 않아 해당 기준을 적용 할 수 없었다. 따라서 영유아용 표시 식품의 기준·규격을 설정과 함께 현재 시행되는 기준·규격이 알맞게 적용될 수 있도록 표시 기준 강화 등의 제도적 개선이 필요할 것으 로 보인다.

        PURPOSES : This study predicts the concentration of suspended road dust (PM10) by analyzing meteorological, traffic, and atmospheric environmental data acquired at various angles, and attains a comprehensive understanding of the influencing factors of suspended road dust. METHODS : Experimental field methods were applied and statistical analyses were conducted. Field experiments were conducted using a vehicle-based measurement of suspended dust (PM10) to measure its concentration at the measurement site while maintaining a constant driving vehicular speed. Statistical analysis demonstrated the effects of the concentration of suspended dust on changes in meteorological and environmental factors and lanes per traffic volume at the time of measurement. Finally, a multiple linear regression model was applied to identify the factors which affected the generation of suspended dust. RESULTS : The analysis of suspended road dust concentrations according to the lanes per traffic volume and environmental factors showed that suspended dust concentrations increased at increasing driving speeds. In addition, the background concentration at the monitoring station was higher at high-wind speeds (>3.0 m/s) than at low-wind speeds (<1.6 m/s), but the suspended dust concentrations were higher at low-wind speeds. During the temperature inversion period from evening to morning, the suspended effects of traffic and meteorological factors were greater than the background concentration at the station. Multiple linear regression analysis showed that excluding yellow-dust days, which are known to affect atmospheric pollution levels, the accuracy of the model improved and resulted in increases in background PM10, vapor pressure, sea-level pressure, visibility, after-rainfall time, and in decreases in insolation and precipitation during low-wind speed conditions. CONCLUSIONS : At low-wind speeds, 5 days after rain, and when the relative humidity was higher than 72%, suspended dust was found to be higher than atmospheric PM10 concentration and may increase at increasing driving speeds and section lane traffic volumes. However, the volume of measured data in this study is limited to determining the patterns of suspended dust, as the silt loading of the operational road or the effects of prominent variables were not considered in this study. However, we identified prominent factors related to road-suspended dust for real-time road-dust predictions.

        In this study, samples of sea anchor canopy cloth mainly used in Korean jigging fishing vessels were collected and tested for performance evaluation. The canopy cloth of sea anchor is a basic element of form composition that is known to have the greatest influence on anchor performance. In order to evaluate the performance of sea anchor canopy cloth, five types of samples were tested for new metric count, tensile strength, water vapour transmission rate and drying speed according to the national standard (KS), and some correlations were identified. As a result of the test, the new metric count of cloths was 335.5-443.4 denier in warp and 217-447.6 denier in weft, and the minimum tensile strength was 860 N in warp direction and 430 N in weft direction. The apparent number and tensile strength of cloth were proportional, the water vapour transmission rate of the sample was 206.8 g/m 2 h, and the drying speed was 90-100 min. This study partially confirmed the performance evaluation based on speculation by the standard test method, and further research is needed on the clear relationship between the research results and the performance of the sea anchor.

        Metal material production process machinery is becoming larger due to the development of industry. Since there are many overseas manufacturers of large machines used in industrial fields, there are limitations in investigating the manufacturer's noise prediction method and measurement method. A noise map was prepared to obtain information necessary for noise reduction and to effectively manage noise companies. It was modeled with the drawings provided to prepare the noise map and the results of the actual measurement of the site. In order to improve the noise environment of workers, there was a noise reduction effect when a soundproof wall was installed between the noise source and the worker's workplace.
