        Recently, it is increase in the processing of organic waste using anaerobic digestion. Therefore, the studies on theprocessing method for increasing the anaerobic digestion waste water. Among them, purification treatment and liquidfertilizer have been issues. But, efficiency of the ways is very insufficient. While increasing the anaerobic digestionprocess, increasing study for the treatment of anaerobic digestion waste water. In this study, It was evaluate thecharacteristic of liquid fertilizer of anaerobic digestion waste water as affected by aeration rate and solid-liquid separation.Also, we review liquid fertilizer degree using maturity assessment indicators of liquid fertilizer by national institute ofanimal science. As a result, insertion of air(3.5L/min) sample after solid-liquid separation appeared was the highest. pHand color was difficult to understanding correlation with liquid fertilizer among maturity assessment indicators(seedgermination, ammonia(NH3), hydrogen sulfide(H2S), electrical conductivity(EC), pH, color, etc).

        합류부에서의지류의합류각, 지류와본류의유량비에추가하여, 본류준설에의한하상고불일치에따른다양한양상의 분리구역의특성을CCHE2D 모형을사용하여분석하였다. 분리구역은지류가합류되어진직후단면에서의유속이0(영)인 경계로정의하였다. 합류각30° 이하에서는분리구역이형성되지않았다. 유량비와합류각증가에따른분리구역의크기는 일반적으로 증가하는 양상으로 나타났다. 준설 깊이비 증가에 따른 분리구역의 크기는 합류부 수용체의 증가에 기인한 지류에서의상대적인 운동량의감소로인하여감소되었다. 유량비와합류각의변화에따른분리구역의수축지수를규명하 였고, 통수기능의저하에따른배수영향을확인하였다. 합류각, 유량비, 준설깊이비에따른분리구역의형상지수의관계식 을 제안하였다.

        본 연구에서는 태풍의 경로 및 규모를 이용한 호우분리기법을 통해 한반도에 유발된 강우를 집중호우와 태풍강우로 분류하고, 지역별 강우특성 및 경향성 분석을 수행하였다. 또한 호우분리를 통한 비정상성 빈도해석을 수행하여 미래확률강우량을 산정하였으며, 이에 대한 정량적인 비교 및 평가를 수행하였다. 분석결과, 전기간 자료, 태풍강우 및 집중호우의 증가 및 감소율이 각각 상이하며, 증가 및 감소경향이 서로 상반되는 지점도 나타났다. 또한 호우분리를 통한 비정상성 빈도해석을 수행한 결과, 비교적 합리적인 미래확률강우량이 산정됨을 확인할 수 있었으며, 전기간 자료를 이용한 미래확률강우량과 비교한 결과 한반도 남부 및 동부지역에서 상대적으로 큰 차이가 나타났다. 호우분리기법을 적용한 비정상성 빈도해석 결과는 태풍 및 집중호우의 지역적인 변화특성을 잘 반영하는 것으로 나타나 수공구조물 설계 및 미래 기후변화와 관련된 치수대책 및 정책수립에 활용도가 높을 것으로 판단된다.

        Due to strong binding, optical clarity, adhesion to many surfaces, toughness and flexibility polyvinyl butyral(PVB) resin films are commonly used in the automotive and architectural application as a protective interlayer in the laminated glass. Worldwide million tons of PVB waste generated from end-of-life automotive associated with various environmental issues. Stringent environmental directive, higher land costs eliminate landfilling option, need a sustainable, environment-friendly technology to recycle these solid wastes. In our current study, we have developed a mechano-chemical separation process to separate PVB resins from glass and have characterized the separated PVB through various techniques, i.e., scanning electron microscope (SEM), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), infrared spectroscopy (IR) and nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR). Feasibility for reuse of these recycled PVB has been investigated. The technology developed in our laboratory is sustainable, environment-friendly, techno-economical feasible process, and capable of mass production (recycling).

        The separation method of Au (III) was studied by a chelating resin, Amberlite A-21. Sorption capacities for the metal ions on the Amberlite A-21 have been measured by batch method. This resin was applied to the rapid concentration of trace amounts of these metal ions and to the separation of Gold (III) from other metal ions in bulk solution. The separation of those elements was carried out with Acetone and Thiourea as eluents.

        Two-dimensional electrophoresis (2-DE) was executed to separate the seed storage proteins from the buckwheat. The proteins extracted from the whole seed proteins were better separated and observed in the use of lysis buffer. Using this method, the highly reproducible isoelectric focusing (IEF) can be obtained from polyacrylamide gels, and IEF from the polyacrylamide gel at all the possible pH range (5.0-8.0) was more easily separated than IPG (immobilized pH gradient) gels. The polyacrylamide gels in the first dimension in 2-DE was used to separate and identify a number of whole seed proteins in the proteome analysis. In this new apparatus using 2-DE, 27cm in length of plate coated with polyacrylamide gel was used and the experiment was further investigated under the various conditions.

        Sustainable and eco-friendly polymers, natural polymers, bio-based polymers, and degradable polyesters, are of growing interest because of environmental concerns associated with waste plastics and emissions of carbon dioxide from preparation of petroleum-based polymers. Degradable polymers, poly(butylene adipate-co-terephthalate) (PBAT), poly(propylene carbonate) (PPC), and poly(L-lactic acid) (PLLA), are related to reduction of carbon dioxide in processing. To improve a weak mechanical property of a degradable polymer, a blending method is widely used. This study was forced on the component separation of degradable polymer blends for effective recycling. The melt-mixed blend films in a specific solvent were separated by two layers. Each layer was analysed by FT-IR, DSC, and contact angle measurements. The results showed that each component in the PPC/PLLA and PPC/PBAT blends was successfully separated by a solvent.

        슬래그를 매립한 토양을 대상으로 자기분리연구를 수행하였다. 토양세척을 거친 토양과 토양세척 전 토양을 대상으로 습식자기분리와 건식자기분리를 수행하여 분리된 부분과 분리되지 않은 부분의 중금속 농도를 측정하여 중금속의 농축효과를 측정하였다. 습식자기분리의 경우 토양세척 전 시료의 자력분리율이 상대적으로 높으며 토양세척 후 시료의 경우 약 40% 정도가 자기분리 되었다. 토양 : 물의 비가 농축효과에는 큰 영향을 미치지 못하며, Fe, Pb, Cu, Zn, Cd의 세척 전 토양과 세척 후 토양의 자기분리에 의한 평균 농축비는 3.2, 2.1, 12.1, 2.5, 1.5와 17.4, 7.0, 15.7, 9.6, 7.0으로 토양 세척을 거친 경우 자기분리에 의해 토양 세척 전 토양에 비해 더 큰 토양 부피 감량효과를 기대할 수 있다. 건식자기분리의 경우에도 자기분리에 의해 중금속의 농축효과를 얻을 수 있으나 자기분리에 의한 회수율이 너무 높은 경우 오염토 저감을 기대하기 어렵다. 철과 같은 강자성체를 포함하는 토양의 경우 자기분리에 의해 토양세척의 효과와 유사하게 오염토양의 양을 줄일 수 있고, 오염이 한쪽에 농축되는 결과를 얻을 수 있다.

        In this research, chemical vapor deposition equipment built in the semiconductor·CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition)process was introduced. Through polysulfone hollow fiber membranes under similar conditions to those of the actualprocess, conditions such as flow and pressure were used to observe the influence in order to separate and collect the SF6and CF4 substances. Results showed that as the retentate flow rate of the discharge unit increased and the residence timeto penetrate the membrane decreased, the emission concentration increased. As the pressure of the discharge unit increasedand the exhaust flow decreased, when the retentate flow rate was 10L/min, CF4 was shown to have a density of 4,963ppm, and it was 4,028ppm for SF6 the gas mixture had a concentration effect of three to four ratio. In addition, throughthe separation factor of fluorinated gases that arise in the actual process, the collection and concentration of SF6 and CF4were possible each gas’s recovery rate was higher than 99%.

        In this work, the separation characteristics of CO2 from CO2 and CH4 mixed gas was studied using pressure swingadsorption (PSA) process. Zeolite 13X was used as an adsorbent to adsorb CO2 from gaseous stream in a fixed-bed ofadsorbent. The adsorption experiments were performed with various gas flow rates, adsorption pressures and temperatures.The deactivation model was used to analyze the adsorption kinetics of CO2 using the experimental breakthrough data.From this work, it was found that the activation energies of adsorption and deactivation were 29.15 and 13.0 kJ/mol,respectively. And the experimental breakthrough curves were agree very well with the adsorption isotherm models basedon Freundlich equation.

        The organic solvent is used in many industries. Generation of waste organic solvent is continuously increasing. The 2009 years total domestic production organic solvent is in use 21% total designation waste production with 682 thousand tons. processes of a waste organic solvent and management issue is increasing in advanced countries. To resolve this problem, evaluate the characteristics of a batch distillation column purification to propose alternative. Therefore, this study compares a refinement recovery characteristic of simple distillation and 10-stage distillation tower. It grasps a characteristic regarding refinement recovery of the waste organic solvent (Propylene Glycol Mnomethyl Ether Acetate)PGMEA which occurred at LCD processes through study of a hundred steps of distillation tower. In this study, the evaluate scale-up separation characteristics difference using 10-stage and 100-stage batch distillation column. The actual process of making a demonstration plant appointed by using waste organic solvents of high purity propose a method for recycling.

        식중독 유발 바이러스인 HAV는 제 1군 감염병원으로 규정되면서 감염 시 원인식품을 빠르게 분석하게 되었으며 그로 인해 정확하면서 빠른 검출기술을 요구하게 되었다. 본 연구에서는 HAV에 오염된 상추에서 신속하게 바이러스를 검사하기 위해서 IMS를 통하여 신속하게 HAV를 순수 분리 및 농축하였고, 형광물질인 quantum dot을 활용하여 형광검출을 실시하였다. 또한 일반적으로 바이러스 농축에 사용되는 PEG 농축방법과 비교하였을 때 검출능은 유사한 결과를 얻었으나, 농축시간 면에서는 IMS를 통한 방법이 효과적이었다. 또한 IMS 방법으로 확보된 항원을 Quantum dot을 활용하여 10분 이내에 바이러스를 검출할 수 있었다. 본 연구에서 제시된 검출기반은 식품 유통 과정 중 다양한 식중독 바이러스로부터 소비자를 보호 할 수 있는 검사방법으로 활용될 수 있다고 기대된다.

        Incinerated sewage sludge ash (ISSA) is regarded as a valuable resource having great potential for the recycling ofphosphorus. The P content of ISSA is known as around 10% as a P. Therefore, this study was undertaken to investigatethe precipitation and separation characteristics of phosphorus from the acid-extracted solution of ISSA. The incineratedsewage sludge ash was leached by 1N sulfuric acid with solid/liquid ratio of 10 for 30min. The extracted solutioncontained about 1.1% of P and other metals, Al, Fe, Ca and Mg, with over than 1,000mg/L. Some heavy metals suchas Cu, Pb and Cr are presented as impurities as well. Most of Al and Fe in the extracted solution were precipitated withP when titrating it to pH 3.6. The precipitated form were assumed to AlPO4, FePO4·2H2O respectively, and Pb and Crwere precipitated in this stage as well. At this experiment, about 62.9% of the initial P was precipitated and removedfrom the solution. It was also find that all of the P extracted can not be recovered as a precipitate with a simple additionof NaOH, even though titrated to pH 11.6. The precipitated P also contained some impurities such as Al, Fe, and someheavy metals, which means that further researches are needed for the efficient separation and recovery of P from ISSA.

        The proteins from functional rice cultivars (Nogwonchalbyeo, Giant embryonic, Arhyangchalbyeo, and Goamibyeo) and general white rice were extracted and separated using two-dimensional (2D) gel electrophoresis. A wide variation in the molecular weight (MW) and pH range of the expressed proteins in rice samples were observed. The green-kerneled rice (Nogwonchalbyeo) exhibited proteins with MW of 9-57 kDa and appeared at a pH range of 4-7. The Giant embryonic contained proteins with MW of 31-63 kDa and a pH range of 5-6. The aromatic glutinous rice (Arhyangchalbyeo) showed proteins with MW of 24-28 and pH of 5.8-6.8. The high-amylose rice (Goamibyeo) exhibited proteins with MW of 3-63 and pH of 5.2-5.6. The identified proteins uniquely found and highly expressed in each cultivar may have a significant role on rice functionality. The results illustrate that the 2D gel electrophoresis is a valuable method in the determination of the protein expression profiles in functional rice grains and may be useful in the identification of specific marker proteins associated with the functional property of rice.

        Eddy current separation technique to separate non-ferrous metal particles (Al, Mg, Cu, Sn, Pb, Zn, etc.) and non-metallic particles (plastic, ceramic etc.) of crushed materials of laptop computers was established. As preliminary treatment, laptop computers was shredded and optical sorting machine segregated PCB from Non-PCB. Non-PCB sample was pulverized by cut crusher under the size of 12mm for liberation. Upward flow air separator and magnetic separator were used for eliminated shredding dust, vinyl, paper, and ferrous metal particles from Non-PCB sample. The sample was injected into drum type eddy current separator. Recovery of metals was not enough to separate the sample, the non-conducting part (non-metals part) was repeatedly injected into separator. Recovery of metals increased as the step of repetition, but the cumulative recovery until 4th repetition did not exceeded 65%. However, metal content of non-ferrous metals part (the bounced material) was high and it did not change the grade as the repetition. Therefore, drum type eddy current separator has low recovery in case of small particles but also has the advantage of getting high grade non-ferrous metal.

        The estimated that 114 million units of fluorescent lamp are sold every year, and that 70% or more spent fluorescent lamps (SFLs) are generated at business sites. According to Korea Lighting Recycling Corporation, recycled amount of SFLs selected as EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility) items from 2004 has been improved from 35,250,000 units in 2010 to 37,950,000 units in 2011, which recorded the greatest amount. Based on the year 2011, SFLs have been recycled by 31.5%, but their recycled rate is insufficient yet, compared to the recycling rate of metal cans or glass bottles, which are about 80%. The base cap of SFLs as a raw material was used in this experiment. Base cap contains an insulation sieve plate, aluminum cap, copper terminal, tempered glass, filament, and copper/iron mixed wire that goes through this glass. In order to protect a filament that is made up of tungsten for the electricity to flow, circular plate consisted of iron encloses the filament. Separating apparatus of SFL base cap used in this experiment is a device which has used impact crushing technique using hammer, screen separation and magnetic separation for the purpose of recovering aluminum, copper and iron contained in SFL. Impact hammer crusher, a device that separates aluminum from other materials by hammer impaction on the base cap that is separated by end-cutting, causes a significant reduction for other materials to be included in the collectible materials by separating aluminum, copper and iron from the base cap by using hammer crusher at 3 stages. Iron was collected by using a magnetic separation unit and the collectible materials were separated into aluminum with larger particles, and glass and other materials with smaller particles by screen separation. The separation performance was estimated for the 3 stages of hammer crusher unit to recover aluminum from the base-cap of SFLs and the separation performances are 94% at the 1st stage, 97% at the 2nd stage, and 98% at the 3rd stage, respectively.

        The objectives of this paper are the characterization of the pretreatment of wastewater by microfiltration (MF) membranes for river maintenance and water recycling. This is done by investigation of the proper coagulation conditions, such as the types and doses of coagulants, mixing conditions (velocity gradients and mixing periods), pH, etc., using jar tests. The effluent water from a pore control fiber (PCF) filter located after the secondary clarifier at Kang-byeon Sewage Treatment Plant (K-STP) was used in these experiments. Two established coagulants, aluminum sulfate (Alum) and poly aluminum chloride (PAC), which are commonly used in sewage treatment plants to treat drinking water, were used in this research. The results indicate that the optimal coagulation velocity gradients (G) and agitation period (T) for both Alum and PAC were 200-250 s-1 and 5 min respectively, but the coagulation efficiencies for both Alum and PAC were lower at low values of G and T. For a 60 min filtration period on the MF, the flux efficiencies (J/J0 (%)) at the K-STP effluent that were coagulated by PAC and Alum were 92.9 % and 79.9 %, respectively, under the same coagulation conditions. It is concluded that an enhanced membrane process is possible by effective filtration of effluent at the K-STP using the coagulation-membrane separation process.

        Of the 6 most abundantly recognized Greenhouse Gases, SF6 (Sulfur Hexafluoride) is one of the most potentially consequential gases to Global Warming. The permeation characteristics of fluorinated gases N2 and SF6 used in the semiconductor processes were examined by study through the processes that occur during the Hollow Fiber Membrane Separation Technology. The developed module had a permeance of 8.83 ~ 17.40 GPU for N2 with N2/SF6 selectivity of 8.64 ~ 40.80 at various pressure and temperature. The SF6 isolation results showed the variables increased SF6 concentration levels of 13% ~ 63%, with a yield increase of 50% ~ 96%. These results are proven to be well utilized in the semiconductor manufacturing processes in the recovery of SF6 through the Hollow Fiber Membrane Separation Technology.

        SLC has installed and operated a 50 tons/day scale pilot plant of construction & demolition waste (c&d waste) separation/ selection pilot plant in order to utilize wood wastes among construction wastes carried into landfill sites as energy sources, etc. In the present study, for optimized operation of the aforementioned pilot plant, the characteristics of operation of the plant were assessed in relation to changes in operation conditions and the characteristics of inputted wastes. Based on the results of an experiment conducted to select sieves of vibrating screens for the discharge of incombustible materials, wood waste recovery rates were the highest when 8mm sieves were applied but the purity of wood wastes and combustible materials was higher when 20 mm sieves were applied. By supplementing the shape of the overflower of the wet separator, combustible materials stagnant in the water tank were reduced and the rate of recovery of combustible materials including wood was improved by around 10%. It was identified that not only the amounts of wood wastes and combustible materials among inputted wastes but also the ratio of coarse combustible materials to entire combustible materials could affect operation time. Therefore, if processes to select or smash coarse combustible materials in advance are added and bottle neck points are supplemented to be prepared for an increases in the amount of inputted combustible materials, construction wood waste selection/separation facilities could be stably operated even when the characteristics of inputted wastes are changed.
