The military Services have sought to improve the overall quality, management, and delivery of military Technical Information in all of its aspects. The efforts concentrated on developing IETM(Interactive Electronic Technical Manual) by using the application of computer technology for the storage, control, and presentation of maintenance, system-operation, training, and other forms of logistic-support Technical Information. In this paper, the methodologies are presented to evaluate the operational effectiveness of IETM which consists of confirmity and performance. Confirmity is evaluated by the check-sheet based on the standard of CALS, and performance by the comparison of the technician performance between IETM and paper-TM.

Defining the relationship between the quality of injection molded parts and the process condition is very complicate because of lots of factor are involved and each factor has a non-linearity. With the development of CAE(Computer Aided Engineering) technology, the estimation of volumetric shrinkage of injection mold parts is possible by computer simulation even though restricted application. In this research, the Taguchi method and Neural Network applied for finding optimal processing condition. The percent of volumetric shrinkage compared on each case and show neural network can be successfully applied.

This research explains visualization of diagnostic system of 3D CAD data IGES(Initial Graphics Exchange Specification) by using JNI (Java Native Interface). The diagnostic system is to analyze IGES clearly by identifying errors and anomalies with respect to the diagnosis of geometry and topology entity. The output of the system is IGES file including error information which can be visualized with different colors by several commercial visualization systems. The paper focuses on the visualization of the result IGES which can be extended to web based application over internet because the system is developed by JNI to connect between C++ and Java programming.

This paper presents an analysis for the variation of tool retraction length. Tool retraction, in zigzag pocket machining, is a non-productive operation in which the tool moves to any remaining regions for machining. Earlier, we developed an algorithm of generating tool retraction length in simple polygonal shapes. In the algorithm, we considered a reflex profile of cutting direction in a polygonal shape. Considering reflex profiles of cutting direction, the polygon is decomposed to subregions, triangles and quadrilaterals, which do not need any tool retraction. Consequently, we propose a new result that the shortest length of tool retraction presents a cutting direction parallel to concave edges. Examples are shown to verify the validity.

Presented in this paper is an algorithm to compute the Voronoi diagram of a circle set from the Voronoi diagram of a point set. The circles are located in Euclidean plane, the radii of the circles are non-negative and not necessarily equal, and the circles are allowed to intersect each other. The idea of the algorithm is to use the topology of the point set Voronoi diagram as a seed so that the correct topology of the circle set Voronoi diagram can be obtained through a number of edge flipping operations. Then, the geometries of the Voronoi edges of the circle set Voronoi diagram are computed. The main advantages of the proposed algorithm are in its robustness, speed, and the simplicity in its concept as well as implementation.

As the transmission of 3D shape models through Internet becomes more important, the compression issue of shape models gets more critical. The issues for normal vectors have not yet been explored as much as it deserves, even though the size of the data for normal vectors can be significantly larger than its counterparts of topology and geometry. Presented in this paper is an approach to compress the normal vectors of a shape model represented in a mesh using the concept of clustering. It turns out that the proposed approach has a significant compression ratio without a serious sacrifice of the visual quality of the model.

This paper proposes an efficient and effective BOM management scheme for small and medium manufacturing (SME) companies that produce automobile parts. Automobile part‘s manufacturers produce very various products due to various automobile characteristics such as types, colors, and options of cars. These products are classified into product groups with common parts and like this product groups with commonality are regarded as product family. This paper proposes a BOM data model for product family structures and implements the practical EXCEL-based BOM management system for real small and medium manufacturing (SME) companies that produces automobile parts.

Due to recent changes of computer & networks, the IDS(Intrusion Detection System) need to be developed for new intrusion patterns. The current IDS have limited on recognition and correspond to new intrusion patterns on detection speed for multi packet which dealing on the network. Therefore, new technology need to increasing efficiency and speed of detection speed requested. The aim of this research is the development of standard and systematic method on intrusion detection. The core idea is using data mining method to find bundle of patterns on networking program and user behavior patterns as well as apply the feature systems to calculate the classifiers which could recognize the well known or irregular intrusions. In this paper, we will recommend following steps to develop the intrusion detection system: First, we will learn the detection applying technique for multi intrusion cases. Second, we will use data mining technique which fast recognize the current intrusion patterns and new patterns. Third, to recognize intrusion patterns, information of packet on the network and recorded data on the host sessions have studied. Fourth, we will create regulations between intrusion and normal behavior by practical use of logged file abstraction programs. Fifth, we will analysis intrusion detection pattern based on the created regulations and study results.

In this paper, we make clear the success factors of ERP through the demonstrative analysis for introduction of ERP in company. We derive the influence factor when the ERP package is introduced in company by observing the condition of present ERP package, and study the relationship of successful introduction of ERP and the characteristics of organizational environment and information system. Furthermore, we show the useful material to guide the way of successful introduction for the company which has a plan to introduce the ERP system.

Recently, companies are currently focusing on making huge investments in both time and money on CRM by which they can generate profits through establishing long term relationship with customers while understanding customers" propositions by gathering and analyzing information on customers. But, CRM has many problems that make companies confused. Yet, this phenomenon can be regarded as an interim one. In fact, some cases that successfully introduced CRM show that CRM is migrating from small scale which is typical when introduced to larger scale through various tests. Therefore, this study tries to grasp common problems which most companies utilizing CRM are facing and present solutions to such problems in utilizing CRM. For these purposes, we try to determine the most important and most urgent factors in CRM utilization by using AHP, one of the Multi-criteria decision-making methods proposed by Satty. AHP is widely used for determining relative magnitude per evaluation item, i. e. priority on problems and is expected to make more systematic and objective evaluations than conventional methods do. Even in the present situation where any general criterion on CRM dose not exist, utilization of CRM is expected to be actively continued, which will cause many problems. In this regard, evaluating CRM counts. This study also tries to present a model applicable to such CRM evaluations.

The purpose of this study is to apply physiognomic judgement that judges character according to face types to marketing and sensibility engineering, and to analyze the difference of the purchasing behavior, the sensibility, and the character according to face and eyebrow types. The questionary result showed the facts that there are a lot of differences according to face types and eyebrow types. In particular, there are opposite inclination between the reverse-triangle and the tetragon face in purchasing behavior, and the rectangular and the tetragon face in the sensibility about the passenger car. And there are the opposite inclination between the man with risen eyebrow and declined eyebrow in sensibility on the passenger car and in character. The result of this study was that face type was related to purchasing behavior and character, and eyebrow type was connected with sensitivity and character.

The objective of this study was to analyse the antivibration characteristics of gloves by frequency band while operating light-weighted powered hand grinder. A methodology to estimate vibration isolation effectiveness of gloves was proposed on the basis of overall R.M.S. transmissibility characteristics. And overall R.M.S. transmissibilities of L-, M- and H-spectra were compared. Electric hand grinder was tested in the laboratory and attenuation performances of 3 different gloves(full finger antivibration glove, open finger antivibration glove, and cotton glove) were considered. Eight healthy male subjects were employed to polish metal plate with a tool. The results indicate that there was no significant difference among antivibration characteristics by frequency bands while operating light-weighted electric hand grinder.

A study on processing for producing cure seat radiated by Original Infrared Rays and Magnatic force. We are well aware that Original Infrared Rays and Magnatic force influence on our human body benificially. In the technical background of this research product, we treated that the product has some operations of ceramic hardwood charcoal, far infrared rays and magnetic, so it can serve large part curative values made of far infrared rays and magnetic force of ceramics. Also, in the special quality of the product deal with ceramic, hard charcoal, ferrite, gelatin what is needed in prodution. And among them, ferrite, ceramic and hard charcoal are introduced by the manufacturing process of the moleculeization. In concluding, this study described the manufacturing process on the basis of the worksheets and arranged theuseful effect which effect on human body. There are so many symptoms in the pain of muscle. It"s very various. for example, it is the cause of the liver, the spleen and a kidney function"s weakening. the cause of the backbone subluxation, the cause of the shoulderjoint and scapula, the cause of the sacrum andiliacjoint, the cause of hip joint and the cause of a sprain. In this thesis, we mainly deal with the method which the muscle and nervous system disease by fatigue and a sprain cure seat radiated by Original Infrared Rays and Magnatic force. then, Original Infrared Rays and Magnatic force pack up frapezius muscle, gluteus minimum muscle, gluteus medius muscle, gluteus maximus muscle, pririformis muscle around the spine. through this course the moral pressure by the nervous system disease can be treat.

In this paper, we will discussed relationship between the age and foot length. In shoe industry, age is generally divided into infant, children, young and adult shoes. We give efficient algorithms for finding shortest distances in special types of sparse network where the networks are composed of series of subnetworks which form circles. The algorithms presented in this paper are so called extensions of the non-circular sparse network algorithms The suggested algorithm is composed of two approach parts for only donut shaped sparse network, the one is the node elimination approach and the other the arc elimination approach, Our algorithms for finding all shortest distances can be extended in general circular sparse networks.

We propose an efficient algorithm to find and update sequential patterns when new transactions are added to an existing database. This method reduces time for scanning the existing and new databases since it uses only transactions that influence the length of sequence. This algorithm outperforms existing algorithm when updated sequential pattern found in the whole database are longer than the patterns in the existing database. Experimental results show the reduction in total execution time.

As for the performance estimation of the AS/RS(Automated Storage/Retrieval System) most research assumes the AS/RS machine performs only either single command (SC) or dual command (DC) at each operation, and in addition, the type of requests is known in advance, which are not adequate in the real system. In this paper, we propose a stochastic approach for the performance estimation of a unit-load AS/RS. We assume that the service time when the AS/RS performs single command is differently distributed from that of dual command. Especially, we obtain the steady state probability distribution of the numbers of storage and retrieval commands waiting in the queues at each service completion epoch.

Databases are central to business information systems and RDBMS is most widely used for the database system. Normalization was designed to control various anomalies (insert, update, delete anomalies). However, normalized database design does not account for the tradeoffs necessary for performance. In this research, we model a database design method considering denormalization of duplicating attributes in order to reduce frequent join processes. This model considers response time for processing each select, insert, update, delete transaction, and for treating anomalies. A branch and bound method is proposed for this model.
