        Current study was performed to investigate the effect of morphological properties of black ginseng such as size and shape on the quality of black ginseng. The raw ginsengs were separated based on size (medium, large, and extra-large) and shape (straight ginseng, fibrous root ginseng). Subsequently, the raw ginsengs were steamed at 95℃ for 3 h and dried in the presence of heated air at 50℃ for 30 h. This process was repeated nine times for black ginseng production. The physiochemical properties such as the content of acidic polysaccharides, ginsenosides, and antioxidative activity were evaluated. Although minor difference in physiochemical properties such as acidic polysaccharide content in raw ginseng was observed, no statistical difference in the content of acidic polysaccharides, total phenols, and ginsenosides was observed during final black ginseng production based on size classification. The minor ginsenosides in fibrous root black ginseng, such as Rk3, Rh4, Rg3, Rk1, and Rg5 were higher in content than straight black ginseng. However, no correlation between the shape of ginseng and total phenol content and antioxidative activity was observed. Therefore, present results demonstrate that the difference in ginseng size in same-age and -production area does not affect the quality of black ginseng. Furthermore, difference in ginseng shape does not influence the overall quality of black ginseng. It is hypothesized that this study would be considered as supportive data for the production of high-quality black ginseng.

        Geopolymers have many advantages over Portland cement, including energy efficiency, reduced greenhouse gas emissions, high strength at early age and improved thermal resistance. Alkali activated geopolymers made from waste materials such as fly ash or blast furnace slag are particularly advantageous because of their environmental sustainability and low cost. However, their durability and functionality remain subjects for further study. Geopolymer materials can be used in various applications such as fire and heat resistant fiber composites, sealants, concretes, ceramics, etc., depending on the chemical composition of the source materials and the activators. In this study, we investigated the thermal properties and microstructure of fly ash and blast furnace slag based geopolymers in order to develop eco-friendly construction materials with excellent energy efficiency, sound insulation properties and good heat resistance. With different curing times, specimens of various compositions were investigated in terms of compressive strength, X-ray diffraction, thermal property and microstructure. In addition, we investigated changes in X-ray diffraction and microstructure for geopolymers exposed to 1,000 oC heat.

        PURPOSES: This study was initiated to analyze the characteristics of bus traffic accidents, by bus types, using the decision tree in order to establish customized safety alternatives by bus types, including the intra-city bus, rural area bus, and inter-city bus. METHODS: In this study, the major elements involved in bus traffic accidents were identified using decision trees and CHAID algorithm. The decision tree was used to identify the characteristics of major elements influencing bus traffic accidents. In addition, the CHAID algorithm was applied to branch the decision trees. RESULTS : The number of casualties and severe injuries are high in bus accidents involving pedestrians, bicycles, motorcycles, etc. In the case of light injury caused by bus accidents, different results are found. In the case of intra-city bus accidents, the probability of light injury is of 77.2% when boarding a non-owned car and breaching of duty to drive safely are involved. In the case of rural area bus accidents, the elements showing the highest probability of light injury are boarding an owned car, vehicle-to-vehicle accidents, and breaching of duty to drive safely. In the case of intra-city bus accidents, boarding owned car, streets, and vehicle-to-vehicle accidents work as the critical elements. CONCLUSIONS: In this study, the bus accident data were categorized by bus types, and then the influential elements were identified using decision trees. As a result, the characteristics of bus accidents were found to be different depending on bus types. The findings in this study are expected to be utilized in establishing effective alternatives to reduce bus accidents.

        PURPOSES: This study was initiated to estimate the benefits from the campaign to prevent drowsy driving crashes on expressways. The study was conducted by the Korea Expressway Corporation using a contingent valuation method. METHODS : First, a questionnaire was designed for a preliminary survey. From the survey’s results, the initial willingness to pay for the campaign was determined by averaging different amounts of payments chosen under virtual scenarios in the survey. The willingness to pay data was used to find a first bid price for the open-ended method used for the second survey. After that, a primary questionnaire was designed and conducted using a single dichotomous choice question (SDBCQ). Drivers at expressway resting areas were asked their willingness to pay for the campaign. Based on statistical analysis using data collected from the second survey, the mean willingness to pay was estimated using a probability utility function. Finally, the benefit from the campaign was calculated using the estimated willingness to pay and accident data on expressways. CONCLUSIONS : Based on the result from the contingent valuation method, the benefit from the campaign to prevent drowsy driving crashes was estimated to be 170.6 won per expressway trip. The benefit is to be paid as an additional toll. In addition, the traffic crash cost estimate is about 2,209,680,000 won less than the cost during the same period in 2014.

        The objective of this study is to explore the preference differences of experience programs in rural areas according to socio-demographic characteristics. For this purpose, data were collected from a total of 481 adults visited in rural social enterprises in 2015, using self-administered questionnaire survey. Twenty-six items for evaluating the preference of experience program were measured using 5 score Likert scale and were extracted to 6 factors such as physical, ecological, historical culture, recreational and healing, watching show, and rural life experience. The results were as follows: first, visitors preferred the ecological experience the most and in order of recreational and healing, rural life, physical activity, historical culture, and watching show. Secondly, physical activity were preferred by young people, the unmarried, and student. Ecological, historical culture, recreational and healing, rural life experience were preferred by higher income earner or highly educated. Based on these results, implications for developing customized consumer’s experience program for rural social enterprises will be suggested.

        This research project provides the opportunity of foundation for Ministry of Agriculture y Ganaderia (MAG), University of El Savador (UES), and Centro Nacional de Tecnología Agropecuaria y Forestal (CENTA) and potato farmers of El Salvador to implement to achieve the project goal of poverty alleviation, nutrition improvement, and income increase of farmers through the establishment of sustainable self dependent national infrastructure for seed potato production and supply system and organized network of production of farmers. Kangwon National University has been designated by KOICA to implement the APP Track-II Project from April, 2015 to March, 2016. The support activities and research result include 'virus-free seed potato production facilities and laboratory equipment' provided to UES and CENTA, 'technology transfer of virus free seed potato production' such as making substrate, tissue culture, pathology test, subculture, mini tuber production, and some joint research result achievement, and various technological training conducted for participating researchers and local potato farmers for the virus-free seed potato production, table potato and seed potato cultivation technology, and the standard farming technology as well.

        The regional innovation center (RIC) has been closely linked with college or university of the region in the capacity of research collaboration and business activities. In this relationship, the role of college or university becomes utmost important especially in developing countries. This study intends to redirect the role of regional university in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. The tasks for reformulating the agricultural university are associated with the curriculum, the capacity building of faculty, and the operation system of RIC. Finally, this paper suggests that the divided departments of the university should be merged to improve the quality of education and research. Also the university need to focus on extension for agri-business and strengthening lecturer’s competency for development of professional human capitals.

        Essential oils (EOs) extracted from plants possess various biological activities and have been considered as natural insecticides due to their potent insecticidal activities. In regard to develop natural insecticides, EOs are formulated as an emulsifiable concentrate and their acute toxicity against to fishes were determined in a static condition using Cyprinus carpio. Coriander EO was used as an active ingredient mixed with ethanol for solvent and various surface active agents. The tested EOs were obtained from a commercial market, and three different extractions were also undertaken to produce EO using steam distillation, solvent extraction, and supercritical fluid extraction. Among the emulsifiable concentrate including a commercial coriander EO, surface active agents such as Tween 80, sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate (SDBS), and mixture of SDBS and Nonidet showed acute toxicity to the fish. With the three different EO extraction, coriander EO obtained from supercritical fluids with Triton X-100 exhibited acute toxicity to C. carpio. Taken together, Tetgitol and Nondet are considered as surface active agents for the emulsifiable formulation of coriander EO.

        목적 : 본 연구는 사회참여도를 평가하는 사회참여 척도(Reintegration to Normal Living Index; RNLI)를 한국어로 번안하고 신뢰도 및 타당도를 검증하기 위해 실시하였다. 연구방법 : RNLI를 번역-역번역하여 내용 타당도 검증을 실시하였고, 안면타당도 검증은 K-RNLI(Korean version of the Reintegration to Normal Living Index; K-RNLI) 대상자의 문항에 대한 이해도 정도로 검사하였다. 준거타당도 검증은 K-RNLI와 Frenchay 일상생활활동 자기평가 지수(Frenchay Activities Index; FAI), 삶의 만족도(The Satisfaction with Life Scale; SWLS)와의 상관관계를 분석하여 기존의 도구와 얼마나 관련성이 있는 가를 검증하였다. K-RNLI 신뢰도 검증은 내적일치도와 검사-재검사 신뢰도를 검증하였다. 결과 : 연구 결과 내용타당도 검증에서 K-RNLI 도구 전체의 내용타당도 지수(Content Validity Index; CVI)는 .85로 매우 높게 나타났고, 안면타당도는 .98로 매우 높게 나타났다. 준거타당도는 K-RNLI는 FAI(γ=.74) 와 SWLS(γ=.54)와 높은 상관관계를 보였다(p< .01). 신뢰도 검증에서는 내적일치도가 Cronbach’s α 값이 .99로 높은 수준으로 나타났고, 검사-재검사 신뢰도는 .99로 매우 높은 상관관계를 보였다(p< .01) 결론 : 본 연구 결과는 한국에 거주하는 뇌졸중 환자에게 적용하였을 때 사회참여도를 평가할 수 있는 도구 로써 높은 신뢰도와 타당도를 보였다. K-RNLI를 통해 뇌졸중 환자의 사회참여 수준을 파악하고 중재계 획 및 중재결과, 연구를 위한 유용한 평가도구로 사용될 수 있을 것이라 기대한다.

        During the field operation of the Korean MBT(Main Battle Tank), the multi-smoke projectile launching system failed to function. As a result of conducting analysis, it was confirm that the gear shaft of reducer was failed. Therefore, a study on improvement in impact resistance of the reducer was conducted. The reducer was improved impact resistance by changing the design and material of gear shaft. The reliability of modified reducer was investigated by finite element analysis, performance and environmental tests. As a result of analysis, a strength of the modified gear shaft was improved by about 20 times than before improvement. The results of performance and environmental test show that the modified reducer is applicable for Korean MBT under the severe conditions. The quality improvement of multi-smoke projectile launching system contributes to survivability of Korean MBT.

        The characteristics of CNT-Polyamide composites were analyzed, that is, tensile strength, electrical resistivity, and thermal conductivity were measured according to the align length of CNT. There have been researches on the influence of aligned CNT to improve the mechanical and thermal characteristics in different areas including absorption and shielding of electromagnetic wave, thermal distribution or absorption, and high-strength of CNT. The aligned CNTs were synthesized by the ethylene gas with a CVD device preheated at 650℃. CNT-Polyamide composites were produced with the mixing of solution. CNT contents were controlled from 1phr to 50phr in the polyamide-ethanol solution, and blended with the 700W bar-type ultrasonic wave for 60 min.. And then CNT-polyamide were precipitated by CNT-polyamide-etnanol falling into the cold water. After dried 12 hours, CNT-polyamide composite were pressed at 150℃~180℃ with 400kgf to get the thickness of 1mm. As the conclusions, aligned CNT bundles were dispersed by cutting of CNT to the aligned direction because of polyamide properties. Tensile strength and electrical resistivity were improved to the increase of aligned length of CNT. Thermal conductivity was little affected by the align length of CNT.

        가스 터빈은 기동 및 정지 횟수가 많기 때문에 열피로나 취화 현상으로 인한 가스터빈 케이싱의 균열 또는 케이싱의 플랜 지면에서 고온고압 가스의 누설이 발생할 가능성이 높다. 따라서 가스터빈 케이싱의 구조안전성 및 플랜지면에서의 누설평 가는 반드시 수행되어야 하는 부분이다. 본 논문에서는 유한요소해석을 바탕으로 터빈 케이싱의 ASME B&PVC VIII-2 구 조안전성 평가 및 접촉압력을 통한 누설 평가 그리고 볼트의 구조안전성 평가를 진행하였다. 또한 가스터빈 케이싱의 유한 요소모델링 및 해석/평가 방법을 제안하여 가스터빈 개발에 활용할 수 있게 하였다.

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the chemical contents (sugar, nitrogen, and amino acids) and sensory characteristics of traditional soy sauce according to three different methods. The samples were taken from four different periods (0, 20, 40, and 60 days after fermentation). Total sugar contents increased in all groups according to ripening period, and Gyupjang (G) showed the highest sugar content among the groups. Total nitrogen and amino acid contents of all groups increased after 60 days of ripening, and Gyupjang (G) and Gyupjang mixed with salt water (SG) had higher total nitrogen content compared to Chungjang (S) at the same period. The results from the sensory evaluation show that preferable sensory characteristics, such as color preferences, sweetness, umami taste, and overall preference, were significantly higher in Gyupjang (G) and Gyupjang mixed with salt water (SG) than in Chungjang (S). Preferable sensory characteristics had significantly high positive correlation with most amino acids, total nitrogen, and sugar contents, except for glutamine. Based on the significant difference in preferable sensory characteristics between Gyupjang mixed with salt water (SG) and Chungjang (S), Gyupjang mixed with salt water (SG) can be used to improve sensory characteristics. This research implies that adding salt water during the manufacturing Gyupjang process is advisable to yield high quality soy sauce.

        Graphene oxide (GO) powder processed by Hummer's method is mixed with p-type Bi2Te3 based thermoelectric materials by a high-energy ball milling process. The synthesized GO-dispersed p-type Bi2Te3 composite powder has a composition of Bi0.5Sb1.5Te3 (BSbT), and the powder is consolidated into composites with different contents of GO powder by using the spark plasma sintering (SPS) process. It is found that the addition of GO powder significantly decreases the thermal conductivity of the pure BSbT material through active phonon scattering at the newly formed interfaces. In addition, the electrical properties of the GO/BSbT composites are degraded by the addition of GO powder except in the case of the 0.1 wt% GO/BSbT composite. It is found that defects on the surface of GO powder hinder the electrical transport properties. As a result, the maximum thermoelectric performance (ZT value of 0.91) is achieved from the 0.1% GO/BSbT composite at 398 K. These results indicate that introducing GO powder into thermoelectric materials is a promising method to achieve enhanced thermoelectric performance due to the reduction in thermal conductivity.

        통흑마늘(WB)과 증류수를 가해 분쇄한 흑마늘(CB) 및 흑마늘 추출액(EB)을 14brix로 동일한 농도로 제조하여 7일간의 알코올 발효를 시킨 후 25일간 초산 발효 시키면서 5일 간격으로 시료를 채취하여 품질특성을 분석하였다. 흑마늘의 첨가 형태를 달리하여 제조한 식초의 pH는 발효기간에 증가함에 따 라 유의적으로 감소하는 경향을 보였으며, 발효 25일에 3.85~3.97의 범위였다. 발효 20일까지 흑마늘 식초의 산도는 모든 실험군에서 점차 증가하는 경향을 나타내었고, 환원당은 초산발효 25일 후에 WB, CB 및 EB군에서 각각 9.67%, 10.27% 및 10.11%였다. 총 폴리페놀 화합물의 함량은 발효기간 동안 불 규칙한 증감을 보였으며, WB와 CB군에서 발효 초기에 비해 25일 후 미량 증가하는 경향을 보인 반면 EB군에서는 통계적인 유의차가 없었다. S-allyl-L- cysteine(SAC)의 함량은 EB, CB 및 WB군의 순으 로 높았으며, 발효 25일 후에 7.00~19.64mg/100mL였으나 발효 초기에 비해 유의적인 차이는 없었다. 유기산은 총 6종이 검출되었으며 검출된 유기산 중 acetic acid(5341.17~5857.60mg/100mL)의 함량이 가장 높았고 EB군의 경우 citric acid의 함량은 다른 실험군에 비해 63% 정도로 낮은 함량이었으나 propionic acid는 약 1.8배 이상 높은 함량으로 흑마늘의 첨가 형태에 따른 차이가 컸다. 흑마늘 식초 의 무기물 중 칼륨의 함량이 월등히 높았고, 다음으로 인, 마그네슘의 순이었고, 이들을 제외한 무기물 함량은 100mg/L 미만이었다.

        본 연구에서는 외국 기업의 CSR이 개도국 소비자의 구매의도에 영향을 미치는지를 확인하고자 한다. 선행 연 구에서는 다국적기업의 개도국에서의 CSR이 글로벌 이해관계자에 미치는 영향이 큰 것으로 보고하고 있으나, 개 도국 소비자에 미치는 영향에 관하여서는 명확하지 않다. 구체적으로 본 연구에서는 베트남 소비자를 대상으로 자선적 CSR이 기업이미지와 구매의도에 미치는 영향을 분석하였고, 기업이미지에 따라 CSR 효과가 달라질 수 있는지를 검증하였다. 검증 결과, 기대와 달리 베트남 소비자에게는 자선적 CSR이 구매의도에 미치는 영향이 크지 않았다. 구체적으로, 베트남 소비자들의 CSR 인식은 구매의도에 직접적인 영향을 주지 않았다. 그러나 CSR은 기업이미지에 유 의한 영향을 미치고, 기업이미지를 통해 간접적으로 구매의도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 CSR 효 과는 호의적인 브랜드에서는 나타나지 않았다.

        본 연구에서는 최대한 인삼의 외형을 원형삼 형태의 홍삼 과 유사하게 유지하면서도 기능성은 증진시킬 수 있는 신속 한 고온고압 처리 공정을 확립하기 위하여 다양한 고온고압 처리공정 조건에 따른 이화학적 성분 특성 및 항산화 활성 변화를 살펴보았다. 산성다당체 및 홍삼 특유의 진세노사이 드 Rh1, Rg2, Rg3의 함량은 140℃, 3 kg/cm2의 고온고압 처리 조건에서 가장 높은 반면, 총 페놀 화합물 및 말톨 함량은 156℃, 5 kg/cm2의 고온고압 처리조건에서 가장 높았다. 그러 나 홍삼의 증자 처리 시 156℃, 5 kg/cm2의 처리조건에서는 시 료가 터지거나 외형의 변형이 심하기 때문에 140℃, 3 kg/cm2를 최적 온도 및 압력으로 설정하였다. 한편, 증자 시간이 증 가함에 따라 총 페놀 화합물, 말톨 및 흑삼특이 진세노사이드 함량은 지속적으로 증가하는 경향을 나타내었으나, 20분간 처리한 군의 외형이 기존의 홍삼과 가장 유사한 외관을 나타 냈으므로, 140℃, 3 kg/cm2에서 20분 동안 증자 처리하는 것 을 본 실험의 최적 조건으로 설정하였다. 최종적으로 이러한 최적조건을 통해 제조된 홍삼의 항산화 효능을 분석한 결과, 시중에서 판매되는 백삼, 홍삼 및 흑삼과 비교하여 높은 항산 화 성분 및 항산화 활성을 나타냈다. 따라서 본 연구를 통해 확립된 고온고압 처리를 통한 신규홍삼 제조기술은 그 형태 가 기존의 홍삼 제품과 유사하면서도 공정이 신속하고, 품질 은 흑삼과 비슷한 고기능성 신규 인삼제품 개발 시 응용 가능 한 공정으로 사료된다.

        With increasing demands of transportation services for disabled or aged people, who need wheelchairs, it is recommended to install wheelchairs inside automotive vehicles. However, wheelchairs are not effectively safe devices during car crash unless they are properly fixed. So far, few data have been found related to wheelchair safety or characteristics during car crash, therefore, frontal crash simulations have been carried out based on the FE models of a dummy and a conventional wheelchair including the wheelchair fixing belts and the install plate in the present study. Head injury criteria (HIC) and motion criteria (MC) are investigated and the optimum value of the design variable was found by the Robust design.

        최근 신재생 에너지 중 하나인 풍력발전에 대한 관심이 증가하고 있다. 풍력발전은 토지구입비, 소음문제에 자유로운 해상풍력으로 추세가 옮겨가고 있으며 이를 위한 연구개발이 전 세계적으로 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 그러나 해상에 위치한 풍력발전을 위한 설계기준은 국내, 국외 모두 없는 실정이다. 이 점을 고려하여 국내, 국외의 구조설계기준인 도로교 설계기준, 항만 및 어항 설계기준, DNV OS를 참고하여 다중 파일기초 콘크리트 지지구조물(MCF)의 내진해석을 수행하여 결과를 비교하였다. 또한 시간에 의한 효과를 확인하기 위하여 시간이력 해석 또한 수행되었다. 부가질량법(Added-mass method)을 사용하여 물과 구조의 상호작용을 고려하였고 물의 유무에 따라 구조물의 반응을 비교하였다.
