In terms of development of intelligent information devices, the most important element is the function which is able to deliver the information user wants to input on the device without complexities. By using the mean such as our voice, expression, gesture and physical contact we use in our daily routine, we are able to interact with device easily and simply. In this paper, we are initiated to present interactive surface system, in which allows users to use their hand gesture as a function of mouse and keyboard free, to be interacted within the platform of management strategy simulation game we developed, ‘R-Day’.

The thermal stability and mechanical properties of Nephila clavata and Bassaniana decorata spider silks were measured and compared with those of aramid and polyester fibers. The thermal stability of the spider silk was lower than those of the commercial aramid and polyester fibers. However, the mechanical properties of the spider silk were far superior to that of the polyester fiber. The effect of the water content of the spider silk on its thermal stability and mechanical property was examined by conducting the silk to heat treatment at 100℃ under vacuum for various times. The results indicated that spider silk subjected to heat treatment for 1.5 hr had excellent thermal stability and mechanical property.

KNI3126 which is the eco-friendly material made by plant extracts - neem and matrine - have been evaluated for efficacies against 6 main pests and toxicity on natural enemies. Insecticidal efficacies of KNI3126 against plant hopper were above 95% at 5 days after treatment (DAT), whereas pesticidal effects against the cotton aphid were above 95% at 3 DAT and slightly decreased at 5 DAT. Insecticidal efficacy against the palm thrips resulted in lower control value as 68.1% than that of chemical insecticides. KNI3126 showed more than 95% control value against diamond back moth, suggesting that it could suppress the population of pest hard to control as eco-friendly material. Mortalities against two-spotted spider mite were about 80% at 1 DAT and over 90% at 5 DAT, respectively. For evaluation of the toxicity on natural enemies, effect against predatory natural enemy was classified as moderate selective toxicity based on the criterion of International Organization of Bio-Control (IOBC), whereas against parasitic natural enemies was found to be relatively safe. Repellent effect was weak against plant hopper, but strong against two-spotted spider mite. In the toxicity test for safety, KNI3126 was classified as the lowest level at acute oral, acute dermal and fish toxicity test and did not induce the irritancy at skin irritation test and eye irritation test.

Male adults of bean bug, Riptortus clavatus Thunberg (Heteroptera: Alydidae), release aggregation pheromone (AP) which consists of (E)-2-hexenyl (Z)-3-hexenoate (E2HZ3H), (E)-2-hexenyl (E)-2-hexenoate (E2HE2H), and tetradecyl isobutyrate (TI). Variation in the pheromonal secretion were checked by the factors of age, mating status, seasons, body weight and time in a day. There were no significant differences in the amounts of AP secretion by mating, body weight, and time in a day. Higher amount of AP was detected from older males than younger ones. The amount of AP detected was higher in the males collected from April to September than in those collected during October. No AP was detected in the males of November and December. These phenomena in the AP secretion were discussed in relation to food exploitation and reproductive diapause of the bean bug.

To characterize testing bags for the interior parts and components of new vehicles, three types kinds of bags (Tedlar bag, Polyester Al bag, and PET bag) were selected and investigated.. All testing bags were initially purged with 5 L of pure nitrogen gas. Then, they were heated consecutively for four times in a chamber at 60 and 100℃ at hourlys intervals. Changes in background concentration levels of VOCs and HCHO were then measured. After the 4th heat treatment at 100℃, the background concentrations in PET bag were lower by 5 times than the ftrst time treatment. The results of PET bags were superior to the other bags under the same treatment conditions. Even without heat treatment test, the background concentrations of PET bag was also lower than the others by 2 to 6 times. Based on our results, it can be concluded that the PET bag is the most suitable for sample tests as it is physically the most stable along with the lowest background of all 3 sample bags with the least bias.

A 14-year-old intact female, mixed dog was presented with hematuria and strangury. Mass in the abdominal cavity was seen on radiographs and ultrasound. On the cytological examination in the urethra, clusters of pleomorphic epithelial cell were found. Tissues of the urethra and the urinary bladder were obtained at the time laparotomy and determined the extent of the mass. Transitional cell carcinoma (TCC) of the urinary bladder was found in histopathologic characteristics. Urinary diversion after removal of a complete full section of the TCC in bladder wall was performed. Piroxicam, as a medical therapy for TCC, was orally administrated. Surgical operation and chemotherapy were selected with the goal of maintaining and improving quality of life.

Semi-automatic cryogenic-preconcentrator is constructed with time controlling function in preconcentration and desorption stage. GC-FPD and cryogenic-preconcentrator were to analyze gaseous sulfur compounds (hydrogen sulfide, methanethiol, dimethyl sulfide, and dimethyl disulfide) in ppbv level. The objective of this study was to offer reliable methods for sulfur gas analysis in all procedures (keeping, concentration, desorption, and detection). The cryo-concentrator was able to concentrate 4 L gas sample of 40 % relative humidity. The recovery rate of the system was in the range of 92~100 % at 30 seconds of pre-heating time, and method detection limits were shown up 0.16~0.20 ng which is able to quantify 1 ppbv level with 0.5 L gas sample. The storage time of 5 ppbv sample in polyethylene bag led to serious loss (e.g; H₂S: loss of 30% after storage 3 days). It was estimated that the analytical bias was affected more sensitively by storage time after sampling than by cryo-injection procedures in the analysis of hydrogen sulfide and methanethiol.

본 연구의 목적은 온도, pH, 탄소원, 질소원 그리고 기질에 따른 아위버섯(Pleurotus ferulae )의 균사 생장 특성을 이해하는 것이었다. 아위버섯의 균사생장에는 MEA(malt extract agar)배지가 가장 효과적이었고, 균사생장에 최적 온도 범위는 25~30℃, 최적 pH는 6.0~8.0 이지만 균주에 따라 차이가 있었다. 아위버섯 균사 생장에 효과적인 탄소원으로는 arabinose, 질소원으로는 arginine 이었다. 그리고 균사생장에 효과적인 기질은 참나무 톱밥과 면실피를 8: 2의 비율로 섞은 배지였다.

곰보버섯의 자실체 색은 갈색 또는 회갈색이고 갓의 형태는 원뿔모양이며, 대의 색은 흰 크림색 또는 흰색이다. 자실체를 반으로 잘라보면 갓과 대는 속은 비어있다. 자실체의 현미경 관찰에서 자낭의 크기는 113.5~114.2×9.3~10.3㎛, 자낭포자의 크기는 17.6~20.9×9.4~10.7㎛, 측사는 40.0~45.2×5.8~6.4㎛, 대의 안쪽세포는 7.5~15.1㎛이었다. 곰보버섯 자실체 발생지 환경조건은 온도 13.8℃, 습도 75.8%, 광 538룩스이며, 토성은 sand 72.7%, silt 21.0%, clay 6.3%로 silt loamy 이며, 유기물 함량은 10.0%로 밭 토양보다 많고 인산함량은 낮았다. 균주별 균사배양 최적배지는 PDB 배지이며, 배양최적 온도는 25℃, pH는 5.0이었으며, 합성배지인 Czapek에 배지에 조정된 무기태 성분의 최적농도는 potassium phosphate 1%, sodium nitrate 2%, potassium chloride은 대조구에서 좋았다. 영양원 선발에서 최적 탄소원은 mannose이었으며, 최적농도는 5%이었다. 질소원은 대조구에 비하여 균사생육이 극히 저조하였다. 곰보버섯 균핵 형성 촉진배지 선발시험에서 균사생장과 균핵 형성이 좋은 배지는 폐면 이었으며, 톱밥에서는 참나무톱밥에서 균사생장이 빨랐다. 폐면과 참나무톱밥의 혼합비율은 참나무톱밥 20%+폐면 80% 혼합수준에서 균핵 형성이 좋았고 첨가제인 밀기울의 혼합비율은 15-20%, 황산칼슘은 2% 수준에서 균핵 형성이 좋았다. 토양종류별 균핵 형성은 피트모스 처리구에서 균사생장 및 균핵 형성이 가장 좋았으며, 피트모스의 혼합비율은 60-80%이나, 참나무를 혼합하면 50:50으로 혼합 처리한 구에 밀기울을 30% 첨가하면 균핵 형성이 가장 좋았다.

여름철 인천항과 부산항에 서식하는 대형저서동물군집의 구조를 파악하고자 하였다. 인천항의 9개 조사정점에서 출현한 대형저서동물 군집의 출현종수는 총 88종이었고, 서식밀도는 3,212개체 m-2, 생물량은 239 g m-2였다. 인천항내에서는 다모류의 Tharyx sp., C. setosa 등이 우점하였고, 외해에 위치한 정점에서는 이매패류인 M. senhousia, 다모류인 S. scutat 등이 우점하였다. 인천항에서 출현한 대형저서

Four-week repeated-dose toxicity of Misaengtang (MST) was evaluated according to Toxicity Test Guideline of Korea Food and Drug Administration using 6-week-old Sprague-Dawley rats. Based on the results of preliminary single-dose toxicity study, confirming safety up to an upper-limit dose, MST was dissolved in drinking water and orally administered at doses of 500, 1,000, or 2,000 mg/kg for 28 days. All doses including the upper-limit limited dose (2,000 mg/kg) of MST did not cause any abnormalities of rats, including mortality, clinical signs, body weight gain, feed/water consumption, necropsy findings, organ weights, hematology and blood biochemistry. Rather, high doses (1,000-2,000 mg/kg) of MST reduced the serum levels of alanine transaminase, aspartate transaminase, creatinine phosphokinase, lactate dehydrogenase and triglycerides, in addition to an increase in glucose, indicative of protective effects on hepatic and muscular injuries. Both maximum-tolerable dose and no-observed-adverse-effect level were not determined. The results indicate that long-term intake of high-dose MST might not induce general adverse-effects.

목적 : 연구의 목적은 우리나라 노인들의 문화와 정서에 적합한 활동척도를 개발하여 남녀 노인의 활동 수준과 의미 있는 활동을 비교하고, 노인의 삶의 질에 영향을 미치는 요인들의 관련성을 규명하였다. 연구방법 : 연구의 대상은 60세 이상 남자 노인 199명, 여자 노인 258명으로 총 457명이 참여하였으며, 노인생활만족척도를 사용하여 노인의 삶의 질을 평가하였다. 또한 노인의 활동수준은 평가를 위해 한국판 활동척도를 개발하여 연구에 이용하였다. 결과 : 노인의 수행 활동을 성별로 비교하여 볼 때 여자 노인은 수단적 일상생활을 남자 노인은 고강도 신체활동을 더 많이 하였으며, 노인의 활동과 삶의 질과의 상관관계를 통하여 남, 여, 전체 노인에서 수단적 일상생활, 저강도 신체활동, 고강도 신체활동, 사회활동에 많이 참여할수록 삶의 질은 높았다. 최종적으로 위계적 다중선형회귀분석을 통하여 노인의 삶의 질에 영향을 주는 요인으로는 전체 노인의 경우 연령, 건강상태, 생활수준, 노후설계 준비기간, 사회활동이, 남자 노인의 경우 건강상태, 배우자 유무, 생활수준, 노후설계 준비기간이 삶의 질을 예측할 수 있는 요인으로 작용하였으며, 여자 노인의 경우 연령, 건강상태, 생활수준, 노후 설계 준비기간, 사회활동이 삶의 질을 예측할 수 있는 요인으로 작용하였다. 결론 : 연구 결과를 토대로 남녀 노인에 적합한 성별에 따른 차별화된 활동을 개발하고 1차, 2차, 3차 예방 사업에 사회활동 요소를 포함하여야 할 것이다. 향후 전국 조사를 통하여 우리나라 노인들을 대상으로 활동 수준과 삶의 질과의 관련성을 규명할 수 있는 다양한 연구들이 수행되어야 할 것이며, 작업치료적 관점에서 장애 노인을 대상으로한 활동의 변화와 삶의 질에 대한 연구가 진행되어야 할 것을 제언한다.

There has been much research on the reliability and durability of the product life cycle using accelerated life test(ALT), accelerated stress test(AST) and accelerated stress audit(ASA) in the industry. Most of these systems use vibration induced by acceleration and deceleration. The device used for these kinds of research should have wide-band exciting frequency ranges to find the weak mode of the product. In this paper, platform of ALT based on the Stewart platform is controlled by using pneumatic actuators. Pneumatic actuators use motion and impact in this paper to cause wide-band exciting frequency. The change in frequency and pressure in the six cylinders is used to control the level of exciting vibration. Many control strategies are tested to improve the performance and one of the best control algorithms is suggested.

A new plate heat exchanger for water-refrigeration systems such as chillers has been developed. Before forming, two stainless steel plates are placed on each other and connected by tig welding. To outline of the plate did the seam welding, in order to form the flow pass on the plate inside the spot welding used. After the plates have been welded, the plates are hydraulically inflated using pressure by water or nitrogen.The plate is made of an SUS plate of 1m×2m in length and 1.2mm in thickness and are fixed in the top of the water tank.As a result of these, it is concluded that the plate exhibits good cooling performance and the average cooling capacity is approximately 2.9RT/plate and the average coefficient of performance (COP) of chiller system is 3.16.
