        본 연구는 기장 종자의 발아활력 증진과 입모 균일성을 통한 안정적인 생산을 위해 염수선(비중) 종자정선을 활용한 통한 발아율, 유모의 소질 및 포장 출현율을 알아보고자 수행하였다. 1. 염수선에 따른 기장은 비중이 높아질수록 천립중이 증가 하였으며, 표준발아에서는 정선 종자에서 3품종 모두 91% 이상 발아율을 보였으며, 비중선 1.040 g l-1에서 ‘황금’ 98.9%, ‘이백찰’ 99.4%, ‘황실찰’ 98.9%로 가장 높았다. 2. 모 소질을 조사한 결과 초장에서는 비정선 종자에 비해, 정선된 종자에서 평균 초장은 2.0, 2.2 및 1.9 cm 길었고, 엽장에서는 ‘황금’과 ‘이백찰’에서만 유의성이 있었으며, 경직경과 SPAD에서는 염수선 비중에 따른 유의성이 보이지 않았다. 3. 염수선에 정선된 종자의 평균 근장, 근중 및 경중 모두 길거나 무거웠으며, 근장에서는 1.040 g l-1에서 비정선 종자에 비해 2.9, 3.0 및 2.9 cm 길게 나타났고, 근중과 경중에서도 1.040 g l-1에서 가장 무겁게 조사되었다. 4. 포장 발아활력 검정에서는 품종에 따라 평균출아일수에서만 유의성이 있었으며, 염수선 처리에서는 출아율 및 출아율지수에서 고도의 유의성이 나타났다. 3품종 모두 비중선이 높을수록 출아율과 출아율지수가 증가하였고, 비중선 1.040 g l-1 에서 가장 높은 90.7, 85.3 및 92.8% 출아율이 나타났다. 5. 기장의 출아율 증진과 입모 균일성 향상을 통한 생산성 증대를 위해서는 염수선을 통해 비중선 1.040 g l-1에서의 종자를 선별이 유리한 것으로 사료된다.

        Soluble salts are dominant form at reclaimed tidal saline soil, which can be improved by leaching with excessive irrigation water. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of irrigation on soil salinity and corn (Zea mays) growth at reclaimed tidal saline soil. A field experiment was conducted at Saemangeum reclaimed tidal land in Korea, during two successive growing seasons between 2013 and 2014. During the growing season, three different irrigation practices were applied as following; (1) irrigation at −35 kPa, (2) irrigation at −50 kPa, and (3) no-irrigation. Soil salinity was significantly decreased with increasing irrigation rates. Soluble cations were statistically decreased with irrigation; especially the depression of soluble Na was greater than other cations. Corn growth was significant with irrigation practice and the length of stem, panicle number, and stem thickness was statistically greater compared to the control. Although the germination rate was more than 95% in all treatment, withering rate was great in both growing seasons, which was significantly decreased with irrigation practice. Our results indicated that salt control is critical at reclaimed tidal saline soil and irrigation practice based on soil potential could be one of the best management options to alleviate salt damages for stable crop production at reclaimed tidal saline soil.

        목 적 : DWI 영상은 뇌경색(infarction)과 종양(tumor) 검사를 비롯해서 널리 사용되고 있다. 주로 EPI를 이용한 경우에는 검사시간이 짧아 유용하게 이용되지만 특정 검사부위에서 영상왜곡이 심하게 발생하므로, TSE를 이용한 영상과 비교 평가하고자 한다. 대상 및 방법 : 지원자 중 정상군 6명(성인남자 6명, 45.25+10.24)을 대상으로 3.0T 자기공명영상장치(Philips Ingenia system: Nederland Version R5.1.7)의 Head coil을 이용하여 데이터를 획득하였다. 검사기법으로는 Single-shot EPI기법과 TSE기법을 사용하였으며 매개변수로는 TR/TE:Shortest, FA:90◦°, Thickness:2mm, Nogap, SENSE Factor:2, b-value:1000(s/mm2)과 각각 FOV:200mm, Matrix:111x112와 FOV:180mm, Matrix:100x100으로 검사하였다. Signal Intensity의 측정은 Philips사의 Viewforum을 사용하였으며, NEX값은 1, 2, 3, 4로 변화시켰다. Cerebellum의 Anterior lobe(Cerebellar nuclei)와 Posterior lobe(Inferior semilunar lobule)에 각각 ROI의 Signal Intensity(SI)를 측정하여 Signal to Noise Ratio(SNR)를 비교 평가하였으며, 영상왜곡 정도를 방사선사 5명이 평가하였다. 결 과 : Cerebellum의 Anterior lobe과 Posterior lobe에서 EPI기법을 사용한 경우는 NEX값이 증가함에 따라 SNR값이 각각, 163.93±1.52, 102.70±1.39, 80.70±1.34, 67.56±1.28과 156.91±1.85, 125.64±1.43, 99.07±1.39, 84.59±1.53으로 측정되었으며, TSE기법을 사용한 경우는 각각, 357±1.42, 158.00±1.04, 69.93±1.48, 55.89±1.87과 368.30±1.72, 175.55±1.62, 76.18±1.79, 61.21±1.03으로 측정되었다. 영상왜곡 평가에서는 EPI기법에서 심하다가 9명으로 가장 높았으며, TSE기법에서는 매우 심하지 않다가 11명으로 가장 높게 나타났다. 결 론 : EPI기법에서는 NEX가 증가함에 따라 SNR이 감소하지만 상대적으로 감소폭이 적고, 영상왜곡 정도와 육안적 영상평가에서는 변화가 없었으며, TR이 증가하면서 검사시간이 증가하였다. TSE기법에서는 SNR의 감소폭이 상대적으로 크고, 영상왜곡 정도에는 변화가 역시 없었지만 육안적 영상평가에서는 변화가 있었으며, TR의 변화 없이 검사시간이 증가하였다. 그러므로 국소적으로 왜곡이 심한 부위에서는 TSE기법의 DWI를 이용하여 3NEX 이상을 주어 검사하는 것이 병변진단에 유용하다.

        Shortfin eel (Anguilla bicolor pacifica) is a species of commercial importance and its production is greatly affected due to the infection by Heterosporis anguillarum. In this study, we evaluated the effect of H. anguillarum infection on the growth of Shortfin eel. A disease that trunk muscle of cultured shortfin eel, Anguilla bicolor pacifica, were irregular and resulted in death, breakout of the commercial eel culture farm. We observed that the trunk muscle of infected eels were irregular and represented white or yellowish externally. Histopathologically, a great numbers of large or small spores and sporophorocysts were also observed in degenerated muscle layer. The cloning of specific gene of H. anguillarum, encoding small subunit ribosomal RNA (SSU-rRNA) was amplified by the polymerase chain reaction(PCR) from the muscle lesion of diseased eel. The size of clone gene is well matched with the size of small subunit ribosomal RNA of H. anguillarum and thus confirming the infection by H. anguillarum.

        Locust gall midge (LGM), Obolodiplosis robiniae (Haldeman) (Diptera: Cecidomyiidae), is a cecidomyiid insect forming roll-up galls on leaves of Robinia pseudoacacia Linnaeus (Fabaceae). LGM, known as native to North America, was reported from Korea and Japan in 2002. LGM was observed weekly or biweekly to clarify their voltinism and distribution within the crown of the host tree in two sites of Osan and Siheung in Korea from May to August, 2007. Density of LGM was investigated based on the number of larvae per leaf. Two generations of LGM were observed in Siheung site whereas three generations in Osan site during the present study. The result indicated that LGM had at maximum three generations per year. The density of LGM in Osan was higher in the upper crown of the host trees than middle or lower part. In Siheung, LGMs were distributed more on the exterior of the lower crown than the interior. The average number of larvae per gall was 3.3±0.1 and 2.8±0.1 individuals per leaf in Osan and Siheung, respectively.

        균일하고 치밀한 미세구조를 갖는 Pd박막이 PdCl2를 사용하는 전기도금방법으로 제조되었다. 본 연구에서는 도금온도와 전류밀도가 주요 공정변수로서 고려되었고 이에 따른 음극효율 및 제조된 Pd도금막의 결정성, 형상 및 경도 등의 특성이 측정되었고, 이들간의 상호관계성이 검토되었다. 연구결과에 따르면, PdCl2를 사용하는 본 Pd전기도금 시스템에서는 50˚C와 5mA/cm2의 조건이 도금막의 형상으로 볼 때, 최적의 도금조건이라고 간주된다. 최적 조건에서 제조된 Pd도금막의 경도는 약 600kg/mm2이었다. 변수 및 특성간의 관계성 검토 결과, Pd막의 경도는 미세구조에 의해 큰 영향을 받지만, 결정의 배향성과의 연관성은 작은 것으로 해석된다.

        In this study, an operational data set was analysed by establishing a path model to figure out the actual cause-effect relationship of a wastewater treatment plant (WWTP); in particular, for the effluent concentrations of T-N and T-P. To develop the path models, data sets of operational records including effluent concentrations and operational factors were obtained from a field scale WWTP of 680,000 m3 of treatment capacity. The models showed that the relationship networks with the correlation coefficients between variables for objective expressions indicated the strength of each relationship. The suggested path models were verified according to whether the analyzation results matched known theories well, but sophisticated minute theoric relationships could not be cropped out distinctly. This indicates that only a few paths with strong theoric casual relationships were represented as measured data due to the high non-linearity of the mechanism of the removal process in a biological wastewater treatment.

        This study was conducted to evaluate effects of seeding rate and depth during broadcast sowing on growth and yield of foxtail millet and proso millet over 2 years. The rate of sowing seeds was adjusted to 5, 7, 10 and 20 kg per ha on foxtail millet, and 5, 10, 15 and 30 kg per ha for proso millet. Sowing depth was 0.5, 1, 3, 5, 7, and 10 cm used tractor rotary attachment for shallow-tilling. The rate of seedlings standing when foxtail millet and proso millet were sowed to a depth of 0.5~5 cm was 72.0~78.0% and 73.0~80.5%, respectively. Plant height and weight at the three-leaf stage after emergence was highest for the treatment with 3 cm rotary depth. As the rate of broadcast seed sowing increased, plant length, diameter, seed length, and seeds on the panicle decreased. The grain yield of foxtail millet was highest with broadcast seed sowing of 10 kg per ha (3652, 3977 kg ha-1) and proso millet was highest at broadcast seed sowing of 15 kg per ha (2226, 2052 kg ha-1) in 2012 and 2013, respectively. Therefore, the optimum rate of sowed seeds under broadcast cultivation was 10 kg ha-1 for foxtail millet and 15 kg per ha-1 for proso millet. Optimum sowing depth for foxtail and proso millet under broadcast cultivation was 3 cm, using a rotary tractor attachment for shallow-tilling.

        This study investigated the changes in yields, antioxidant compounds, and antioxidant activities among 11 adzuki bean cultivars cultivated in a paddy field with somewhat poorly drained soil. The adzuki bean cultivars were cultivated in the paddy field from 2015 to 2016 in Milyang, Gyeongsangnam, Korea. Average soil moisture content was 16.5% in 2015 and 31.0% in 2016 at the experimental site during adzuki bean cultivation. As the soil moisture content increased, most of the adzuki bean cultivars showed deceases in stem height, first setting pod node, number of pods, 100 seed weight, and yield. Chungju-pat produced the greatest yields among the 11 cultivars in 2015 and 2016, whereas Hongeon had the smallest yields. Adzuki bean yields after paddy field cultivation was lower for all cultivars than for adzuki bean yields from the same cultivars after upland field cultivation. Chungju-pat and Chilbo-pat showed the smallest decreases in yields after paddy field cultivation, whereas Hongeon and Kumsil showed the greatest yield reductions. There were no significant differences in proximate composition. Some mineral components (P2O5, Ca, and Mg) were statistically different across cultivars. Chungju-pat had the highest Ca and Mg contents, but antioxidant components (polyphenol and flavonoids) and antioxidant activities (ABTS and DPPH) were highest in Saegil and lowest in Jungbu-pat. PCA and clustering analyses, based on the growth, yield, and antioxidant component measurements, performed to identify which variables contributed the most to separating adzuki bean cultivars or to grouping cultivars with similar characteristics. These analyses showed that the antioxidant components and antioxidant activities had the most influence on grouping cultivars together. Among the 11 cultivars, Saegil was statistically different from the other cultivars, but the other 10 cultivars were not significantly different under paddy field cultivation. Soil moisture content affected adzuki bean yield and antioxidant component contents. An increase in soil moisture led to a decrease in yield, but an increase in antioxidant components. These results provide information that will improve the selection of an appropriate adzuki bean cultivar for use in paddy fields.

        Direct seeding of sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L. Moench) has a problem of low yield including poor establishment. This poor establishment results from poor quality seed, poor seedbed preparation, seedling pests, poor sowing technique and high soil temperature. This study sought to establish the age at which sorghum seedlings can be transplanted with minimal effects on grain yield. Transplants were raised in 128 nursery tray pot. Five seedling ages were established by transplanting at 10 (T10), 15 (T15), 20 (T20), 25 (T25) and 30 (T30) days after planting (DAP). The treatment combinations were arranged in a randomized complete block design and replicated three times with an individual plot size of 6 x 5 m 2 . Each plot had five ridges with a planting space of 0.60 x 0.20 m 2 at one plants per stand. Results showed that seedling age on transplanting significantly affected growths and yields to sorghum after transplanting. Plant heights and diameters of transplants at T15 were longer than the other transplants. Conclusively, The advantages of this practice were better control of crop density and greater yields; either to fill gaps after emerging and thinning of crops or to compensate for a growth period that was too short for a complete crop cycle.

        This study investigated the changes of antioxidant compounds and antioxidant activity of adzuki bean by drainage methods in poorly drained sloping paddy field. The soil moisture contents of under pipe and open ditch drainage on very poorly drained paddy soil were 18.52±4.58 and 19.01±4.25%, and imperfectly drained paddy soil were 14.87±4.82 and 18.64±3.85%, respectively. Moisture, protein, fat and ash contents of adzuki bean with drainage methods were 10.10~11.60, 14.13~21.75, 0.02~0.73 and 2.81~3.45 g/100 g, respectively. The total polyphenol, flavonoid and tannin contents, and radical scavenging activity of adzuki bean showed significant differences by drainage methods. The total polyphenol, flavonoid, and tannin contents by drainage methods were 2.73~4.14 mg GAE/g, 1.07~1.43 mg CE/g, and 1.27~1.84 mg TAE/g, respectively. The DPPH and ABTS radical scavenging activities were 2.84~4.47 and 5.11~6.74 mg TE/g, respectively. The antioxidant compounds and radical scavenging activity of the adzuki bean by drainage methods were frequently affected soil water.

        본 연구에서는 종실의 크기가 작고 불균일한 소립종으로 파종시 초기 입모불량의 문제점을 개선하기위해 형질특성이 다른 밀수형 황금찰와 산수형 토종 품종을 대상으로 종자크기를 5가지 등급으로 선별하여 실내종자활력 평가와 포장조건에서 선별파종 효과를 비교 분석한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 주요 수수품종별 종자의 크기별 분포특성을 분석한 결과 황금찰에 비해 토종이 대립종으로 나타났으며, 종자의 균일도도 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 종자크기가 클수록 천립중과 비중, 탄수화물과 단백질 함량이 증가되었고, >3.55 mm 와 <2.36 mm의 천립중도 황금찰 19.78 g과 토종 17.91 g로 차이를 보였으며, 탄수화물과 단백질함량은 각각 0.98%, 14.61%의 차이를 보였다. 종자크기 >3.55 mm와 3.15 mm 범위에서는 탄수화물과 단백질함량 함량은 유의성이 없었으며, 탄수화물/단백질함량비도 비슷한 경향을 보였다. 종자활력을 시험한 결과 저온과 표준발아시험 모두 종자 크기가 클수록 발아율이 높은 것으로 나타났으며 종자크기가 >3.55 mm 이상의 종자 발아율이 79.8%로 높은 반면<2.36 mm에서는 51.5%로 크게 감소되는 경향을 보였으며, 2.80 mm 이하부터는 크게 떨어졌다. 포장조건에서 출아율은 황금찰의 경우 >3.55 mm에서는 92.7%로 높은 반면 <2.36 mm에서는 31.3%로 크게 낮았다. 평균출아일수는 황금찰의 경우 >3.55 mm에서는 4.26일이 소요되는 반면 <2.36 mm에서는 4.74일이 소요 되었고, 출아율지수는 >3.55 mm에서는 0.87인 반면 <2.36 mm에서는 0.26으로 종자크기가 작을수록 크게 감소되는 경향을 보였다. 수량에서는 <2.36 mm에 비해 >3.55 mm에서 황금찰 24.5%, 토종 36.9% 증가하는 경향을 보였으며 특히 3.15 mm 미만부터는 뚜렷한 수량성의 차이를 나타났다. 따라서 수수종자 크기별로 중량, 밀도, 성분분석, 표준발아 조사, 저온발아조사 등 실내 종자활력 시험과, 포장조건에서 발아시험을 수행한 결과를 종합하였을 때 3.15 mm 이상의 종자를 선별하여 파종하면 수수의 종자활력이 높아져 생산성이 크게 향상되는 것으로 판단되었다.
