        Yackwa is used as one of foods prepared for traditional rituals and holidays and enjoyed as snacks. Since Yackwas are fried, they contain oil, which can cause rancidity and undermines the freshness of Yackwas during distribution to retailers, not to mention a high level of calories. The study aims to develop baked Yackwas and analyze the quality in terms of calorie levels and characteristics by baking Yackwas in oven. Calorie level was 4.65 kcal/g in fried Yackwa, 3.96 kcal/g in baked Yackwa, and 2.95 kcal/g in baked peanut Yackwa prior to dip coating of grain syrup. baked Yackwa showed hardness of 13476.33 g/cm2 before dipping in grain syrup, which was harder than 1912.56 g/cm2 of fried Yackwa. After grain syrup coating, hardness of baked Yackwa reduced more significantly, compared with that of fried Yackwa, as grain syrup permeated through texture of Yackwa. And less hardness makes baked Yackwa tastier. Sensory evaluation was measured in a 5-point scale. Scores for texture and taste of baked Yackwa outpaced those of fried Yackwa. Score for the overall quality was 3.65 in baked Yackwa and 3.25 in baked peanut Yackwa, compared to 2.85 of fried Yackwa, indicating a higher potential of commercializing(p〈0.05).

        광대노련재의 계대사육법을 확립하기 위해 , 605% R.H., 16L.8D광주기조건 의 실내 사육환경하에서 대체먹이인 생땅콩을 급여하여 사육하면서 발육 특성과 기주 및 산란선 호성을 조사하였다. 광대노련재의 1세대 소요일수는 평균 48일이었다. 알은 유백색의 구형이고 1 난괴당 산란수는 14개가 대부분이었다. 알.약충의 발육기간을 조사한 결과 알기간은 8.20.4일 이었고 각 령별 약충기간은 1령 5.40.2일,2령 8.40.5일, 3령 6.40.4일,4령 7.40.3일,5령 12.60.8일이였다. 성충의 생존일수는 수컷이 평균 30.8일, 암컷은 35.4일 정도였다. 성충화율은 5 57.1%였는데 암수비융은 47: 53으로 수컷의 비율이 약간 높았다. 산란전기간은 평균 22.5일이었 고 펑균산란회수는 4.4회였다. 산란선호성은 기주식물이 있을 경우에는 기주에 산란하지만 기주식 물을 제외시킨 경우에는 아크릴 사육상자, 철망보다는 인조잎에 더 많이 산란하였다. 광대노린재 성충의 기주선호성을 조사한 결과 대상식물 18종 중 황벽나무, 산초나무, 산수유, 충층나무 등의 줄기 및 과실을 가장 잘 흡즙하는 것으로 나타났다.

        땅콩 기생선충의 종류(種類) 및 그 방제법(防除法)을 구명(究明)코자 1980년(年)부터 1981년(年)까지 2개년(個年)에 걸쳐 실시(實施)된 결과(結果)를 요약(要約)하면 다음과 같다. 1. 땅콩 기생선충으로는 Aphelenchoides besseyi, Aphelenchus avenae, Criconemoides informis, Helicotylenchus dihystera, Meloidogyne arenaria, Meloidgyne hapla, Psilenchus hilarulus, Pratylenchus minyus, Tylenchus sp. 등(等) 9 종(種)이 동정(同定)되었다. 2. 약제처리(藥劑處理)에 따른 선충의 계절적(季節的) 변화(變化)는 처리(處理) 90일후(日後)에는 밀도(密度)가 낮았다가 170일후(日後)인 수확기(收穫期)에는 다시 증가(增加)되는 경향(傾向)을 나타냈으며 당근뿌리흑선충(Meloidogyne hapla)의 밀도(密度)는 수확기(收穫期)에 있어서도 훈증제(薰蒸劑)인 Telone C-17 처리구(處理區)는 무처리구(無處理區)에 비(比)하여 현저(顯著)히 감소(減少)되었으며 1%의 유의성(有意性)이 인정(認定)되었다. 3 초장(草長), 분기수(分技數), 건물중(建物重)은 Telone C-17 처리구(處理區)가 가장 높았으며 그다음 Mocap 10G, Carbofuran 3 G. 등(等)의 순(順)이었다. 4. 수량(收量)에 있어서는 Telone C-17 처리구(處理區)가 무처리구(無處理區)에 비(比)하여 고령(高靈)에서는 73% 선산(善山)에서는 60%가 증수(增收)되어 가장 효과(效果)가 좋았고 다음이 Mocap 10G. Carbofuran 3G. 등(等)의 순(順)으로 나타났다.

        Background : We are Corporation of Reborn International that studies herbal medicine (Hydroponics Peanut sprout) and natural substance hydroponics. Our work is hydroponically grown peanut sprouts. This introduce, mouse allergic efficacy test and peanut tissue culture were performed. Methods and Results : The peanut sprouts have been widely used for long time of years in many Asian countries. P. sprouts germinated from peanuts, which contain 4 times higher resveratrol compounds than peanuts. The resveratrol have bioactivity effects as anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer. Especially, Our virgin premium peanut sprouts oil (cold pressure; low temperature extraction), natural substance oil produced mainly in peanut sprouts are used for valuable foods and cosmetic that supply essential fatty acids for humans as well as industrial raw functional materials production. In this work, large scale-up production of peanut sprout using hydroponics. Using extracts of peanut sprouts, various efficacy screening, animal test (in vivo, in vitro), and analyzes were also performed. Also, the culturing the peanut callus for increasing the contents of a specific useful ingredient were cultured in modified Murashige-Skoog/MS (sucrose 2%, agar 0.8%, pH 5.7) solid and liquid medium. It was examined that 0, 1, 3, 5, 10 ㎎/ℓ of NAA and 0, 1, 3, 5, 10 ㎎/ℓ of IBA were the callus and shoot induction. It's, developed sample model of food products of various formulations or form of including from peanut sprout extracts. Conclusion : The essential amino acids (composition unsaturated fatty acid) and resveratrol were abound to the extracts. Also, The blood circulation and allergy improvement effect was excellent. And toxicity were not detected in efficacy. Tissue culture screening work, It’s examined that〈 1.0 ㎎/ℓ of NAA and〈 3.0 ㎎/ℓ of IBA were the best composition. However, depending on the purpose of securing the functional material, a more detailed investigation is needed. So, future work is induce roots callus and shoot. The shown results can be applied as sources for functional food, cosmetic, pharmaceuticals, and material.

        The present study set out to investigate the adsorption of Cd(II) ions in an aqueous solution by using Peanut Husk Biochar (PHB). An FT-IR analysis revealed that the PHB contained carboxylic and carbonyl groups, O-H carboxylic acids, and bonded-OH groups, such that it could easily adsorb heavy metals. The adsorption of Cd(II) using PHB proved to be a better fit to the Langmuir isotherm than to the Freundlich isotherm. The maximum Langmuir adsorption capacity was 33.89 mg/g for Cd(II). The negative value of ΔGo confirm that the process whereby Cd(II) is adsorbed onto PHB is feasible and spontaneous in nature. In addition, the value of ΔGo increase with the temperature, suggesting that a lower temperature is more favorable to the adsorption process. The negative value of ΔHo indicates that the adsorption phenomenon is exothermic while the negative value of ΔSo suggests that the process is enthalpy-driven. As an alternative to commercial activated carbon, PHB could be used as a low-cost and environmentally friendly adsorbent for removing Cd(II) from aqueous solutions.

        A new peanut variety ‘Daan’(Arachis hypogaea ssp. hypogaea L.) was developed at the Department of Southern Area Crop Science, National Institute of Crop Science (NICS) in Milyang 2014. This was developed from the cross between ‘Iksan 31’ with Virginia typed short stem and ‘Dakwang’ with Shinpung-typed larger grain. ‘Daan’ which is a Shinpung plant type had 13 branches per plant and its length of main stem was 44cm. Each pod has two grains with brown testa and long ellipse-shaped large kernel. Its yield components showed 34 pods per plant, 127 g of 100-seed-weight and 75% of pod shelling ratio in the regional yield trials (RYT). Seed quality showed 47.8% of crude oil and 28.3% of protein content. This variety showed resistant to early leaf spot and had more resistant to late leaf spot, stem rot and lodging, compared to reference variety. In the regional yield trials for 3 years ‘Daan’ was more productive than reference variety by 16% with 5.00 MT/ha for grain production.

        A new peanut variety ‘Heuksaeng’(Arachis hypogaea ssp. hypogaea L.) was developed at the Department of Southern Area Crop Science, National Institute of Crop Science (NICS) in 2014. This was developed from the cross between ‘Iksan 31’ with Virginia typed short stem and ‘Iksan 35’ with large grain. ‘Heuksaeng’ is the first purple testa variety developed in Korean. It has 25 branches per plant and its length of main stem was 32 cm. Each pod has two grains with puple testa and long ellipse-shaped kernel. Its yield components showed 60 pods per plant, 69 g of 100-seed-weight and 77% of pod shelling ratio in the regional yield trials (RYT). Seed quality showed 46.0% of crude oil and 26.9% of protein content. This variety has anthocyanins typed as delpinidin-3-glucoside (D3G) and cyanidin-3-glucoside (C3G) in seed testa. This variety showed more resistant to late leaf spot, web blotch, and lodging, compared to reference variety. In the regional yield trials for 2 years, ‘Heuksaeng’ with 4.25 MT/ha for grain production has the same productivity to reference variety.

        A new peanut variety ‘Danwon’(Arachis hypogaea ssp. fastigiata L.) was developed at the Department of Southern Area Crop Science, National Institute of Crop Science (NICS) in Milyang 2013. This was developed from the cross between ‘YG75’ with Shinpung type and ‘SP9617’ with larger grain. ‘Danwon’ is the first Shinpung typed short stem variety ever developed in Korea. It has 13 branches per plant and its length of main stem was 32 cm. Each pod has two grains with brown testa and long ellipse-shaped large kernel. Its yield components showed 40 pods per plant, 91 g of 100-seed-weight and 77% of pod shelling ratio in the regional yield trials (RYT). Seed quality showed 48.7% of crude oil and 26.9% of protein content. This variety showed more resistant to early and late leaf spot, web blotch, stem rot and lodging, compared to reference variety. In the regional yield trials for 3 years ‘Danwon’ was more productive than reference variety by 6% with 4.52 MT/ha for grain production.

        A new peanut variety ‘K-Ol’(Arachis hypogaea ssp. fastigiata L.) was developed at the Department of Southern Area Crop Science, National Institute of Crop Science (NICS) in Milyang 2013. This was developed from a cross between ‘Baekseon’ with Shinpung type and ‘F435-5’ with high oleic acid. ‘K-Ol’ is the first high oleate variety in Korean and has short stem and Shinpung plant type. It has 10 branches per plant and its length of main stem was 43 cm. Each pod has two grains with brown testa and short ellipse-shaped kernel. Its yield components showed 46 pods per plant, 74 g of 100-seed-weight and 76% of pod shelling ratio in the regional yield trials (RYT). Seed contains 26.0% protein and 50.7% crude oil with a typical fatty acid composition of 82.9% oleate and 2.7% linoleate. This variety showed more resistant to late leaf spot, web blotch, stem rot and lodging, compared to reference variety ‘Daekwang’. In the regional yield trials for 2 years ‘K-Ol’ showed 4.34 MT/ha for grain yield by 99% of production level of reference variety.

Its yield components showed 45 pods per plant, 84 g of 100-seed-weight and 79% of pod shelling ratio in the regional yield trials (RYT). Seed quality showed 47.3% of crude oil and 27.6% of protein content. This variety showed resistant to early leaf spot and had more resistant to stem rot and lodging, compared to reference variety. In the regional yield trials for 3 years ‘Huaseon’ was more productive than reference variety by 12% with 4.78 MT/ha for grain production.

        Cheonggukjang was prepared by addition of peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) powder in order to improve its quality and functional properties. The physicochemical and sensory properties of Cheonggukjang added peanut powder were investigated, after adding the peanut powder with the amount of 5, 15 and 25% (w/w). The proximate composition of peanut powder was as follows: moisture, 1.80%; crude protein, 24.9%; crude lipid, 48.3%; crude ash, 2.90%; and carbohydrates, 22.1%. Crude protein and lipid content of Cheonggukjang increased with increaes in the amounts of peanut powder, while the moisture content decreased. Calcium and amino acid contents showed disparity depending on the increasing addition of peanut powder. Cheonggukjang containing 15% (w/v) peanut powder was found to be highest calcium contents. The major amino acids of Cheonggukjang were glutamic acid, aspartic acid, lysine, leucine, arginine and proline. Depending on increasing amounts of peanut powder, the L and b values (measured using Hunter’s color values) were decreased, while the a value was increased. In addition, pH was decreased as the amount of peanut powder was increased. Sensory scores of Cheonggukjang containing 15% (w/v) peanut powder were best when considering both quality characteristics and sensory evaluation. This study suggested that peanut powder could enhance the quality and functionality of Cheonggukjang further.

        This study was conducted to develop a fast and efficient screening method to determine the quantity of fatty acid in peanut oil for high oleate breeding program. A total of 329 peanut samples were used in this study, 227 of which were considered in the calibration equation development and 102 were utilized for validation, using near infrared reflectance spectroscopy (NIRS). The NIRS equations for all the seven fatty acids had low standard error of calibration (SEC) values, while high R2 values of 0.983 and 0.991 were obtained for oleic and linoleic acids, respectively in the calibration equation. Furthermore, the predicted means of the two main fatty acids in the calibration equation were very similar to the means based on gas chromatography (GC) analysis, ranging from 36.7 to 77.1% for oleic acid and 7.1 to 42.7% for linoleic acid. Based on the standard error of prediction (SEP), bias values, and R 2 statistics, the NIRS fatty acid equations were accurately predicted the concentrations of oleic and linoleic acids of the validation sample set. These results suggest that NIRS equations of oleic and linoleic acid can be used as a rapid mass screening method for fatty acid content analysis in peanut breeding program.

        A new peanut variety ‘Sinpalkwang’ (Arachis hypogaea ssp. hypogaea L.) was developed at the Department of Southern Area Crop Science, National Institute of Crop Science (NICS) in Milyang 2012. This was developed from the cross between line ‘HP299’, crossed high yielding variety ‘Palkwang’ and short stem cultivar ‘PI156649’, and ‘Palkwang’. ‘Sinpalkwang’ which is a Virginia plant type had 25 branches per plant and its length of main stem was 41 cm. Each pod has two grains with brown testa and long ellipse-shaped large kernel. Its yield components showed 45 pods per plant, 92 g of 100-seed-weight and 79% of pod shelling ratio in the regional yield trials (RYT). Seed quality showed 45.4% of crude oil and 29.2% of protein content. This variety also showed more resistant to web blotch, compared with reference variety. In the regional yield trials for 3 years ‘Sinpalkwang’ was more productive than reference variety by 28% with 5.4 MT/ha for grain production.
