        The structural formation of inorganic nanoparticles dispersed in polymer matrices is a key technology for producing advanced nanocomposites with a unique combination of optical, electrical, and mechanical properties. Barium titanate (BaTiO3) nanoparticles are attractive for increasing the refractive index and dielectric constant of polymer nanocomposites. Current synthesis processes for BaTiO3 nanoparticles require expensive precursors or organic solvents, complicated steps, and long reaction times. In this study, we demonstrate a simple and continuous approach for synthesizing BaTiO3 nanoparticles based on a salt-assisted ultrasonic spray pyrolysis method. This process allows the synthesis of BaTiO3 nanoparticles with diameters of 20-50 nm and a highly crystalline tetragonal structure. The optical properties and photocatalytic activities of the nanoparticles show that they are suitable for use as fillers in various nanocomposites.

        Fluorine-doped tin oxide (FTO) coated NiCrAl alloy foam is fabricated using ultrasonic spray pyrolysis deposition (USPD). To confirm the influence of the FTO layer on the NiCrAl alloy foam, we investigated the structural, chemical, and morphological properties and chemical resistance by using USPD to adjust the FTO coating time (12, 18, and 24 min). As a result, when an FTO layer was coated for 24 min on NiCrAl alloy foam, it was found to have an enhanced chemical resistance compared to those of the other samples. This improvement in the chemical resistance of using USPD NiAlCr alloy foam can be the result of the existence of an FTO layer, which can act as a protection layer between the NiAlCr alloy foam and the electrolyte and also the result of the increased thickness of the FTO layer, which enhances the diffusion length of the metal ion.

        Photoelectron-hole separation efficiency plays an important role in the enhancement of the photocatalytic activity of photocatalysts towards the degradation of organic molecules. In this study, TiO2/TiOF2 heterostructured composite powders with suitable band structures, which structures are able to separate photoelectron-hole pairs, have been synthesized using a simple and versatile ultrasonic spray pyrolysis process. In addition, their phase volume fractions have been controlled by varying the pyrolysis temperature from 400 oC to 800 oC. The structural and optical properties of the synthesized powders have been characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electronic microscopy and UV-vis spectroscopy. The powder with a phase volume ratio close to 1, compared with single TiOF2 and other composite powders with different phase volume fractions, was found to have superior photocatalytic activity for the degradation of rhodamine B. This result shows that the TiO2/TiOF2 heterostructure promotes the separation of the photoinduced electrons and holes and that this powder can be applicable to environmental cleaning applications.

        In order to evaluate a stress state of concrete according to the change of tensile force of prestressed beam, improved nonlinear resonant ultrasonic spectroscopy(NRUS) method is proposed. This technique is advantageous to evaluate the stress state in initial state because the method shows much higher sensitivity than existing linear ultrasonic methods. The NRUS technique measure a nonlinearity parameter, which is calculated from the resonant frequency shift of ultrasonic wave related to the medium state, and the result is also closely related to the stress state of concrete. In this study, the nonlinearity parameter was measured with the change of tensile force to verify the close relationship between the two factors, and the effect of repetitive load cycle on the change of nonlinearity parameter was analyzed. In addition, sensitivity comparison with the linear ultrasonic pulse velocity method was performed. Through the experimental results, the possibility of NRUS technique for the evaluation of stress state in prestressed beam was confirmed.

        Inorganic phosphors based on ZrO2:Eu3+ nanoparticles were synthesized by a salt-assisted ultrasonic spray pyrolysis process that is suitable for industrially-scalable production because of its continuous nature and because it does not require expensive precursors, long reaction time, physical templates or surfactant. This facile process results in the formation of tiny, highly crystalline spherical nanoparticles without hard agglomeration. The powder X-ray diffraction patterns of the ZrO2:Eu3+ (1-20 mol%) confirmed the body centered tetragonal phase. The average particle size, estimated from the Scherrer equation and from TEM images, was found to be approximately 11 nm. Photoluminescence (PL) emission was recorded under 266 nm excitation and shows an intense emission peak at 607 nm, along with other emission peaks at 580, 592 and 632 nm which are indicated in red.

        A nonthermal method of decontamination using electrolyzed water (EW) or/and ultrasonification (US) was used for microbial reduction of black pepper. Aerobic bacteria and yeasts and mold in commercial black pepper powder were found to be 8.29 and 7.72 log(CFU/g), respectively. The optimum EW was produced at flow rates of brine and water of 100 mL/min and 300 mL/min, respectively. Using EW, reducing by 1.36 log of aerobic bacteria and 1.15 log of yeasts and mold were observed. The combination of US with distilled water (DW) treatment reduced aerobic bacteria by 0.74 log and yeasts and mold by 1.03 log. The best decontamination results were obtained with US combined with EW, resulting 1.48 log reduction of aerobic bacteria and 1.70 log reduction of yeasts and mold. The inactivation pattern of microorganism by EW or/and US fitted well to first-order-kinetics model. The black pepper quality in terms of color, piperine contents and sensory properties was not changed by any of tried treatments compare to controls.

        이 연구는 초음파 에너지의 공동현상(Cavitation)을 이용하여 선내 제조된 혼합연료유의 문제점을 개선하고 혼합연료유의 안정적인 사용이 가능하도록 하여 선박운용비의 상당부분을 차지하는 연료비를 절감하고자 한다. 실험은 선내 혼합연료유 제조 방식을 모사하여 선박용 연료유 M.G.O(Marine Gas Oil)와 MF-180(Marine Fuel-oil 180)를 각각 부피비 기준으로 0.25:0.75 및 0.75:0.25 비율로 혼합하였으며 초음파 처리장치를 이용하여 혼합연료유에 초음파 에너지를 직접 조사하여 초음파 에너지가 혼합연료유에 미치는 영향에 관해 고찰하였다. 실험결과, 선내 혼합유 제조시 보고되었던 문제점을 확인하였으며, 혼합시료유의 초음파 조사 후 잔류탄소량은 최대 28.4 % 감소하였다. 또한, 잔류탄소량 감소 및 분산 안정성 분석결과를 토대로 초음파 에너지에 의한 캐비티의 붕괴압이 연료입자 미립화에 효과가 있고, 중질연료유가 많이 함유된 혼합연료유의 일시적인 가용성을 높일 수 있을 것으로 판단되었다.

        목 적: 초음파 세척기의 사용 시간에 따라서 안경렌즈 박막의 변화를 관찰하고자 한다. 방 법: 안경렌즈를 물이 담긴 초음파 세척기 안에 고정시킨 후 0시간, 0.5시간, 1시간, 1.5시간, 2시간을 초음파 세척기를 작동시킨 후 시간에 따라서 안경렌즈 코팅 박막의 변화를 관찰하였다. 안경렌즈 표면은 광 학현미경을 사용하여 관찰하였고, 접안렌즈의 배율은 10배이고 대물렌즈의 배율은 1배에서 4배까지 변하는 줌렌즈를 사용하였다. 안경렌즈의 광 투과율은 광 투과율 측정기를 사용하여 280~780 nm파장에서의 투과율을 측정하였으며, 안경렌즈 표면에서의 접촉각은 디지털 카메라와 스마트 앱을 이용하여 측정하였으며, 안경렌즈의 ITO 박막의 두께 변화는 RF 고주파 송수신 측정 장치를 이용하여 측정하였다. 결 과: 안경렌즈에 초음파 세척기를 30분 한 후에는 안경렌즈 표면이 아무런 변화가 없었고, 초음파 세 척기를 1시간 한 후에는 안경렌즈 표면이 국부적으로 흠집이 나타났으며, 이 후 초음파 세척기를 2시간 할 때까지 흠집이 점점 확대되는 것이 관찰되었다. 평균투과율은 처음 97.85%로 시작하여 초음파 세척기를 2 시간 한 후에는 96.97%로 감소하였다. 접촉각은 초음파 세척기를 30분 한 후 조금 감소된 것을 관찰하였다. ITO 박막의 두께는 초음파 세척기를 안경렌즈에 한 시간에 따라 변화가 없었다. 결 론: 안경렌즈에 초음파 세척기를 1시간 한 후부터는 국부적으로 안경렌즈 박막에 흠집이 생기고 시간 이 지남에 따라 점점 확대되는 것을 알 수 있었고, 안경렌즈 전체적으로는 초음파 세척기 30분 한 후부터 안 경렌즈 발수코팅막에 영향을 주는 것을 알 수 있다.

        One of the important advantages of Thermosonics is that it can be applied to complex structures such as a turbine blade as a convenient and quick screening test method. For a reliable thermosonic test, the vibrational characteristics of the system comprising the tested structure and the clamp at ultrasonic frequency range should be identified. Therefore, this study presented the analysis results of frequency response functions and mode shapes of the turbine blade and clamp system and investigate the possibility of the reliable excitation system for the thermosonic test.

        Using the ultrasonic pyrolysis method, spherical SiO2 powders were synthesized from aqueous SiO2 sol as a starting material. The effects of pyrolysis conditions such as reaction temperature, SiO2 sol concentration, and physical properties of precursor were investigated for the morphologies of the resulting SiO2 powders. The particle size, shape, and crystallite size of the synthesized SiO2 powders were demonstrated according to the pyrolysis conditions. Generally, the synthesized SiO2 particles were amorphous phase and showed spherical morphology with a smooth surface. It was revealed that increased crystallite size and decreased spherical SiO2 particle size were obtained with increases of the pyrolysis reaction temperature. Also, quantity of spherical SiO2 particles decreased with the decrease in the concentration and surface tension of the precursor.

        This study investigated reusability of costly guard column by ultrasonic. It also investigated various effects that affect to guard column generation by ultrasonic. When investigated 30 KHz of frequency, area of ascorbic acid is 73.0% compared to unused guard column. As a result of investigation of effect of pH, guard column by ultrasonic is effective at alkali area. As a result of investigation of solvent effect, when ethanol is used, generation rate is 81.9% as of peak area compared to the case of analysis in un used column. From the result, it indicates that regenerated guard by ultrasonic is reusable.

        TiOF2, which has remarkable electrochemical and optical properties, is used in various applications such as Li-ion batteries, electrochemical displays, and photocatalysts. In addition, it is possible to utilize the template which is allowed to synthesize fluorine doped TiO2 powders with hollow or faceted structures. However, common synthesis methods of TiOF2 powders have some disadvantages such as the use of expensive and harmful precursors and batchtype processes with a limited production scale. In this study, we report a synthetic route for preparing TiOF2 powders by using an inexpensive and harmless precursor and a continuous ultrasonic spray pyrolysis process under a controlled atmosphere to address the aforementioned problems. The synthesized powder has an average size of 1 μm, a spherical shape, a pure TiOF2 phase, and exhibits a band-gap energy of 3.2 eV.

        본 시험은 성 성숙기의 한우 암송아지 18두(14개월령, 평균체중 251kg)를 이용하여 저 수준의 농후사 료 급여에 따른 성장과 번식능력에 미치는 영향을 규명하기 위하여 실시하였다. 공시축은 시판 한우 번 식우용 배합사료를 체중의 0.8%(T1) 및 1.2%(T2)씩 총 30개월(사양시험 20개월, 번식능력시험 10개월) 동안 섭취하였으며, 처리구당 9두를 2우리에 완전임의 배치를 하였다. 본 시험의 사양시험 결과를 한국 가축사양표준의 영양소 요구량과 비교해 볼 때, T1구에서 성장이 제대로 되지 못한 이유는 에너지 보다 는 단백질 섭취부족 때문인 것으로 나타났다. 공시축의 체형변화에서 저 영양수준으로 인하여 영향을 가장 많이 받는 부위는 흉폭과 체장이었으며 특히, 흉폭은 시험시작시보다도 종료시 측정치가 오히려 3.7% 작았다. 난소의 크기는 T1구가 T2구의 약 63%수준밖에 되지 않았으며, 수태율(33.3% : 77.8%)과 송아지의 생시체중(22.5kg : 29.5kg)도 T1구에서 심각하게 저하되었다. 따라서 한우번식우 사양에 있 어서 성성숙기 이후에도 에너지보다는 단백질 공급수준에 의해 사양성적 및 번식능력에 많은 영향을 끼 치는 것으로 나타났다.

        Membrane distillation (MD) is a novel separation process that have drawn attention as an affordable alternative to conventional desalination processes. However, membrane fouling and pore wetting are issues to be addressed prior to widespread application of MD. In this study, the influence of ultrasonic irradiation on fouling and wetting of MD membranes was investigated for better understanding of the MD process. Experiments were carried out using a direct contact membrane distillation apparatus Colloidal silica was used as a model foulants in a synthetic seawater (35,000 mg/L NaCl solution). A vibrator was directed attached to membrane module to generate ultrasonic waves from 25 kHz (the highest energy) to 75 kHz (the lowest energy). Flux and TDS for the distillate water were continuously monitored. Results suggested that ultrasonic irradiation is effective to retard flux decline due to fouling only in the early stage of the MD operation. Moreover, wetting occurred by a long-term application of ultrasonic rradiation at 75 kHz. These results suggest that the conditions for ultrasonic irradiation should be carefully optimized to maximize fouling control and minimize pore wetting.

        Fluorine-doped tin oxide (FTO) nanoparticles have been successfully synthesized using ultrasonic spray pyrolysis. The morphologies, crystal structures, chemical bonding states, and electrochemical properties of the nanoparticles are investigated. The FTO nanoparticles show uniform morphology and size distribution in the range of 6-10 nm. The FTO nanoparticles exhibit excellent electrochemical performance with high discharge specific capacity and good cycling stability (620mA h g−1 capacity retention up to 50 cycles), as well as excellent high-rate performance (250 mA h g−1 at 700mAg−1) compared to that of commercial SnO2. The improved electrochemical performance can be explained by two main effects. First, the excellent cycling stability with high discharge capacity is attributed to the nano-sized FTO particles, which are related to the increased electrochemical active area between the electrode and electrolyte. Second, the superb high-rate performance and the excellent cycling stability are ascribed to the increased electrical conductivity, which results from the introduction of fluorine doping in SnO2. This noble electrode structure can provide powerful potential anode materials for high-performance lithiumion batteries.

        The aim of this study was to compare ultrasonic measured traits (Eye muscle area : EMA, backfat thickness : BF and marbling score : MS) of Hanwoo cows by months of age and periods around 1st calving. The data used in this study were taken 2,636 cows which were measured from 20 months old to 28 months old and within 5 months around 1st calving. According to comparison of cows' month of age, ultrasonic measured EMA, BF and MS were not significantly different between 21 months old and 26 months old, 21 months old and 25 months old and 23 months old and 27 months old, respectively. According to comparison of periods around 1st calving, ultrasonic measured EMA, BF and MS were not significantly different between -45 days and 30 days, -15 days and 75 days, -105 days and 90 days around 1st calving, respectively. The selection of cows could be possible based on the phenotypic ultrasonic measurement performance if the traits are measured between 23-month old and 25-month old and between - 15 days and 30 days around 1st calving.

        Quantitative analysis of termites damage is important in terms of conservation and maintenance of wooden cultural heritage buildings, because termites makes cavities and decreases the section area of wooden structural members. The purpose of this study is to forecast the range and spread of termites damage in the wooden structural members by using ultrasonic pulse velocity method. Ultrasonic pulse velocity has been used as one of non-destructive test to analysis the internal defect by using difference velocity between medium material and cavity. This method would be effective to analysis termites damages. From the result of the ultrasonic velocity test, the loss rate of area effected by termites damage had a strong correlation with ultrasonic velocity. And it is possible to predict the loss rate of area from by termites damage by using regression equation in the case of structural member of fine tree.

        본 연구는 강산성차아염소산수(SAHW)와 초음파(UW)를 병용한 조미오징어 반가공품의 미생물 오염도 저감 기술을 개발하고자 수행되었다. SAHW의 유효염소농도는 69.67 ± 0.58 ppm, ORP는 1071.33 ± 4.16 mV, pH는 2.79 ± 0.05이었다. 오징어 반가공품을 중량대비 20배의 SHS에 120분간 침지하였을 때 일반세균은 1.49 log CFU/g, 황색포도상구균은 1.32 log CFU/g 감소하였으며, 대장균은 검출한계 이하로 감소하였다. 오징어 반가공품 중량대비 10배의 SAHW에 120분간 침지한 경우, 일반세균은 2.69 log CFU/g, 황색포도상구균은 1.74 log CFU/g 감소하였으며, 20배의 SAHW에 120분간 침지한 경우, 일반세균은 3.62 log lCFU/g, 황색포도상구균은 3.22 log CFU/g 감소하였으며, 대장균은 검출되지 않아 SAHW가 같은 유효염소농도의 SHS보다 살균력이 높은 것을 알 수 있었다. SAHW 단독 처리만으로는 만족할 만한 미생물 저감효과를 얻을 수 없었기에 조미오징어 반가공품을 SAEW에 1차 침지 처리한 후, SAHW에 2차 침지 처리한 결과, 오징어 반가공품 중량 대비 20배의 SAEW로 60분 처리한 후, SAHW로 처리하였을 때는 중량대비 10배, 120분 처리, 중량대비 20배, 90분 처리로 일반세균수는 약 4.0 log CFU/g, 황색포도상구균은 규제치(log 2.0 CFU/g 이하) 이하로 감소하였으며 대장균은 검출되지 않았다. 초음파 세정기에 오징어 반가공품과 중량대비 20배의 TW, SHS, SAHW를 각각 넣어 UW 처리한 후 미생물 오염도를 조사한 결과, SAHW로 60분간 처리하였을 때 일반세균은 검출한계(< 1.00 log CFU/g) 이하로 감소하였으며 황색포도상구균은 규제치 이하로 감소하여 가장 좋은 저감효과를 나타내었다. 대장균의 경우, SAHW 10분간 처리로도 검출한계 이하로 감소하여 SAHW와 UW의 병용이 조미오징어 반가공품 미생물 저감화에 가장 효과가 좋은 것을 알 수 있었다.
