        팽이버섯 신품종 ‘여름향2호’는 ‘갈뫼’와 우리원 육성품종 ‘흑향’으로부터 분리한 단포자를 교배함으로써 육성된 품종으로, 갓 색이 흑갈색을 나타내며, 고온성이면서 재배 기간이 짧은 장점이 있다. 16°C 고온에서 병재배 시 배양 기간은 24일, 초발이 소요일수는 8일, 생육일수는 8일로 총재배기간이 40일 소요되어 대조품종 ‘흑향’에 비해 3일 단축되었다. 특히 초발이 소요일수가 2일 단축되면서도 버섯 발생이 균일한 특성을 보였다. 수량은 850 ml(∅59) 병 당 154 g으로 ‘흑향’에 비해 8% 증수되었다. 베타글루칸 함량은 67.89 g/ 100g으로‘흑향’, 시판 중인 황금팽이, 백색 팽이버섯에 비해서 1.1~2.2배 높았다.

        ‘Sootari’, a new variety of oyster mushroom, was bred by mating with monokaryons isolated from ‘Suhan’ and ‘Gonji-7ho’. The optimum temperature for the mycelial growth was 20~25℃ on PDA medium and those for the primordia formation and growth of fruiting body of ‘Sootari’ were 16~18℃ on sawdust substrate. In bottle cultivation, mycelial growth required about 25 days. In addition, primordia formation and growth of fruiting body required 4 days each. Regarding characteristics of the fruiting body, the shape and color of pileus were round type and black, respectively, and stipe color and shape were white and short and thin, respectively. The yield of fruiting bodies was 131.3±26.0 g per 1,100 mL bottle, which was 2% higher than that of Gonji-7ho.

        양송이는 전세계에서 가장 많이 재배되는 버섯이다. 최근 갈색 계통의 소비는 지속적으로 증가하고 있는 추세이다. ‘단석1호’는 다포자임의재배법으로 육성되었으며, 국내 양송이 최초 재배지인 경주지역 단석산을 지명을 유래하여 명명되었다. 균사 생장적온은 20~30°C이며, 버섯 발생온도는 15~20°C이다. 갓 색깔은 중간정도의 갈색이며, 갓의 형태는 구형이다. 갓의 넓이는 45.1 mm, 두께는 23.5 mm이다. 경도는 8,937g/Φ5 mm이고, 갓의 색도는 L 값이 50.4이다. 배양일수는 20일이면 가능하고, 복토 후 버섯의 발생은 18일 정도 소요된다. ‘단석1호’의 대표적인 특징으로는 개별발생비율이 높기 때문에 수확중 버섯 손실이 적은 특성이 있다.

        농가 선호도가 높은 분홍색 비모란 선인장 ‘Yeonbit’는 분홍색 품종 ‘Yeonsi’을 모본으로, 분홍색 ‘Yeonsil’ 품종을 부본으로 하여 2011년에 교배하여 육성된 교배종이다. 종자를 70% C2H5OH와 2% NaOCl로 멸균처리한 후, 100mL 삼각플라스크 0.1% 활성탄이 첨가된 Kyoto 배지에 파종하였다. 발아된 유묘는 기저부를 잘라 기배계대 배양된 어린 삼각주에 접목한 후 동일한 배지가 첨가된 시험관에 치상하였다. 6개월 재배 후 온실로 옮겨서 순화과정을 거쳤으며, 기외에서 매년 접목을 하였으며 총 4번을 접목하여 2013년부터 2015년까지 총 3회에 걸쳐 생육특성을 조사하였다. ‘Yeonbit’ 품종은 편원형 모양과 분홍색 구색을 가지고 있다. 그리고 7~9개, 평균 8.0개의 능(rip), 갈색의 직립형 짧은 가시, 그리고 혹(tubercle)이 돌출된 형태로, 모구가 구성되어 있다. 정식 10개월 후 ‘Yeonbit’ 품종의 구직경은 34.5mm였으며 자구는 모구와 같은 분홍색으로 평균 15.4개가 생성되었다. 2015년 육성계통 평가회에서 ‘Yeonbit’ 품종은 기호도 점수 3.7을 받았다. 2017년 6월 12일에 이 품종은 국립종자원에 등록되었으며 종자산업법에 의해 품종보호(등록번호 6752)를 받게 되었다.

        강원도농업기술원에서는 2003년 무름병에 비교적 강하고 화색과 화형이 우수하고 장미 분홍색을 가진 Zantedeschia rehmanni × hybrid ‘Super Gem’과 연한 노랑색 품종 Z. × hybrid ‘Black Magic’을 각각 모본과 부본으로 하여 인공 교배 하였다. 2006년에 개화특성을 검정하여 화색과 화형이 좋은 ‘GZ0616’를 선발하였으며, 2007년에 포장 재배하여 자구 증식률, 초장과 초세 등 1차 특성검정 후 2차 선발하였다. 2013부터 2015년까지 특성검정과 재배시험을 통하여 균일성과 안정성이 인정되어 ‘강교C4-6호’로 최종 선발되었으며, 2017년 2월에 ‘립스마일(Lip Smile)’로 품종등록 되었다. 화포 외부의 주 색은 연노랑바탕 적자색(Y2C+RP79C)이며, 화포 높이는 8.5cm, 폭은 6.2cm로 대형화이다. 개화소요일수는 64.3일, 초장은 66.0cm, 괴경은 80.0g이다. 기호도 평가에서도 ‘Captain Rosette’와 유사하였으며, 절화용으로 이용 가능하다.

        1. 본 연구는 고구마의 큐어링 처리 및 저장기간에 따른 품종별 저장성 차이를 조사하여 품종별 적정 저장 조건을 설정하고자 수행하였다. 수확된 고구마는 온도 32±1℃, 상대습도 92±3% 조건에서 3일간 큐어링 처리를 실시하였고 대조구와 함께 13±℃의 저장고에 30주간 저장하였다. 2. 저장 기간에 따른 부패율 및 감모율은 품종별로 큐어링 처리 여부에 따라 다른 양상을 보였으며 대부분 품종에서 큐어링 처리구의 부패율과 감모율이 낮게 나타났다. 품종별로는 ‘호감미’, ‘풍원미’, ‘신건미’, ‘주황미’가 장기저장을 위해서 큐어링 처리가 필요한 품종으로 나타났으며, ‘다호미’, ‘연자미’ 품종은 큐어링 처리 여부에 따른 유의한 차이가 없었다. 3. 큐어링 처리 여부에 따른 부패율 차이가 없었던 ‘다호미’, ‘연자미’를 제외한 나머지 품종은 감모율 조사에서도 큐어링 처리가 장기 저장에 더 유리한 것으로 조사되었다. 4. ‘호감미’ 품종의 경우 저장기간별 부패율 및 감모율을 예측하고 조수입을 계산하였을 때 큐어링 처리 시에는 조수입이 증가하였으나 큐어링 무처리 시에는 저장기간이 길어질수록 조수입이 감소하였다. 5. 따라서 이러한 품종별 저장성 차이를 고려하여 각 품종에 맞는 수확 후 관리 및 적정 출하시기를 예측하는 것이 고구마 저장성 증대 및 농가 소득 향상에 유용하게 적용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

        This experiment was conducted at Suwon, Korea from 2013 to 2015. The objective of this study was to establish the optimum seeding rate, and to clarify the nitrogen fertilizer level for rye seed production in central and north area of Korea. We used Korean rye cultivar ‘Gogu’ for this test. We employed a split-plot design with three replications. The main plots were designed by three seeding levels (3, 5 and 7 kg 10a-1), but other sub-plots were randomly seeded. The plots were treated with three different nitrogen fertilizer levels (3, 6 and 9 kg 10a-1). The percentage of productive tiller, number of grain per spike, fertility rate, 1 liter weight, and 1000-grain weight decreased as seeding rate increased from 3 kg 10a-1 to 7 kg 10a-1, whereas the number of spike per ㎡ increased. Therefore the grain yields of rye had less of an effect by increasing seeding rate. There was an increase in number of spike per ㎡, number of grain per spike, and fertility rate as nitrogen fertilizer level increased from 3 kg 10a-1 to 9 kg 10a-1, but grain yields significantly not affected by the interaction of seeding rate × nitrogen fertilizer levels. However, the best seeding rate and nitrogen fertilizer level for rye seed production were 5 kg and 5∼6 kg 10a-1, respectively, considering seed and fertilizer reduction and the prevention of pollution by excess fertilization.

        Since Japonica rice is recognized as the premium rice in some subtropical region such as Philippines, the development of new cultivar adaptable in subtropical region has been conducting. However typical Japonica rice show earlier flowering in subtropical region due to the short day length and high temperature conditions. In such a condition, it is difficult to secure enough yields. Therefore it is need that selection of Japonica cultivar showing suitable heading characters in subtropical region. Here we try to check the basic vegetative phase and heading sensitivity on temperature condition using 37 kinds of Korean cultivars. BVP is between 14 to 39 days and 37% of cultivar had basic vegetative phase between 26 to 30 days. When temperature became lower on sensitive and reproductive stage, heading was more delayed. However the 24oC condition showed the greatest impact on heading delay among temperature condition. Among cultivars, 56% of cultivars have basic vegetative phase over 25days.We checked temperature effect on heading especially sensitivity stage in those materials. Joun, Manho, Joan and Cheonga showed stable heading date under different temperature conditions. With this data, we suggest that Joun, Manho, Joan and Cheonga could be a good cultivar in subtropical region in heading characters.

        농촌진흥청 국립원예특작과학원에서는 2013년 오리엔탈-트 럼펫(OT) 종간잡종나리 ‘Milky Way’를 개발하였다. 2005년 노 란색 OT 종간잡종나리 ‘Avocado’와 백색의 오리엔탈나리 ‘Cordoba’를 각각 모본과 부본으로 화주 절단 수분법과 주두교 배법으로 14화를 인공교배하였고, 교배 후 미숙한 8개의 꼬투리 를 수확하여 배가 형성된 배주를 기내에서 배양하여 잡종을 획 득한 후 재배하였다. 육묘한 배양묘로부터 2008년 상향개화형 이며 아이보리색의 OT 종간잡종 나리 ‘OTO-08-1’ 계통을 개체 선발하였다. 2009년부터 2012년까지 선발된 계통은 자구와 인 편번식, 조직배양을 이용하여 번식 및 양구한 후 1, 2차 생육특 성검정을 실시하였다. 2013년 3차 생육특성검정 및 소비자 기 호도 평가를 수행한 결과 화색 및 화형에 대한 기호도가 높은 아이보리색(RHS, W155A)의 절화용 OT 종간잡종 나리 ‘Milky Way’를 육성하였다. 3배체의 OT 종간잡종 나리로 초장은 122.7cm로 초장신장성이 우수하였다. ‘Milky Way’의 화폭은 19.0cm이며 대조품종 ‘Yelloween’의 14.3cm에 비하여 통계적 으로 유의하게 크다. 또한 꽃잎과 잎의 폭과 길이가 대조품종에 비하여 길게 나타났다. 개화구의 구근이 22.0cm로 대구성의 특 성을 보인다. 구근의 인편번식 처리 후 인편 생성 능력을 살펴보 면 ‘Milky Way’의 경우 11.0개로 대조품종 14.0개에 비하여 낮 았으나 생성된 자구의 총 무게는 차이가 없어 자구의 개수는 작으나 개별 인편자구의 크기가 큰 것으로 판단된다.

        Oyster mushroom is a type of mushroom that is commonly cultivated and consumed in Korea. P. ostreatus ‘Suhan’ is a preferred cultivar for many mushroom farmers because it has a dark pileus and thick stipe. However, as it is very sensitive to environmental conditions, farmers consistently demand an alternative cultivar. To develop a new cultivar, the parental strains KMCC01680 (‘Suhan’) and KMCC00478 (‘Gosol’) were selected from various collected P. ostreatus strains by cultivating genetic resources. P. ostreatus ‘Heuksol’ was developed by the method of Mon-Mon crossing between monokaryotic strains derived from ‘Suhan’ and ‘Gosol’. Thirty strains of 174 crossed strains were initially selected by cultivation experiments. After bulk cultivation tests, ‘Heuksol’ was selected. The nuclear DNA profile of ‘Heuksol’ was similar to those of the parental strains, ‘Suhan’ and ‘Gosol’, when RAPD (random amplified polymorphic DNA) primers and UPF (Universal PCR Fingerprinting) 2, 3, and 4 were used. The optimum temperature for mycelial growth was 30oC for ‘Heuksol’, but medium-high temperatures were also appropriate, especially 13–20oC. The fruiting body production per bottle (1,100 mL) was approximately 140.8 g. When compared to the control strain ‘Suhan’, the thickness of the stipe of ‘Heuksol’ was greater than that of ‘Suhan’ (13.5 mm vs 9.4 mm). The pileus diameter of ‘Heuksol’ was similar to that of ‘Suhan’ and the pileus thickness of ‘Heuksol’ and ‘Suhan’ was 19.7 mm and 21.8 mm, respectively. ‘Heuksol’ had more a productive stipe number than ‘Suhan’ and the pileus of ‘Heuksol’ was dark gray, even at high temperatures. Therefore, it was suggested that this new cultivar, ‘Heuksol’, could provide an alternative to ‘Suhan’ and contribute to the profit of oyster mushroom farms.

        During the harvest season, drying and storage facilities at Rice Processing Complexes (RPCs) are not enough to manage all the harvested rice, which causes quality deterioration and decomposition. Also, rice export is being limited due to the high cost of long-term storage for shipping. This study was conducted to investigate the germination rate, fat acidity and lipoxygenase activity of brown rice after storage of 3, 6, 9 and 12 months at 25oC and 35oC with 22 Korean and 2 Japanese varieties. Germination rate of rough rice was decreased to 72% after storage of 9 months at 25°C and decreased to 35 and 33% after 3 and 6 months at 25°C, respectively. Fat acidity was increased according to storage periods and increasing level was higher at 35°C than at 25°C. Lipoxygenase activity was decreased according to storage periods and decreasing level was higher at 35°C than at 25°C. Although the protein content was not significantly different according to the storage period at both 25 and 35°C, significant difference existed among cultivars. Amylose content was increased until 6 months at both 25 and 35°C, but decreased after 9 months. Fat acidity and protein content were negatively correlated with amylose content, while amylose content was positively correlated with lipoxygenase activity after 12 months at 25°C. Germination rate was negatively correlated with fat acidity and protein content, while fat acidity was positively correlated with protein content and negatively correlated with amylose content and lipoxygenase activity after 6 months at 35°C. 24 varieties were classified into 3 groups on the basis of germination rate, fat acidity and lipoxygenase activity after 12 months at 25°C and 6 months at 35°C. Group I including 8 varieties of Koshihikari showed higher germination rate, lower fat acidity than Group II including 11 varieties of Nampyeongbyeo.. Honong and Jinbaek. Hopyeongbyeo and Hopum showed higher germination rate, lower fat acidity at 35°C than 25°C, while Hwanggeumnuri showed higher germination rate, lower fat acidity at 25°C than 35°C.

        This study was conducted to find out the effects of over seeding using new grass varieties orchardgrass ‘Kordione’ and ‘Onnuri’, and tall fescue ‘Greenmaster’ on botanical composition and dry matter productivity from 2013 to 2016 in low productivity hilly pasture, middle area of Korea. There were used 3 grass seed mixture types made of different compositions and amounts {T1: control - no over seeding, T2: tall fescue (TF) ‘Greenmaster’ 18 kg ha-1, orchardgrass (OG) ‘Kordione’ 9 kg ha-1, Perennial ryegrass (PRG) ‘Linn’ 5 kg ha-1, and Kentucky bluegrass (KBG) ‘Kenblue’ 2 kg ha-1, T3: TF ‘Greenmaster’ 9 kg ha-1, OG ‘Kordione’ 18 kg ha-1, PRG ‘Linn’ 5 kg ha-1, and KBG ‘ Kenblue’ 2 kg ha-1, T4: TF ‘Greenmaster’ 9 kg ha-1, OG ‘Onnuri’ 18 kg ha-1, PRG ‘Linn’ 5 kg ha-1, and KBG ‘Kenblue’ 2 kg ha-1}. In the botanical composition of grassland, T1 nearly remained constant in other seasons while ratio of weeds were increased in summer season. T2 was better than control (T1) in portion of grass ratio, which has increased by 80%. In the early time of establishment, the portions of OG were increased in T2, but TF rate was increased after 3 years later when grass was established. T3 and T4 showed a very similar patterns, grass ratio had increased by 80% and the portion of KBG had increased as time passed. T2 (129,763 kg ha-1) was showed the highest dry matter yield than other treatments (T1: 6,756 kg ha-1, T3: 9641, and T4: 10,738) in 2016.

        In Korea, oyster mushroom is one of the commonly cultivated mushrooms. In 2013, the cultivation areas and products of oyster mushrooms were 60,039 M/T and 201 ha, respectively. Many species of oyster mushrooms are cultivated in various countries. These include Pleurotus ostreatus, P. florida, P. sajor-caju, P. eryngii, P. citrinopileatus, P. salmoneostramineus and P. cystidiosus. P. citrinopileatus is a yellow oyster mushroom famous for its health benefits such as anti-cancer and anti-oxidant effects. Therefore, a cultivar P. citrinopileatus ‘Jangdari’ was developed to improve yield and the ability to grow well at lower temperatures. Two parent strains ‘Gumbit (KMCC02150)’ and ‘KMCC02145’ were selected based on their morphological characteristics. ‘Jangdari’ was developed by the method of Mon-Mon crossing between monokaryons derived from ‘Gumbit’ and ‘KMCC02145’, and finally selected through continuous cultivation tests. The optimum temperature for mycelial growth was 30oC. The cultivar could grow well at high temperatures, especially 16~24oC. Fruiting body production per bottle (850 mL) was about 90.0 g. Stipe length and thickness of ‘Jangdari’ were similar to those of ‘Gumbit’. ‘Jangdari’ was more resistant to low temperature than ‘Gumbit’, and thus it could be cultivated with oyster mushrooms (P. ostreatus). In addition, while cultivating ‘Jangdari’, it is not required to scrape out the upper side of bottle’s sawdust medium; hence, its cultivation is expected to save energy and time.
