        본 연구에서는 baird paker agar (BPA)와 MC-media pad SA (MMPSA)의 황색포도상구균 검출효율과 정성 및 정 량 정확도를 비교하여 황색포도상구균 건조필름의 사용가 능성을 평가하였다. 본 실험에 사용된 재료는 마카롱(30건), 편육(30건) 및 김밥(30건), 총 90건을 실험 재료로 사용하 였다. 유통식품 90건의 황색포도상구균 검출효율 실험결과, BPA와 MMPSA의 검출효율은 48건(53.3%)으로 동일 하게 검출되었다. 또한 정량 정확도는 BPA와 MMPSA에 서 각각 2.0±0.8, 2.0±0.7 log CFU/g로 유의적인 차이가 나 타나지 않았다. 황색포도상구균의 정성 정확도 실험결과, BPA의 경우 97.7%, MMPSA의 경우 96.4%로 산출되어 유 의적인 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 황색포도상구균의 검출효 율, 정성과 정량 정확도 실험결과, BPA와 MMPSA 두 배지 에서 유의적인 차이가 나타나지 않아 황색포도상구균 정성 과 정량실험 시 MMPSA도 사용이 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

        This study was conducted to investigate the quality characteristics of rose pasta sauce added with plant-based meat substitutes and plant-based ingredients. The rose pasta sauces were prepared by varying the proportions of tomato sauce and soy milk-based mayonnaise. As the proportion of soy milk mayonnaise increased and the proportion of tomato sauce decreased, the pH increased and the total acidity decreased. The total polyphenol content of rose pasta sauce ranged from 122.59 to 168.09 mg/100 mL, with higher values found in pasta sauces containing soy milk mayonnaise, particularly in the B treatment (70% tomato sauce, 30% soy milk mayonnaise) and tannin content was also highest in the B treatment (117.61 mg%). ABTS radical scavenging activity ranged from 34.90% to 40.62%, with significantly higher values observed in A, B, and C. DPPH radical scavenging activity ranged from 63.42% to 84.46%, with the highest activity found in the A treatment, followed by the B treatment. These results suggest that the development of rose pasta sauces with plant-based ingredients and meat substitutes can offer diverse applications and potential in the food industry.

        To utilize textured vegetable protein (TVP) instead of meat in kimchi stew, TVP of different sizes were added to kimchi stew under different cooking conditions. Canned Kimchi stew was prepared by adding processed TVP. Physicochemical quality characteristics and antioxidant activities of the broth, kimchi, and meat (or TVP) were measured. The pH and salinity did not show a significant difference between treatment groups in the broth or kimchi. However, the TVP treatment group showed higher pH and lower salinity than the control group. There was no significant difference in color between control group and TVP-treated groups. In terms of texture, the control group had the lowest hardness, gumminess, and chewiness, followed by TVP-1 and TVP-2 manufactured after pre-cooking, which showed lower hardness, gumminess, and chewiness. The smaller the size of the TVP, the lower the hardness, gumminess, and chewiness. Results of shear force were consistent with those of hardness. Contents of flavonoid and polyphenol compounds as antioxidant components did not increase or decrease with the addition of TVP. There were no significant differences in antioxidant activities among experimental groups.

        본 연구는 양육자가 경험하고 지각한 원가족기능이 양육스트레스에 미치는 영 향에서 Cloninger 자아탄력성 요인(자율성, 위험회피, 인내력)의 역할을 실증적 으로 검증하고자 하였다. 구체적으로는 원가족기능과 양육스트레스의 관계에서 자율성의 매개효과를 알아보고 자율성과 양육스트레스 사이에서 위험회피와 인 내력의 이중 조절효과를 분석하였다. 이를 위해 만 1세에서 만 12세 자녀를 둔 양육자 227명을 대상으로 원가족기능척도, 양육스트레스척도, TCI-RS척도를 실 시하였다. 수집된 데이터를 바탕으로 Process Macro 16번을 통해 분석한 결과 원가족기능이 자율성을 매개로 양육스트레스에 미치는 영향이 위험회피와 인내 력에 따라 조절되는 이중 조절된 매개모형이 검증되었다. 구체적으로 위험회피와 인내력이 함께 상승할수록 양육스트레스를 감소시키는 자율성의 영향력이 약해 지는 정도가 커지는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 위험회피와 인내력의 영향력은 자 율성의 수준에 따라 다르게 나타났으며, 자율성이 낮아질수록 위험회피와 인내력 의 상승에 영향을 많이 받으며 양육스트레스가 급격하게 높아졌다. 이를 통해 본 연구에서 나타난 연구의 함의, 한계, 후속 연구를 위한 제언을 논의하였다.

        The purpose of this study was to verify the radon reduction effectiveness of some radon barrier paints using the laboratory test on radon exhalation rate. The radon exhalation characteristics and radon exhalation rate of three radon barrier paints for concrete and three radon barrier paints for stone finishes were evaluated before and after application. Then the radon reduction rate was calculated to confirm the reduction effects. The results showed that the radon reduction rate of radon barrier paint was less than 10%, which is not effective in reducing radon. These findings suggest that a reliable radon reduction evaluation method is needed to utilize radon barrier paints as an indoor radon control measures.

        Following the implementation of the Act on the Prevention of Light Pollution Due to Artificial Lighting in 2013, local governments designated lighting environment management zones and conducted assessments of the impacts of light pollution on the environment to ensure compliance with acceptable light emission standards. In addition, according to the Act on the Prevention of Light Pollution Due to Artificial Lighting, local governments conduct and manage light pollution assessments every three years. However, measuring and analyzing during nighttime requires a significant amount of time and labor. Therefore, this research aims to improve the current light pollution environmental impact assessment method by utilizing aerial information from satellite data and establishing a database of light pollution assessment methods, thereby laying the foundation for light pollution management. In this study, a reference light source was installed on the ground, and the luminance measurements of the installed reference light source and the advertising light sources on-site were analyzed to derive brightness values for ground light sources using the optical band (R, G, B) values from aerial information derived from satellite images. The analysis produced predictive equations for light pollution from upward lighting and general advertising lighting. When these equations were applied to residential and commercial areas in the lighting environment management area, the results indicated that the predicted rooftop upward lighting prediction brightness exceeded the acceptable standard of light emission of 800 cd/m2 in residential areas, and the advertisement lighting prediction brightness exceeded the standard of 1,000 cd/m2 in commercial areas.

        수전해는 물을 전기분해하여 수소를 생산하는 방법으로, 재생에너지와 연계할 경우 이산화탄소 배출이 없는 청정 수소생산이 가능하다. 수전해 기술 중, 알칼라인 수전해와 음이온교환막 수전해는 알칼라인 환경에서 구동되어 저렴한 비귀 금속 전극 사용이 가능하여, 재생에너지를 연계한 대용량 수소생산에 적합한 기술로 평가받는다. 수전해 시스템에서 분리막 은 안정성과 효율성을 담당하는 핵심부품으로, 안정적이고 효율적인 수소생산을 위하여 높은 기체차단성과 높은 이온전달능 을 필요로 한다. 수전해에 사용되는 분리막은 구조 및 특성에 따라 다공막, 이온솔베이팅 분리막, 박막 복합 분리막, 음이온교 환막으로 분류되고, 각각의 분리막은 구조 및 특성이 상이하여 각각의 특성을 보완하는 방향으로 연구가 진행되고 있다. 본 총설에서는 알칼라인 수전해 및 음이온교환막 수전해에 사용되는 분리막들의 구조 및 특성과 연구 현황에 대해 소개하고자 한다.

        Indoor air quality is a critical factor affecting health and quality of life, especially in spaces frequently used by sensitive populations such as adolescents. This study assessed the impact of garden ball installations and electrochemical fertilizer applications on indoor air quality in two youth centers, Center S and Center W, located in Bucheon, South Korea. PM2.5, PM10, and CO2 concentrations were monitored and analyzed based on the presence of garden balls and the use of electrochemical fertilizers. The results showed that spaces with garden balls (w/ G.B.) had significantly lower PM2.5 and PM10 concentrations compared to offices and spaces without garden balls (w/o G.B.). In Center W, the presence of garden balls alone improved air quality, highlighting the potential of vertical greening as a sustainable solution. In Center S, the application of electrochemical fertilizers during the “after + period” (when both garden balls and electrochemical fertilizers were applied) further enhanced particulate matter reduction, demonstrating the fertilizers’ ability to amplify plants’ air-purifying effects. This study provides empirical evidence that garden balls are an eco-friendly option for indoor air quality management. Combining electrochemical fertilizers with garden balls shows promise for enhancing air quality, offering a practical model for multi-use facilities such as youth centers.

        Chironomid larvae in drinking water treatment plants (DWTPs) and tap water lead to highlights the urgent need for effective control measures. The use of combined disinfectant treatments is becoming increasingly common to achieve optimal disinfection efficiency while minimizing residual contamination. This study was conducted to study the effect of combined treatment of disinfectants used in DWTPs on the biological control potential of chironomid larvae. In the experiment, Glytotendipes tokunagai larvae reared according to OECD guidelines were exposed to NaOCl, UV, and O3 complex substances, and biological responses were analyzed using survival rate and body color change as key indicators for 24 hours. The survival rate of larvae exposed to combined disinfectants mostly decreased in a time- and concentration-dependent manner, and lightening of body color was observed. The most significant decrease (53%) of the survival rate was observed to a combination of UV and 4 ppm NaOCl disinfectants and body color change also showed a statistically significant difference compared to the control group (P<0.001). The change in body color is suggested to be a physiological change caused by oxidation of hemoglobin due to exposure to disinfectant complexes. The results of this study contribute to determining the biological impact of combined disinfectant treatment on chironomid larvae of DWTPs, and can be used as data to suggest the biological control potential of disinfectants. In addition, it will provide important information for setting standards for combined disinfectant treatment to improve water quality in the future.

        This study aims to propose new grading standards that can be applied to AI-based automatic sorting machines, reflecting current distribution and consumption trends. The current domestic grading standards for onions in South Korea are based on the “Agricultural and Fishery Products Quality Control Act”. They classify onions based on criteria such as uniformity, shape, color, and the presence of foreign matter. Onion grading standards are divided into four categories based on bulb diameter and weight. However, in the actual domestic market, onions are distributed according to a five-grade classification based on bulb diameter. Therefore, this study classified onions into eight grades, reflecting current distribution and consumption trends in the domestic market. These grades are applicable to AI-based automatic sorting machines. Marketable onions were classified into A1 (extra large) to A5 (extra small) based on the diameter of a single bulb. Onions used for non-marketable purposes (processing) were classified as grade B. Additionally, grade C and grade D were designated for processing and disposal, respectively. By establishing quality grading classifications that align with current distribution and consumption market trends as well as the operational characteristics of AI-based automatic sorting machines, we can expect improvements in work efficiency and reductions in distribution costs. Following this study, it will be necessary to establish comprehensive quality grading standards that include both external criteria (such as bulb weight and size) and internal criteria (such as detection of internal decay and disease occurrence).

        This study was conducted to analyze New Zealand’s beekeeping industry and Manuka honey grading system to suggest characteristics and development plans for Korea’s honey grading system. Manuka honey in New Zealand is harvested from the Manuka tree (Leptospermum scoparium). It is known for its various bioactive properties, including antimicrobial activity and antioxidants. Since 2017, the New Zealand government has been implementing national certification and grading for all exported Manuka honey. For this purpose, compositions of Manuka honey across New Zealand have been investigated and four chemical indicators and one biological indicator have been established. Currently, Korea has been fully implementing a honey grading system since September 2023, which divides honey (acacia honey, chestnut honey, and miscellaneous honey) into 1+ grade, 1 grade, and 2 grade according to Enforcement Rules of the Livestock Act. The following seven indicators are used: carbon isotope consumption, moisture content, sugar ratio, hydroxytmethylfurfural, flavor, chromaticity, and defects, similar to Codex standards or European standards. However, details are modified to suit Korean conditions. To make the Korean honey grading system more stable, it is necessary to develop and introduce different indicators for honey functionality and honey grading system maturity. In addition, it is necessary to expand the participation of farmers in the honey grading system, secure consumer trust in the honey grading system, and continue to promote it.

        벼의 주요 해충인 먹노린재의 실내 사육을 위해 발육 특성을 조사하였다. 먼저 알을 부화시키기 위해서는 수분 제공이 반드시 필요하였다. 부 화한 1령 약충은 수분 제공만으로 2령 약충으로 발육이 가능하였다. 그러나 2령 약충은 수분 제공만으로는 3령 약충으로 발육하지 못하고 모두 사망 하였다. 먹노린재 약충 1령기부터 볏과 8종의 식물을 제공했을 때 출수기의 벼에서 약충부터 성충으로 도달한 개체의 생존율은 90.0%로 가장 높았 으며, 수수와 밀은 각각 30.0%, 26.7%였으며, 보리는 6.7%, 조와 피는 3.3%로 낮았다. 유묘기의 옥수수에서는 3령이 되기 전에 모두 사망하였고, 출수기의 기장에서는 성충이 되기 전에 모두 사망하였다. 유묘기의 벼에서는 성충에 도달한 개체의 생존율이 25%로 출수기의 벼보다 낮았다. 그러 나, 유묘기의 벼에서 자란 1~2령 약충은 출수기 벼와 다른 볏과 식물보다 체중이 가장 무거웠다. 출수기의 벼에서는 4령과 5령 약충의 발육기간이 각각 평균 8.5일과 12.1일로 가장 짧았다. 출수기 벼에서 자란 먹노린재의 성충 몸무게는 50.91 mg으로 유묘기의 벼와 출수기의 수수와 밀에서 자 란 먹노린재의 성충 몸무게보다 무거웠다. 이러한 결과를 종합하면 먹노린재 약충의 발육과 생존에 가장 적합한 기주식물로 출수기의 벼가 제안되 었다.

        This study aimed to estimate the rumen fermentation characteristics and greenhouse gas emissions of major domestic feed sources for Hanwoo. Five feed sources mainly used in South Korea were selected: corn meal (CM), soybean meal (SM), wheat flour (WF), palm kernel cake (PKC), and corn distiller’s dried grains with soluble (DDGS). These feed sources were purchased from a commercial feed company. For 24 h rumen incubation, each feed source (0.3 g) was placed into the incubation bottle with the rumen mixture (30 mL) in quadruplicates. After incubation, total gas production was measured and sub-sampled for CO2 and CH4 analyses, and the bottle content was centrifuged for rumen fermentation characteristics and in vitro dry matter digestibility (IVDMD). Crude protein content was highest in SM and lowest in CM. Ether extract content was highest in DDGS and lowest in SM, while neutral detergent fiber and acid detergent fiber contents were highest in PKC and lowest in CM. Propionate content was highest in DDGS, and butyrate and A:P ratio contents were highest in PKC (p<0.05). Total gas emission (mL/g DMD) was lowest in SM and DDGS, while CH4 emission (mL/g DMD) was lowest in DDGS (p<0.05). Therefore, this study concluded that DDGS could be an alternative feed source to reduce methane emissions.

        본 연구의 목적은 황제내경에서 천인합일과 형신일체의 이론 적 배경을 통하여 현대인들에게 적합한 질병의 치유, 질병 예방차 원의 건강관리와 증진에 도움이 되는 몸과 마음의 헬스케어 방안 을 제시하는데 있다. 이를 위해 먼저 천인합일의 생명관점에서 자 연과의 어울림의 이치를 살펴보고, 형신일체의 의학관점에서 정신 의 중요성을 고찰하고자 한다. 이를 바탕으로 몸과 마음의 헬스케 어를 바라보는 핵심내용은 의가(醫家)에서는 심주신명(心主神明)이 며, 도가(道家)에서는 정기신(精氣神)과 삼단전(三丹田)의 친화성 관계로 분석되었다. 이를 통하여 몸의 기에너지 순환 방법에는 호 흡마사지, 마음 다스림의 방법에는 호흡명상이 건강증진과 질병치 유에 도움이 되리라 사료 되며, 몸과 마음의 조화로움을 중시한 헬스케어 방향을 이끌어 가는데 깊은 의미가 있다고 여겨진다. 앞 으로 오장의 자율신경을 검증지표로 하는 호흡마사지의 효능과 뇌의 가소성을 기반으로 하는 호흡명상의 효능을 객관적으로 과 학화하는 후속 연구가 필요하다.

        The Ansan Reclaimed Wetland, reclaimed in 1986 and maintained for 38 years, underwent two wetland function assessments to develop strategies for enhancing biodiversity and conservation. The biota of the reclaimed wetland showed an increase in the number of species observed across most taxa, while the number of amphibian and reptile species decreased. Among legally protected species and specific species, Aix galericulata and Lefua costata were not observed, whereas Libellula angelina were introduced. The results were categorized into “protection or improvement” and “enhancement.” Proposed conservation measures include removing planted shrubs, maintaining waterways, and installing gabion structures and wildlife corridors.

        Time-series and spatial analysis of collected odor complaints in Seoul megacity during 2014~2021 were conducted for the characterization of odor complaints emitted from the living environment. The ratio of odor complaints in the environmental complaints was 16.7%, and odor complaints increased 3.3 times from 9,053 cases in 2014 to a maximum of 29,425 cases in 2019. In the time-based evaluation (monthly, daily (day of the week), and hourly variations), the highest number of complaints occurred in June, Monday, and 9:00 AM, respectively. While the lowest number of complaints occurred in December, Sunday, and 3:00 AM, respectively. Among 25 provinces in Seoul megacity, the odor complaints that occurred from 2014 to 2021 were concentrated in Eunpyeonggu. The odor complaints of Seodaemun-gu and Nowon-gu occurred at the highest levels in January-February and June, respectively. Based on the characteristics of odor complaint occurrence according to the above time-series and spatial analyses, more effective odor management and control can be implemented by focusing on those hotspot areas and specific time periods.

        The winter forage triticale (x Triticosecale Wittmack) cultivar ‘Onggoljin’ was developed in 2018 by Central Area Crop Breeding Division, the National Institute of Crop Science, Rural Development Administration, as a winter forage. ‘Onggoljin’ has green leaves with medium length and narrower blade width compared to ‘Joseong’. ‘Onggoljin’ has shorter length spikes, a slightly longer awn than ‘Joseong’, and it’s anther without anthocyanin color. The seeds of ‘Onggoljin’ was shorter in both length and thickness than those of ‘Joseong’, with a yellowish-brown grain coat color. The heading date of ‘Onggoljin’ was at April 23 nationwide on average, two days later than ‘Joseong’. It exhibits stronger winter hardness, and simmilar lodging and desease resistance compared to ‘Joseong’. The plant height of ‘Onggoljin’ was longer than that of ‘Joseong’, and its fresh matter yield and dry matter yield were 46.31 tons/ha and 15.75 tons/ha, respectively, representing 18% and 17% higher than ‘Joseong’. The forage quality characteristics of ‘Onggoljin’ at late milky stage were crude protein content of 6.2%, neutral detergent fiber content of 59.5%, acid detergent fiber content of 34.4%, and total digestible nutrients content of 61.8%, and the silage quality was grade 2. The grain yield of ‘Onggoljin’ was 6.57 tons per ha.

        Alfalfa hay varieties have been developed and cultivated in Korea to enhance the self-sufficiency rate of domestic roughage. The objective of this study was to compare the effects of feeding domestic and imported alfalfa on the growth performance and economic feasibility of Hanwoo bulls. This study was conducted using eight Hanwoo bulls, aged 6 to 7 months, during their growing period. Hanwoo bulls were divided into two groups: one group fed imported alfalfa and the other group fed domestic alfalfa. Dry matter intake, weight gain, and blood metabolites were analyzed for two months of the growing stage. There was no significant difference between the two groups in dry matter intake and body weight. However, the price of domestic alfalfa is lower than that of imported alfalfa, so feeding domestic alfalfa is expected to have a positive effect on reducing production costs. Further study is needed to compare not only the growth performance but also carcass characteristics after slaughter by feeding domestic alfalfa to Hanwoo for a longer period during their growing stage.
