Galactosemia is a rare genetic metabolic disease caused by galactose and its metabolites generated during carbohydrate metabolism, which is relatively rare in Asian countries, including Korea. Patients with galactosemia should be treated with a galactose-restricted diet. However, information is lacking about the exact content of galactose in food, and dietary guidelines for patients with galactosemia in Korea. This study aims to recognize the difficulties faced by parents and clinical experts of patients with galactosemia, and understand their demands. Totally, 5 parents of children diagnosed with galactosemia and 5 clinical professionals participated in the focus group interviews. The parents’ interview focused on the daily life of the patient, which included diet and social difficulties. The clinical experts mainly answered about medical care, including the number and status of patients, and their suggestions for effective treatment. Most parents were worried about social isolation due to conflicts in the family as well as in society due to a lack of understanding of the disease. The clinical experts stated the absence of a disease management system as the greatest problem. An integrated support system for patients with galactosemia, which includes appropriate dietary guidelines by considering the domestic environment, is required.
Purpose: This qualitative research was conducted to explore the experiences of social workers encountering peer conflicts among abused boys living in child counseling protection center (center) and psychosocially intervening to resolve peer conflicts. Methods: The participants were four social workers who were caring for twenty abused boys at the center. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interview, and field data. The collected data were analyzed by emic coding. Results: First, the experiences of social workers encountering peer conflict phenomena among abused boys were ‘psychological distortion from abuse trauma’, ‘manifestation of impulse or aggression to trivial stimuli’, and ‘lack of mutual respect among peers’. Second, the experiences of social workers intervening in resolving peer conflicts among abused boys were ‘stabilize offended feeling’, ‘maintain stability through verbal and non-verbal interventions’, ‘apply positive techniques to improve peer relations’, and ‘help abused children overcome trauma and grow’. Conclusion: Social workers confirmed that the role of social welfare experts was important to secure understanding and insight into peer conflicts between abused children and to convert the pain of abused children into positive energy. The results of this study will help social welfare professionals develop a family-centered abuse trauma recovery program for abused children.
본 연구는 보육교직원의 아동학대 인식이 영유아 보호와 학대 예방에 미치는 영향에 검증함으로써, 교사와 영아의 긍정적인 상호작용으로 영아의 건전한 성장발달과 보육의 질을 향상하기 위한 방안을 마련하는 데 목적이 있다. 연구 방법은 선행연구의 문헌 검토를 통하여 보육교직원의 아동 학대 인식이 영유아 보호와 학대 예방에 어떠한 영향을 주는지 단계별 분석을 실시하였다. 보육교사의 영유아에 대한 보호와 학대 예방으로 영유아들의 건전한 성장발달을 마련하기 위한 것이다. 이를 통해 보육교직원들이 역할을 수행하는데 필요한 지도 방안을 지원하기 위한 기초자료로 활용하고자 한다.
이 연구는 학대피해아동의 학대후유증에 대한 치유를 위하여 「아동학대범죄의 처벌 등에 관한 특례법(이하 아동학대처벌법)」 제47조 제1항의 피해아동 보호명령과 제49조 보조인 조치에 대한 국가인권위원회의 2016 정책개선 권고 결정을 바탕으로 피해아동보호에 대한 개선안을 제안하는데 그 목적을 두었다. 아동학대의 심각성을 이유로 아동학대를 방지하기 위한 국가와 사회의 책임이 강조되었고, 이에 대한 피해아동보호와 학대 행위자의 처벌을 강화하기 위한 아동학대처벌법이 제・개정 되었다(강동욱, 2014a: 235). 아동학대처벌법의 제정・시행에 따라 종래 아동훈육으로 치부되던 아동학대를 범죄로 인식하고, 아동학대에 대한 국가가 개입할 수 있는 길을 열어 두었다.(김성규, 2014: 23) 아동학대는 심각한 신체・심리・정서적 후유증을 동반하고 건강한 사회구성원으로 성장할 발달권, 모든 형태의 학대나 폭력으로부터 보호받을 권리등 아동의 권리에 대한 중대한 침해에 해당한다. 특히 신체손상을 초래할 뿐만 아니라 심리적・정서적 손상과 같은 후유증을 동반하여 충분한 상담과 안정적인 환경에서의 치료가 절실하다. 하지만 아동학대처벌법 제47조에서는 피해아동보호명령 조치중 이러한 치료 규정이 없으며, 장기간 학대를 당한 아동은 자신에 대한 부정적 감정이나 학대행위자에 대한 과도한 공포 등으로 진정한 의사가 왜곡되거나 자신의 진술이 해당 절차나 본인의 삶에서 가지는 법적인 의미와 효과 등에 대해 제대로 알지 못하는 경우가 많으므로 보조인의 조력이 절실하다. 따라서 피해아동보호명령제도에 대해 피해아동이나 그 법정대리인은 제대로 알지 못하고, 대부분 아동보호전문기관에 의해 활용되는데, 아동보호전문기관의 여러 사정으로 인하여 대응하기 어려운 실정이다. 2016년 5월 29일 아동학대처벌법이 개정되어 신고의무자 불이익 금지, 인적사항 공개 금지 등 신고자 보호 규정이 신설되었다. 피해아동의 보호명령은 반드시 필요하다. 특히 피해아동의 의견은 존중되어야 하고, 보장되어야 한다. 따라서 본고에서는 현행 피해아동보호명령제도의 실태와 문제점을 살펴보고 개선방안을 제안하고자 한다.
본 연구는 원예치료가 시설보호아동의 집중력 및 친 사회적 행동에 미치는 영향에 대하여 알아보고자 실시 하였다. 대상자는 대구광역시 동구에 소재하고 있는 B 아동시설에서 생활하고 있는 초등학생 7명을 대상으로 2006년 4월 29일부터 2006년 9월 9일까지 주 1회 총 20회 실시하였다. 대상자 전체에서 주의력 결핍 과잉행동장애 진단검사결과 통계적으로 유의미하게 향상 되었다. 교사용 친사회적 행동검사결과 모든 항목에서 점수가 높아지는 것을 볼 수 있었으며 특히 돕기, 협 력하기에서 유의하게 향상되었다. 아동용 일상적 생활 스트레스 척도검사결과 유의한 변화는 나타나지 않았 으나 전체적으로 향상되었다.
This study investigated the effects of participation in a forest therapy program on ego-resiliency and interpersonal relationships to strengthen the independent capabilities of children requiring protection. The participants were divided into two groups: the experimental group (n=87; age, 16.40±1.90 years) and control group (n=90; age, 16.97±1.39 years). The study was conducted from July to August 2020. The experimental group participated in a forest therapy program operated by the National Center for Forest Therapy, Yeongju, for 2 nights and 3 days, whereas the control group lived routine life. The participants' ego-resiliency and interpersonal relationships were tested at the beginning and end of the forest therapy program. In the experimental group, ego-resiliency was improved and interpersonal relationships were significantly altered. Therefore, forest therapy programs may serve as effective interventions that can positively affect the social adaptation and growth of protected children into healthy adults.
본 연구의 목적은 무용교육 프로그램을 통한 중국 요보호아동들의 심리건강을 증진 시키는데 있다. 연구의 목적을 바탕으로 중국 허베이성 A지역의 요보호아동을 70명을 연구 대상으로 선정 하여 초등학생 심리건강 척도를 측정하였다. 아울러 중국 요보호아동에게 무용교육 프로그램을 제공 하였다. 자료를 분석하기 위해 SPSS 22.0과 Amos 22.0 프로그램을 활용하여 빈도분석(frequency analysis), 기술통계 분석(descriptive statistics analysis), 신뢰도 분석(reliability analysis), 상관관 계 분석(correlations analysis), t-test 분석(independent samples t-test analysis) 그리고 확인적 요인분석(confirmatory factor analysis)을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 무용교육 프로그램은 요보호아 동들의 학습 장애, 정서 장애, 성격 장애, 사회적응 장애, 성품 장애, 불량습관 장애, 특수상황 장애, 그리고 불안행동 장애를 개선하는데 효과가 있음을 확인하였다. 이는 무용교육이 앞으로 더 많은 요보호아동들에게 적용될 수 있도록 향후 무용교과가 필수교과에 포함되기 위한 기초자료를 제공 하는데 초석이 될 것으로 기대한다.
The purpose of the Act on The Protection of Children Against Sexual Abuse is to prepare procedures for relieving and assisting victimized children and juveniles, and protecting them against sexual abuse and assisting them to become sound members of society. Any person who commits an offense of indecent act against a child or juvenile shall be punished by imprisonment with labor for a limited term of at least two years or by a fine of at least ten million won, but not more than 30 million won.
From the perspective of children and juveniles, protection of their sexual autonomy should have special meaning. Understanding of self, will, sex, age, and environment of children must be considered when the court make decision on the relevant cases. Sexual violence against children must have devastated effect on their development towards a man or woman who fully enjoys his or her own self determination of sex.
The case reviewed by this essay is on the issue of medical treatment by pediatrist and indecent act against children patients. The court denied victims’ statement on their victimization as a guess or emotional reaction, not real experiences. Investigators and judges should have special understanding on the characteristics of child victim’s statements on his or her experiences. Most of all, the criminal court in sexual violence cases should pay attention not to the consistency of statement by children, but to the special behaviour and mind of their victimization, and further to the social context of sexual violence.
The purpose of this study is to examine effect of horticultural therapy on mental development and interpersonal relationship of institutionalized children. This study executed horticultural therapy program of the total 16 times by one time a week to institutionalized children who have used H-Institution for children in Kyungsang Buk-do from September 21, 2006 to January 4, 2007. To examine effect of horticultural therapy, this study used the korean personality rating scale for children(KPRC), withdrawn scale, self-concept scale, and interpersonal relationship scale, and investigated before and after executing the program for comparison. Mental development was reduced from 90.87 before executing to 72.25 after executing horticultural therapy, and it was statistically significant(P<0.01). Also in withdrawn scale test, the mean point was appeared to be significantly raised(P<0.05) from 8.875 before executing to 6.25 after executing the program, and horticultural therapy was considered to be effective to mental stability of institutionalized children. In result of evaluating self-concept, it was raised from 207.37 before executing to 228.5 after executing, and it showed the significant difference(P<0.01). Also in result of evaluating interpersonal relationship, it was raised from 73.25 before executing to 83.75 after executing, and it showed the significant difference(P<0.05). Accordingly, horticultural therapy is considered to be effective to mental development and interpersonal relationship of institutionalized children.
This study was inquired into the effect of horticultural therapy on the self-concept and personality development of institutionalized children. It conducted a weekly horticultural therapy program 17 times from March 22 to July 12, 2006 on institutionalized children using an H child institution located in Youngcheon-city, Gyeongsangbuk-do. It made a comparative survey of the effect of horticultural therapy with self-concept scale, child behavior checklist (K-CBCL) and sociality scale before and after conducting the program. The results of this study were as follows: First, analysis of self-concept scale showed that the average value increased significantly as 110 after execution of horticultural therapy into 100.5 before that (p<.05). Particularly, there was a significant difference in the moral self of subordinate sphere (p<.001). Second, analysis of K-CBCL showed that there was a significant difference in the attention and concentration (p<.05). Third, analysis of sociality scale showed that the average value was increased as 73 after execution of horticultural therapy into 64.5 before that, which there was a significant difference in the sociality (p<.001).
