        Smart Education strives to become one of the goals of current Korean education, and is a prominent core keyword. A major consideration for smart content for science education is creating self-directed, interesting content that considers user level and aptitude. The present paper will examine the development of interactive edutainment content, which meets the education goals of elementary and middle school curriculums. Among various scientific experiments found in both elementary and middle school curriculums, a physics experiment dealing with the law of levers was chosen for investigation. Through this prototype application that meets the standards of current elementary and middle school curriculums, new possibilities of scientific experiments may be uncovered for the smart education age.

        Recently, the computer software has become an increasingly important share in the overall industry and many countries have been adapted an early SW education as their mandatory curriculum in school for children. Most of the prior SW education curriculums had been focused on how to learn a programming language to make a SW in a computer, but current SW education goal has been moved onto training the computational thinking to solve various problems with the computer, effectively. The paper exploits a game design activity as a good and fun tool to training such computational thinking for children. The proposed game design activity consists of a series of systematic curriculums to design a creative game in offline for the children who do not have any prior-knowledge of game. Participants first understand game elements such game title, synopsis, rules, game-play, which are indispensable to make a game. Then they try to understand what the fun is in the game and discuss with how to make such fun in the game. Finally, they have proposed a creative game design which is motivated by playing board-style games and iPad-games. With our assessment of the proposed activity, our game activity derives let the participants to computational thinking while creating the synopsis and game rules to define the game. It also revealed increased interest and understanding of computer software. We expect that the proposed game design activity could be an alternative to train computational thinking and a more holistic program to have increased interest and understanding of computer software for children.

        Presently, the first pregnancy age of dairy heifers attended National Dairy Herd Improvement Program (NDHI) in Korea has increased, and more research have been requested to evaluate the possibility of decreasing the first pregnancy age of dairy heifers. Accordingly, this study was investigated the effects of the month of age at the first service and pregnancy on the reproductive efficiency of Holstein heifers. For these, the reproductive performance of heifers was analyzed by evaluating the effects of first insemination service at 12-14 months of age (12 month old), 15-16 months of age (15 month old), 17-19 months of age (17 month old), and > 20 months of age (20 month old) in Holstein heifers. The service numbers per conception in the first insemination months were 1.85±1.22, 1.59±0.77, 1.58±0.72, and 1.76±0.97 times at 12, 15, 17 and 20 months of age, respectively. The conception rates in the first service were 51.2, 57.8, 54.8, and 52.9% at 12, 15, 17 and 20 months of age, respectively. The conception ages were 453.2±78.9, 512.1±75.9, 590.1±98.0, and 713.0±74.5 days in the heifers serviced firstly at 12, 15, 17 and 20 months of age, respectively. There was significantly difference in the conception age among groups (p<0.05). The cumulative conception rates in the heifers serviced firstly at 12, 15, 17 and 20 months of age were 51.21, 57.8, 54.8 and 53.0% by the first service, 29.8, 30.1, 32.3, 23.5% by the second service, and 19.0, 12.1, 12.9 and 23.5% by the third service, respectively. The service numbers per conception in the first pregnancy months were 1.31, 1.55, 2.0, 2.05 times at 12, 15, 17 and 20 months of the first service age, respectively. The service numbers per conception in the 12 and 15 months of age were significantly lower than those in the 17 and 20 months of age (p<0.05). The rates of repeat-breeder were 6.0, 11.3, 22.0, and 41.0% in the heifers serviced firstly at 12, 15, 17 and 20 months of age, respectively. These results demonstrate that first pregnancy of Holstein heifers should be conducted at 15 months of age, because the age at first pregnancy in heifers can be substantially influenced through implementation of reproductive management and performance.

        쌀 소비 확대를 위하여 가공용 원료곡으로 사용되는 초다수 품종은 재배연도 및 재배지역 기상의 영향으로 수량 변이가 크게 나타나 안정적인 재료 공급에 어려움을 겪고 있다. 따라서 초다수 품종들에 대한 지역별 수량성 변이에 대한 검토가 필요하여, ‘안다’ 등 5품종을 대상으로 수행한 실험 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 생육관련 형질의 변이는 ‘큰섬’이 가장 작아 지역별로 안정된 생육을 보였고, 다른 품종들은 중간 정도의 안정성을 보였다. 2. 수량관련 형질별 변이의 크기는 이삭당 입수>등숙율>정현비율>현미천립중 순으로 크게 나타났고, 수량과 수량구성요소의 변이를 기준으로는 ‘큰섬’과 ‘한아름2호’가 지역별 안정성이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 3. 공주와 충주에서 공시 품종들의 수량성이 육성 당시보다 낮았으나, 보성에서는 유사한 수량성을 보였고, 특히 ‘큰섬’이 8.40MT/ha 으로 가장 높은 수량성을 보여 다른 지역에서도 검토가 더 필요하였다. 4. 초다수 품종의 수량에는 이삭당 입수가 1차 영향 요인이지만, 등숙율이 높아야 증수가 가능할 것으로 판단되었다.

        General end-mill is considered and chosen by kinds and properties of material before machining, but in case of orthopedic surgery, cutting performance of orthopedic end-mill must be always best because bone condition is checked after operative preparation including skin incision. Generally hard metal end-mill is used for high cutting performance in industrial fields. To apply hard metal end-mill to robotic orthopedic surgery, prototypes with STS are manufactured and tested for determining proper number of flutes and helix angle, additionally proper overhang length of end-mill from sleeve end was determined by checking deflection under cutting load and critical speed using FEM program. As a result helix angle, blade number and overhang length are determined as 45∘, 3, 7cm respectively.

        Ultra-thin liquid films on solid substrates in contact with the saturated vapor are studied by using molecular dynamics simulation. The properties of evaporation and condensation of the films of various adsorptive strengths and thicknesses are obtained during the quasi-steady film evolution. Net condensations occur when the ultra-thin films on the high energy surface come into contact with the saturated vapor phase because the normal film pressure stays lower than the saturated vapor pressure. The net condensation rate is higher for the material combination of higher adsorptive strength. It becomes more so when the film thickness is of a lesser size. On the other hand, that of lower adsorptive strength has lower net condensation rate and depends less on the film thickness. Therefore, the size effect of the condensation phenomenon is more significant for the system of a higher adsorptive strength. This properties come from the state of ultra-thin film, which can be quantified by using disjoining pressure in the quasi-steady processes.         초저압용 나노여과 중공사 복합막을 제조하기 위하여 poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) 소수성 중공사막 표면에무기염인 K2Cr2OH와 KMnO4 수용액으로 친수화 처리를 하였으며, 처리된 막 표면 위에 piperazine (PIP)과 trimesoyl chlor-ide (TMC)로 계면 중합하여 복합막을 제조하였다. NaCl, CaSO4, MgCl2 100 ppm 용액 및 300 ppm의 NaCl과 CaSO4 혼합용액을 이용하여 코팅물질의 농도, 코팅시간 및 건조시간에 따른 복합막의 투과특성을 알아보았다. 실험 결과 친수화 물질로는K2Cr2OH을 사용하였을 때 더 높은 배제율을 보였으며, 친수화 시간이 길어질수록 투과도는 향상되고 배제율은 감소하는 경향을 나타내었다. 또한 촉매인 triethyl amine (TEA)과 sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS)의 농도가 높을수록 투과도는 감소하고, 염제거율은 증가하였다. 최적 조건으로는 K2Cr2OH으로 10분 동안 친수화 시킨 PVDF 중공사막 위에 PIP 2 wt% 용액(PIP 함량 대비 Triethyl amine (TEA) 7 wt%, SLS 20 wt% 혼합용액)과 TMC 0.1 wt%를 이용하여 계면중합한 것으로 공급액 NaCl100 ppm에 대해서는 투과도 40 LMH, 제거율 50%이었고, CaSO4 100 ppm에 대해서는 투과도 48 LMH, 제거율 55%를 나타내었다.

        Capriccio which has emersed in Italy of the 18th century is a new genre of the landscape painting. This genre represents reality, but it is very artificial product correspondingly its concept and character. It's birth place is distributed on various regions in Italy, but the main stage was Rome. Till the middle of the 18th century Rome was the Holy city of the Grand tour, the home of the Neo-Classicism and furthermore the field where archaeology and art history began to be instituted. On such historical situation the Capriccio came out and was recognized as the best popular genre in the visual art. It was favor of the art collection with the antiquity together and reflected the consciousness of the contemporary to the ancient. This study will examine the phenomena in the newly-developed archaeology and with few representative works of Giovanni Paolo Pannini as central term consider the Capriccio and the archaeological connotation. The systematical and institutional archeology which appeared at the age of the Enlightenment, on the contrary to the critical theories at the same time against capriccio, because it was regarded by them as paradoxical and too much sensitive, utilized it as a theoretical method very actively. Some among Historians and archaeologists did it, especially Francesco Bianchini distinguished the capriccio from simple imagination and made it a capacity of the knowledge. And through it he wanted to find out the historical truth. The visual art was influenced and encouraged by such attitude of the archaeology. However it's output spreaded out in various courses. While Giovanni Battista Piranesi, the best known Capriccist of the 18th century, tried to revive the antique through the epical value and his own imagination, Pannini gave priority to the strict historical research. In the such context Panni succeed Giovanni Battista Nolli who made the great map of the city Rome. Their Capriccio profited motive and was inspired by the historians and archaeologists such as Bianchini and Muratori. The Capriccio reflects not only the academic and popular interest for the antique, but also influenced on the upcoming scientific archaeology vice versa. It caused by their reasonable Interpretation and restoration of the antique through the visual medium. Finally as archaeological landscape Pannini's Capriccio is a historical case, in that the Capriccio applied the theoretical method of the archaeology to make art. It served as a momentum for the connotation to the archaeological thought.

        The present study aims to seek ways of activating teaching consulting by investigating how primary and secondary English teachers perceive consulting. A survey was conducted to investigate the current state of English teaching consulting at schools and to identify needs to be met for effective consulting. 157 primary and 107 secondary English teachers took part in the survey using a questionnaire. The major findings from the data analysis are summarized as follows: (1) teaching consulting is not widely accepted as significant in professional development yet, and teaching consulting is not likely to be done voluntarily; (2) there is lack of professional consultants; (3) the administration process involved in consulting needs to be truncated and made simple; (4) the evaluation of consulting needs to be fed back in improving teaching and professional learning; and (5) teachers’ voluntary involvement in consulting and cooperative professional development are considered to be important to activate and sustain consulting. Some measures are suggested to vitalize consulting in English teaching at schools and directions for future research are discussed.

        조선후기 주자 사상에 대한 연구가 심화되면서 『주자어류』에 대한 연구도 활발 해진다. 그리고 제왕학의 일환으로 시행되던 경연에서도 보다 많은 주자 관련 서 적이 강독된다. 영조 때에는 『주자어류』 또한 경연의 소대 교재로 채택되어 영조 16년(1740) 10월 12일부터 다음해 3월 14일까지 약 5개월 사이에 열린 24차례의 召對에서 강독되었다. 그런데 『주자어류』는 주자생전에 주자가 제자들과 가졌던 문답 형식의 대화 즉 ‘語錄’을 수록한 책이다. 주자의 제자들이 『주자어류』를 편찬했던 것은, 당시 주자 와 제자 사이의 대화 현장을 보다 생동감 있게 재현시켜 후대 사람들에게 주자의 사상을 좀 더 쉽게 이해시키고자 한 것이었다. 하지만 언어적 환경의 차이 때문에 조선의 지식인들에게는 『주자어류』의 글이 오히려 이해하기 어려웠다. 그리고 140권에 이르는 방대한 분량의 『주자어류』 속에서 주자의 핵심 사상을 파악하기 또한 쉽지 않았다. 따라서 『주자어류』의 난해한 단어나 문장의 뜻풀이 작업과 함께 『주자어류』 속에서 주자 사상의 핵심적인 내용만을 선별하여 읽으려는 抄節 작업 등도 성행하게 된다. 이러한 학술적 분위기 속에서 영조 때 경연의 소대에서 강독된 『주자어류』 또한 일부 내용만을 초출한 『朱子語類抄』가 교재로 사용되었다. 이때 교재로 사용된 『주자어류초』는 현행본 『주자어류』권93-137 중에서 제왕학과 관련된 내용 21권을 선별하여 11책으로 재편하여 간행한 것이다. 그리고 경연 강독을 위해 이 『주자어류 초』에 구결을 달았다. 현존하는 규장각본 『주자어류초』(11책21권본)는 바로 영조 때 소대 교재로 사용되었던 판본이다.

        The objective of this study was to analyze the awareness and satisfaction regarding Korean traditional foods in elementary, middle, and high school students. In a survey of 1,030 students, 55.9% of the total respondents stated that traditional Korean food is 'Korean food that uses unique Korean recipes' (p<0.001). In terms of awareness of traditional food, most middle and high school students responded that the mass media was the biggest influence, while elementary students said that their parents were the most pervasive influence. In terms of satisfaction with traditional food served in school, 13 menus had the highest popularity among elementary school students. Most elementary school students preferred Korean traditional foods compared to middle and high school students. The awareness and satisfaction regarding Korean traditional food in elementary, middle and high school students.

        한반도에서 산출되는 초염기성 맨틀포획암의 지화학적 특징과 평형 온도와 압력 조건을 계산하고, 산소동위원소비를 분석하였다. 연구 결과 (1) 한반도 맨틀포획암은 전형적인 초염기성 포획암(MgO: 49.12-50.95 wt.%, Mg값: 90.1-92.2)으로 구성되어 있다. (2) 한반도 맨틀포획암의 평형온도는 854-1016˚C이고, 압력은 4.6-24.4 kbar로 얻어졌다. (3) 맨틀포획암을 구성하는 감람석의 산소동위원소비(δ18Ool)는 5.06-5.51‰의 균질한 값으로 N-MORB와 상부 맨틀 감람석의 값(δ18O: 5.2±0.2‰)과 유사하다. 그러나 백두산과 제주도의 맨틀포획암을 구성하는 감람석의 산소동위원비는 각각 5.07-5.51‰과 5.07-5.45‰로 상대적으로 넓은 범위의 δ18O 값을 갖고 있다. 이 결과를 바탕으로, 이 연구에서는 백두산 맨틀포획암의 높은 δ18O가 맨틀포획암 물질에 재순환된 퇴적물원 EM2 물질의 혼입 때문일 수 있다는 가능성을 제안하였다.

        A level set based topological shape optimization method for nonlinear structure considering hyper-elastic problems is developed. To relieve significant convergence difficulty in topology optimization of nonlinear structure due to inaccurate tangent stiffness which comes from material penalization of whole domain, explicit boundary for exact tangent stiffness is used by taking advantage of level set function for arbitrary boundary shape. For given arbitrary boundary which is represented by level set function, a Delaunay triangulation scheme is used for current structure discretization instead of using implicit fixed grid. The required velocity field in the actual domain to update the level set equation is determined from the descent direction of Lagrangian derived from optimality conditions. The velocity field outside the actual domain is determined through a velocity extension scheme based on the method suggested by Adalsteinsson and Sethian(1999). The topological derivatives are incorporated into the level set based framework to enable to create holes whenever and wherever necessary during the optimization.

        The researches related to active control systems utilizing superelastic shape memory alloys (SMA) have been recently conducted to reduce critical damage due to lateral deformation after severe earthquakes. Although Superelastic SMAs undergo considerable inelastic deformation, they can return to original conditions without heat treatment only after stress removal. We can expect the mitigation of residual deformation owing to inherent recentering characteristics when these smart materials are installed at the part where large deformation is likely to occur. Therefore, the primary purpose of this research is to develop concentrically braced frames (CBFs) with superelastic SMA bracing systems and to evaluate the seismic performance of such frame structures. In order to investigate the inter-story drift response of CBF structures, 3- and 6-story buildings were design according to current design specifications, and then nonlinear time-history analyses were performed on numerical 2D frame models. Based on the numerical analysis results, it can be comparatively verified that the CBFs with superelastic SMA bracing systems have more structural advantages in terms of energy dissipation and recentering behavior than those with conventional steel bracing systems.
