        Pleurotus species are the most consumed and cultivated mushrooms in Korea. Although oyster mushrooms (P. ostreatus) can be cultivated automatically, their storability is slightly lower than that of king oyster mushrooms (P. eryngii) and winter mushrooms (Flammulina velutipes); therefore, the export proportion of oyster mushrooms is very low. Since Korean mushrooms are highly preferred across Southeast Asian, the export of oyster mushrooms in the form of complete substrates is expected to be more promising than that of fresh mushroom. Here, 1 and 2.5 kg complete substrates of P. ostreatus ‘Soltari’ and P. sajor-caju ‘Sambok’ were prepared and stored at different temperature from 0 to 15°C for 10 days. Thereafter, the formation of fruiting bodies was induced. Since the 2.5 kg complete substrates required 70 days of incubation, their mycelia were at an advanced age and their fruiting bodies did not grown normally. When 70%-incubated complete substrates were stored at 5–10°C, the growth was faster and more uniform and stable fruiting bodies were formed. Export test of complete substrates to Vietnam using distribution containers set at 0°C and 15°C revealed that the growth period was shortened by 1–2 days when the distribution containers were set at 15°C and the yield of ‘Soltari’ increased by approximately 10%. In addition, even though the yield of ‘Sambok’ was similar between treatments at 0°C and 15°C, the quality of fruiting bodies from 15°C-distributed complete substrates was much better than that of those from 0°C-distributed substrates.

        곤약의 제조 공정은 크게 분말제조과정, 응고과정 및 제 성과정으로 나눌 수 있었다. 곤약의 일반세균수는 응고제와 침지액의 농도가 높아질수록 뚜렷한 감소 경향을 나타낸 반면 용수의 온도는 유의미한 영향을 미치지 못하였다. 곤약의 저장성 실험에서 응고제[Ca(OH)2] 농도를 1.0%로 유지할 경우 인장강도는 10개월까지 큰 변화 없이 유지되는 것으로 나타났으나 0.8% 이하로 유지할 경우 급격한 감소를 나타내는 경향을 보였다. 일반세균수도 인장강도의 변화와 유사한 패턴을 보였다. 응고제 농도를 1.0%로 고정한 후 침지액에 의한 영향을 확인한 결과 시험된 모든 침지액 농도(4×10-3-1.2×10-2 N)에서 인장강도와 일반세균수 모두 저장 10개월까지 큰 변화없이 유지되는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 곤약의 저장시 응고제의 농도가 결정적 영향을 미치는 것을 의미하는 것으로 상온에서 응고제의 농도를 1.0% 이상 유지할 경우 침지액의 농도에 상관없이 상온에서 10개월 동안 물성을 유지할 수 있다는 것을 의미한다.

        Due to problems concerned with environment pollution in urban areas, the city dwellers’ social demand for urban green space is ever more increasing. The purpose of this investigation is to define the relationship between the Ornamental Linum usitatissimum L. seed germination and temperature for effective use of the seed. The petri-dish (90 mm in diameter) was covered with two sheets of filter papers and 50 Ornamental Linum usitatissimum L. was layered for four times. After then, 10ml of distilled water was supplied. Then, the sprouting test was conducted in chamber where the temperature was controlled at 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35°C. The light was adjusted to 12 hours. The source of light was 1341㎛ol・m -2 s -1 by using fluorescent light and halogen. The germination growth was investigated on two day term after the radicle projected by 3 mm. The investigation stopped when there was no further germination growth for seven days. The finding was that the final sprout growth rate was 80% at 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30°C, while it was 70% at 35°C. In the optimal temperature investigation that leveraged normal distribution function standardized at the reciprocal of T50, the temperature was found to be 12~13°C, and the sprout growth rate was 80% within the range of 5~30°C.

        The present study was conducted to development mass production methods for peanut sprouts that is considered as a field of blue ocean among the agricultural products. 'Jopyeong' was the best as a major cultivar for peanut sprouts production. The manual for the production of high-quality peanut sprouts is as following. Germination temperature appropriate for production of high-quality peanut sprouts was 27℃. Peanut sprouts at the growth stage of 8th day, and older plants with advanced growth showed deteriorated merchantable and eating quality. Resveratrol compound was not found in the seeds, but its highest amount was detected from 9-day old sprouts. The best water temperature applicable to high quality peanut sprout production was 25℃. The growth of peanut sprout was inhibited by the high temperatures above 35℃ and low temperatures below 15℃.

        In this study, for estimation of accurate thermal loading for design and analysis of civil engineering structures analyzed the daily average temperature data which have been observed over the past 50 years by korea meteorological administration. Through statistical analysis of climatic data, presented basic data on the changes in the temperature of domestic unique for the design and analysis of civil engineering structures.

        This study was conducted to isolate and identify the fungal pathogen causing seedling rot of Lithospermum erythrorhizon Siebold & Zuccarini, and to know the optimum growing temperature for decreasing seedling rot of Lithospermum erythrorhizon. On the basis of morphological characteristics, EF-1a sequence analysis, and pathogenecity to host plant, the fungi isolated from seedling rot and seeds of Lithospermum erythrorhizon were identified as Fusarium fujikuroi, indicating that disease causing fungus is seed-borne pathogen. Optimum temperature for germination of seeds of Lithospermum erythrorhizon was 15~20℃, but pathogenicity of Fusarium fujikuroi was shown more readily at 25~30℃. These results suggested that seedling culture of Lithospermum erythrorhizon between 15℃ and 20℃ might reduce seedling rot of Lithospermum erythrorhizon caused by seed-borne pathogen Fusarium fujikuroi.

        Experiments were carried out to find out the optimum water potential, temperature, and duration for the priming of rice seeds, Oryza sativa L. (cv. Ilpumbyeo) for better germination at sub-optimal temperatures. Seeds were primed in 0, -0.2, -0.4, -0.6, -0.8, and -1.0 MPa PEG (polyethylene glycol) solutions at 25~circC . The optimum water potential for seed priming, the highest water potential at which rice seeds did not germinate, was -0.6 MPa. To find out optimum priming temperature and duration rice seeds were primed in -0.6 MPa PEG solution and 0 MPa (water as a control) for various durations at 15 and 25~circC and the seeds were germinated at 17, 20, and 25~circC . Considering germination rate and speed, the optimum priming time in water (0 MPa) was 4 days at 15~circC and 1 day at 25~circC , while 4 days was the optimum priming time in a -0.6 MPa PEG solution, regardless of the priming temperature. Priming reduced the actual time of germination, especially at sub-optimal temperatures. Priming did not affect germination rate in -0.6 MPa PEG solution at 15~circC , but overpriming reduced the final germination rate in water at 15~circC and in -0.6 PEG solution at 25~circC . Total sugars and α -amylase activity induced during the seed priming were negatively correlated with the final germination rate and there was no noted relationship with the speed or uniformity of germination.

        This experiment was hocused on the improvement of postharvest management of fresh shiitake to increase the marketing duration. the respiration rate of fresh shiitake at 2 was ranged from 395mg to 551mg CO2/kg/hr depending on the cultural condition. The rapid precooling is considered as one of the most important postharsvest management to remain shiitake quality. The optimum temperature for precooling and storage was -3 because the occurrence of physical damage on frozen tissue at below -5. Frozen storage at -3 had benefits to minimize weight loss, browning induction at gill tissue and consumption of stored materials where as storage at appeared not to be adequite for the extension of marking duration. Frozen shiitake was succesefully thawed when exposed to RH 40-50% at below 1.
