        Spring rainfall events were comprehensively analyzed based on the distribution of precipitation amount and the related synoptic weather between 2008~2012. Forty-eight cases are selected among the rain events of the entire country, and each distribution of the 24-hour accumulated precipitation amount is classified into three types: evenly distributed rain(Type 1), more rain in the southern area and south coast region (Type 2), and more rain in the central region (Type 3), respectively. Type 1 constitutes the largest part(35 cases, 72.9%) with mean precipitation amount of 19.4 mm, and the 17 cases of Type 1 are observed in March. Although Type B and C constitutes small parts (11 cases, 22.9% and 2 cases, 4.2%), respectively. The precipitation amount of these types is greater than 34.5 mm and occurred usually in April. The main synoptic weather patterns affecting precipitation distribution are classified into five patterns according to the pathway of low pressures. The most influential pattern is type 4, and this usually occurs in March, April, and May (Low pressures from the north and the ones from the west and south consecutively affect South Korea, 37.5%). The pattern 3(Low pressures from the south affect South Korea, 25%) happens mostly in April, and the average precipitation is usually greater than 30 mm. This value is relatively higher than the values in any other patterns.

        The purpose of this study, the type of rooftop learn more about the psychological benefits to users has been carried out, and healthy college students were examined in 40 patients. Conduct research to make the rooftop of the type of lawn, trees, ecological garden, wetland biotope, flowering plant in Seoul were divided into six groups. Measurement methods based on the type designation of the Planting and landscape photography by once the participants for each 10 minutes to watch and mood state tests (POMS) and the mean fractionation (SD), based on survey information about the psychological effects were correlated. Mood States test lawn, tree-oriented type, flowering plant stability in type, kindness, openness, and the effect of raising warme there was a tension, anxiety, depression, anger inhibition was effective. In contrast, depression and fatigue are common rooftop greening, respectively. The results in terms of the psychological effects of the type of rooftop garden ecology and wetland biotope than lawn, tree-oriented type, flowering plant types of users with a positive psychological effect seemed to be better.

        This work presents an experimental study of the influence of lifting velocity on cake formation during filtration. For design of hot gas cleanup system using ceramic filter reactor, the most important consideration is coating conditions of sorbent in filter surface (for example : lifting velocity, coating weight of sorbent, pulsing interval and removal effect for dechlorination and desulfurization). We studied the optimum operation condition as paticle size and lifting velocity using a ceramic filter reactor at 550oC. Based on the results obtained during cold and hot test, optimum lifting velocity in a ceramic filter reactor was selected 0.68 m/s. Also, the removal behaviour of the ceramic filter during filtration was studied using differential pressure. Optimum removal efficiency for dechlorination and desulfurization accomplished at differential pressure condition over 74 mmH2O.

        The main purpose of this study is to identify the connection between urban characteristics and food wastes production. As a fundamental work for ‘Resource Recirculation’ in the metropolis, urban indicators is classified into traits of population, land use, residential construction, traffics, industries and economies in detail and then the extracted particular variables illustrate the relation of urban features and organic wastes by classifying urban indicators into traits of population, land use, residential construction, traffics, industries and economies. The scope of research is conducted in seventy-four district (Gu in Korea) in seven metropolises including Seoul to manifest the interrelationship of cities and wastes by correlation and multiple correlation analysis. According to this research, it concludes that the most influential variables for the existing food wastes treatment facility's location is the economic variables, property taxes than the population traits such as the number of population and employees. Particularly, the a noteworthy part is that the household is more critical element of wastes generation than the total population in population features.

        We investigated the effect of temperature and pressure in breakthrough performance of various sorbents for dechlorination and desulfurization. Based on the results obtained during the desulfurization (Fe2O3, Fe3O4, ZnO) and the dechlorination (Na2CO3, NaHCO3, trona) screening tests, ZnO and trona were selected as preferred optimum sorbents. H2S breakthrough time corresponds to an effective capacity of approximately 11 g H2S/100 g of sorbent. Also, HCl breakthrough time corresponds to an effective capacity of approximately 5 g HCl/100 g of sorbent. ZnO and trona at high temperature of around 550oC display high sorption performance and removal efficiency for synthsis gas from waste gasification. Although there is an issue of CO2 recovery in hot gas cleanup technology for desulfurization, we have obtained an interesting new alternative hot gas cleanup system with heat budget merit.

        Chelidonium majus (CM) contains several isoquinoline alkaloids that have been reported to have various biological activities such as anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antioxidant, immune-modulatory, and antitumoral. It has been reported that the extract of CM had an antioxidant potential, however the mechanism has not been verified. In this study, we found that CM extract activated FOXO3a. FOXO3a is a transcription factor that involved in various biological processes such as cell cycle arrest, apoptosis, DNA repair, and ROS detoxification. Transcriptional activities of FOXO3a were regulated by post-translational modifications including phosphorylation, acetylation, and ubiquitination. Protein level of FOXO3a was increased by CM extract. Promoter activities of FOXO-transcriptional target genes such as MnSOD, p27 and GADD45 were activated by CM extract in a dose dependent manner. In addition, protein level of MnSOD, major antioxidant enzyme, was increased by CM extract. Thereby ROS level was decreased by CM in old HEF cells. These results suggest that CM extract has an antioxidant activity through FOXO activation.

        동결농축폐수처리의 기술은 열역학적 효율이 높고 에너지 소비량이 작아 중소규모로 적합하며, 용수 재활용과 융해열의 냉열 재이용이 가능한 장점을 가지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 폐수 처리효율이 높은 동결농축폐수처리장치의 개발을 위해 수직원관 형태의 제빙관을 대상으로 염화나트륨수용액을 이용한 기초 실험을 통해 냉각면 온도, 기포 분사 방법에 따른 분리 성능을 확인 후 대표적 중금속인 Pb, Cr 수용액을 대상으로 냉각면 온도, 기포 직접 분사, 과냉각을 방지하기 위한 용질을 포함하지 않은 초기 빙층 두께의 영향에 따른 중금속 분리 성능을 실험 통해 확인하였다. 실험결과 두 수용액에서 모두 냉각면의 온도가 낮을수록 동결층의 성장속도가 빨라지고 용질의 분리효율이 저하되었다. 기포를 분사하는 방법 중에는 환모양의 노즐을 통해 동결계면에 직접 분사하는 방법이 원통벽면을 통해 간접 분사하는 것 보다 분리효율이 높게 나타났으며, 초기 빙층의 두께에 따른 실험에서는 1mm 보다는 5mm의 두께에서 분리효율이 더 우수한 것으로 나타났다.

        현대시대는 환자에 대한 의료제도가 의료서비스 개념으로 변화되고 있다. 이렇게 인간의 권리가 높아지고 환자가 고객이 되는 시대로 변화됨으로써 환자의 권리나 요구도 날로 증가되고 있으며 이를 바탕으로 여러 가지 병원 시스템도 환자의 편의나 요구에 맞춰지고 있는 것이 현실이다. 이로 인해 일반촬영 검사 중 Portable 검사의 Case도 점차 증가하고 있는 추세이다. Portable 검사의 Case가 증가하면서 병실, 중환자실, 수술실, 회복실에서 Portable검사로 인하여 주변 환자들의 원하지 않는 의료 피폭이 발생하기 때문에 법적으로도 이를 규제하고 있다. 실제로 진단용 방사선발생장치의 안전관리에 관한 규칙 중 방사선 방어시설의 검사기준에서 “수술실, 응급실 또는 중환자실 외의 장소에서촬영할 경우 반드시 이동형 진료용엑스선 방어칸막이를 갖추어야 한다.”고 명시되어 있지만 이는 거의 시행되어지지않고 있다. 따라서 X-ray Potable 검사를 통해 주변 환자가 받는 피폭선량을 알아보고 피폭선량 감소 방안을 알아보고자 하였다.본 연구는 Mobile Portable 장비에서 Collimator 주변을 차폐하여 차폐 전과 후의 선량 변화, Portable tube와 Collimator의 각도 변화에 따른 차폐 전과 후의 선량 변화, 환자 침대의 거리변화에 따른 차폐 전과 후의 선량 변화를각각 측정한 뒤 차폐효과를 알아보았다.연구 결과 Collimator 주변을 차폐한 후 선량 변화는 차폐하지 않았을 때보다 약 20%의 차폐효과를 보였다.Portable 검사 중 비 차폐 시 각도가 0°, 90°, 45° 순서로 피폭선량이 증가하였으며, 각도를 주었을 때 Collimator 주변을 차폐하면 피폭 선량은 감소하였다. 또한 환자 침대 거리는 비 차폐 시 0.5m보다 1m에서 피폭선량이 현저히 감소하였고 침대 간 거리 변화 시 Collimator 주변 차폐 후 선량 변화는 감소하였다.주변 환자 피폭선량 감소 측면에서 볼 때 침대거리를 가능한 멀리 떨어뜨리는 것이 가장 좋은 방법이며 차폐효과가 약 100% 내외로 상당한 효과를 볼 수 있다. 그 다음은 Collimator를 차폐하는 방법으로 차폐효과가 약 20% 정도를 나타내며, 각도를 제한하는 방법으로 약 10% 내외의 효과를 나타낸다. Portable 검사 시 환자 피폭선량을 감소하기위해 가능한 환자 및 보호자를 적정거리 이상으로 이동시킨 후에 실시하는 것이 가장 좋겠지만 환자가 움직일 수 없고침대가 고정되어 있는 상태에서는 Collimator 주변을 차폐하는 방안을 제안한다. 또한 검사를 시행할 때 tube와 Collimator의 각도를 가능한 90도로 시행하도록 하고 90도가 안될 경우는 0도로 시행하되 45도는 가능한 지양하도록한다.방사선관계종사자들은 Portable 검사에서 위와 같은 결과들을 인식하고 실제 본인에게 적용시켜야 하며 효율적인방사선 방어와 피폭선량을 감소시킬 수 있는 방안에 대한 노력과 연구에 힘써야 할 것으로 사료된다.

        The schedule speed is one of the most important elements of railway industry. In korea, Gyeongbu Line’s highest speed is 300km/h. But it’s schedule-speed is no more than about 174km/h from Seoul to Busan. In this study, we analyzed the effect of the proposed improvements in the speed reduction zone using Train Performance Simulation. We found that the improvements can raise the schedule speed from 15 to 20%.

        The purpose of this study was to evaluate the seismic performance of high-performance steel. For this study, the hysteretic behavior and deformation shape of steel beam-to-column connections with SM570TMC was investigated using non-linear finite element analysis. The non-linear finite element analysis was carried out using ANSYS. The displacement analysis of steel beam-to-column connections was conducted according to the qualifying procedures of current korean building code(KBC2009).

        Recent advancement of domestic industries and imports and exports due to increased economic power with the rise, demands the construction of the harbor structures, and a variety of structures have been constructed of reinforced concrete. Most of these harbor facilities located in the uppe rpart of the repair and reinforcement does not work smoothly. In this paper, FRP Composite Panel shows the effect applied to the harbor facilities.
