        방울토마토 잠액 수경재배에 육묘단계를 생략한 재배기술을 확립하기 위하여 ‘Pico’, ‘Pepe’ 및 ‘Koko’ 3품종의 측지를 육묘상에서 15일간 육묘한 것과 양액 재배상에 바로 정식하고 양액의 농도를 표준과 50% 농도의 2수준으로 처리하여 생육상태와 수량을 조사하였다. 1. 직접정식이 육묘정식보다 초기 생육단계에서 초장이 길었고, 엽수가 많았으며 엽면적이 넓었다. 수확시기는 직접정식이 육묘정식보다 6일 정도 빨랐고 품종간에는 ‘Pepe’가 다른 2품종보다 빨랐으며 양액 농도간에는 차이가 없었다. 2. 과일 1개당 평균 무게는 정식묘가 양액의 농도에 따른 영향은 없었고 품종간에는 ‘Pepe’가 적었다. 그리고 수량은 표준농도의 양액에 직접 정식한 ‘Pepe’에서 가장 많았다. 3. 과즙의 당도는 직접 정식한 구가 육묘 정식한 구보다 높았고 품종간에는 ‘Pepe’가 높았다.

        동치미 국물은 전통적으로 냉면국물로 이용되어 왔다. 본 연구의 목적은 냉면국물 모델 시스템에서 동치미 국물에 의한 대장균군의 증식억제 효과를 확인하는 것이다. 김치에서 분리한 젖산균을 무즙에 접종하여 동치미 국물을 제조한 후 세 형의 냉면국물 모델 시스템 즉, 동치미 국물형, 쇠고기 육수형 및 이들 둘의 혼합형을 각각 제조하였다. 이어서 냉면국물에서 분리된 8주의 대장균군, Klebsiella planticola B02, K. terrigena C08, K. pneumoniae D01, K. ozaenae D04, Enterobacter sp. A02, Enterobacter sp. C07, Citrobacter sp. B07 및 Escherichia sp. D03을 세 형의 냉면국물에 각각 접종하고 30℃에서 보관하면서 시간경과에 따른 대장균군 생균수의 변화를 조사하였다. 쇠고기 국물형 육수에서는 모든 균주의 대장균군이 신속하게 증식하였으나 동치미 국물형과 혼합형에서는 어느 균주도 증식하지 못하였다. 모든 대장균군 균주는 혼합형에서보다 동치미 국물형에서 훨씬 신속히 사멸하였고, 균주별로는 Citrobacter sp. B07, Klebsiella planticola B02, Klebsiella terrigena C08 및 Klebsiella ozaenae D04가 나머지 균주들보다 더 신속히 사멸하였다. 냉면 국물로 동치미 국물만을 사용하거나 동치미 국물과 쇠고기 육수를 혼합하여 사용하는 동치미 냉면이나 평양식 냉면과 같은 전통적인 방법은 냉면의 대장균군 증식을 억제하는 데 매우 효과적인 것으로 생각되었다.

        The ethanol extract from the root bark of Morus alba showed the strongest antimicrobial activity on the growth of almost all the tested microorganisms which were food-borne pathogens and food-related microorganisms. In order to isolate and purify of antimicrobial substance extracted from the root bark of Morus albs, the antimicrobial substance from the ethanol extract which exhibited a strong antimicrobial activity was purified by solvent fractionation, silica gel column chromatography, TLC and HPLC. Among the fractions fractionated by 4 kinds of solvents from the ethanol extract, the antimicrobial activity of ethyl acetate fraction had the strongest antimicrobial activity against B. subtilis. Unknown compounds were isolated from the ethyl acetate fraction by silica gel column chromatography, TLC and HPLC and the compounds showed strong absorbance at 207, 217 and 285 nm, therefore, it was supposed to be a kinds of aromatic compound.

        닭고기를 이용하여 소시지류의 제조 가능성을 검토하기 위하여 돼지고기와 닭고기에 인산함유 소금과 양념류를 첨가하여 cold cut을 제조하고 탈기포장하여 저장기간동안의 품질을 비교 연구하였다. 돈육 cold cut이 계육 cold cut보다 미생물의 증식이 더 빠르고 산가가 더 크게 감소하였으나 TBA가는 계육 cold cut의 증가폭이 더 컸다. 조직감 측정에서는 springeness, cohesiveness는 두 시료간에 유의적 차이를 보이지 않았다. 돈육 cold cut과 계육 cold cut의 관능검사에서는 색, 외관, 냄새에서 유의적 차이를 보였으나, 조직감, 풍미, 전체적인 수응도에서는 유의적 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 이러한 연구결과 닭고기를 이용한 소시지류의 제조 가능성을 볼 수 있었다.

        For the purpose of making the detection range of fish detection system more longer and computerizing the system a parametric sound source, a timer and a digitizing circuit for the Apple II computer have been studied. The parametric sound of 5 KHz generated by passing AND gate two signals from carrier signal generator of 200KHz with modulator of 5KHz. This parametric acoustic source of 5KHz difference frequency had more higher directional resolution of 10 degrees than single frequency sound of 200KHz. Peripheral interface adaptor MC 6821 was adopted for interfacing to the Apple II personal computer. The timer consisted of six decade binary coded decimal counters (74 LS 190), and the digitizing circuit consisted of a sample and hold (LF 398) and an A/D converter(ADC 0808). The timer with 10KHz clock pulse had the measuring time from 0.1msec to 100sec. This time measuring range was satisfactory for the aim of the fish finding acoustic system.

        Parametric 음원을 어탐에 응용하기 위한 기초연구로써 본 실험에서는 parametric 음원의 특성을 조사하고 이 음원으로 어체에 대한 표적 강도를 측정하여 그 결과를 200KHz의 단일주파수 음원으로 측정한 결과와 비교.검토하였다. 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 200KHz인 단일주파수로 구동할 때의 지향각은 5.0˚였고, parametric 음원의 주파수가 5KHz, 10KHz, 16KHz, 20KHz일 때의 지향각은 각각 4.3˚, 2.2˚, 3.0˚, 2.5˚로서 주파수 저감비가 감소할수록 지향각이 예리하였으며 부엽은 전혀 나타나지 않았다. 2. parametric 음원의 주파수가 5KHz, 10KHz, 16KHz, 20KHz일 때의 음파변환효율은 각각 0.9%(Parametric 이득은 -41dB), 0.55%(parametric 이득은 -45dB), 0.1%(parametric 이득은 -60 dB), 0.04%(parametric 이득은 -68 dB)로 주파수 저감비가 감소할수록 음파변환효율은 급격히 낮아졌다. 3. parametric 음원으로 측정한 어체의 표적강도는 200KHz의 단일주파수 음원으로 측정한 표적강도에 비하여 단일어체일 때는 머리부분과 꼬리부분에서 5 dB씩 낮았으며 어체수가 2~3마리 일때는 머리부분과 꼬리부분에서 1~3 dB 정도 낮았으나 측면부분은 비슷하였다

        To improve the environmental management and resources, in this study, we aimed to investigate the effect of adding oyster shell powder to Hanwoo manure on its characteristics and microbial composition during the storage period. Additives were deposited on top of the manure surface at the rate of 0, 0.5, and 1% of oyster shell powder per 200 g of Hanwoo manure in a plastic container with three replicates; however, untreated manure litter served as the control. Manure characteristics (dry matter, organic matter and crude ash) and microbial composition (lactic acid bacteria, yeast, Bacillus subtilis, Salmonella, and E.coli) were evaluated at day 0, 2, 4, and 8. Manure characteristics exhibited an effect on dry matter, organic matter, and crude ash at day 2 and 8 (p<0.05), and not for day 0 and 4 (p>0.05). With the exception of yeast content at day 4 of storage, lactic acid bacteria, yeast, Bacillus subtilis, Salmonella, and E.coli exhibited no significant differences in all conditions during the storage period. Conclusively, addition of 1% oyster shell powder to Hanwoo manure resulted in slightly better manure characteristics; however, its microbial composition remained unchanged.

        This study was performed to develop a new natural antimicrobial materials by analyzing the effect of extracts obtained from Ten Lauraceae Species on the inhibitory activity against Propionibacterium acnes. The plant materials were collected from Wando and Jeju islands, and the antimicrobial activity of the crude extracts was examined by the agar diffusion method with different part (i.e., leaf and branch), solvents (i.e., distilled water, 80% ethanol, and 100% methanol) and at different ultrasonic extracting times (i.e., 15, 30, and 45 minutes). The control agents used were synthetic antimicrobials, methylparaben and phenoxyethanol, at concentrations of 0.4, 1, 2, and 4 ㎎/disc. Altogether, extracts of 10 species used in the study showed inhibitory activity, which confirmed their antimicrobial action against acnes. Among these, leaves of Laurus nobilis L. which was extracted in 80% ethanol for 45 min showed the largest clear zone (19.8 ㎜). Leaves of L. nobilis L., showing highest antimicrobial activities among 10 species, were successively reextracted with n-hexane, chloroform, ethylacetate and n-butanol. As a results, in all fractions except butanol, clear zone above 10 ㎜ were formed. The ethyl acetate fraction showed the highest inhibitory activity (13.3 ㎜) and the inhibitory activity was significantly higher than that of crude extract (10.2 ㎜) and phenoxyethanol as a control (12.5 ㎜).

        Background : Hippophae rhamnoides L. are known for antioxidant, immunodeficiency, skin protection, influenza infection and prevention of heart disease. This study was carried out to confirm the possibility of functional food by changing the antioxidant effect using H. rhamnoides L. leaf extracts to the Gamju (sweet rice drink). Methods and Results : A total of 12 samples were made of different processes. Briefly, the H. rhamnoides L. leaf were extracted at 60℃ in two different conditions (EtOH 100%, water 100%). Gamju was fermented into three different koji (Aspergillus oryzae – red, yellow, black). In addition, The addition of H. rhamnoides L. leaf extracts were mixed in two ways (simultaneous saccharification, mixed after saccharification). Antioxidant activities were estimated by 2,2-diphenyl-1-picryl-hydrazil (DPPH) and reducing power assay. Total phenolic content (TPC) was determined by Folin-Ciocalteu method. In this study, we found that Gamju mixed with H. rhamnoides L. leaf increased antioxidant effects and TPC than the control (original Gamju). Moreover, the anti-oxidant effects of the mixed H. rhamnoides L. leaf with Gamju after saccharification exhibited more activity than simultaneous saccharification in DPPH assay. Conclusion : These results demonstrated that samples of added to the H. rhamnoides L. leaf could be use as functional food.

        Background : Forsythia suspensa Vahl (Oleaceae) is such an antioxidant source which is a slimbing plant widely distributed in China, Japan and Korea. The extracts of the dried fruits have been used for a long time as traditional Asian medicines to treat gonorrhea, erysipedas, inflammation and pharyngitis. It was also reported that F. suspensa was able to suppress vomiting, resist hepatic injure, inhibit of elastase activity, and exhibit diuretic, analgesic, antioxidant, anti-endotoxin and antiviral effects. This study was performed to investigate the antioxidant and whitening effect of F. suspensa extract and fractions. Methods and Results : Firstly, extract the dried F. suspensa by methanol three times at room temperature and fraction for each solvents (hexane, ethyl acetate, butanol and water). The DPPH radical scavenging activity was measured at 517 ㎚ by using a UV spectrophotometer. The gallic acid and quercetin were used as positive control of total phenol and flavonoid contents assay. Reducing power was conducted four concentration of samples and positive control, measured the absorbance at 700 ㎚. Ethyl acetate fraction showed the highest effect on DPPH radical scavenging activity, total phenol contents, and reducing power. On the other hand, the highest level of total flavonoid contents indicated in butanol fraction. The ethyl acetate fraction indicated the highest percentage of enzyme inhibition at the tested same concentration. Conclusion : These results suggest that F. suspensa extract and ethyl acetate fraction could be utilized as a antioxidant. Further biological and phytochemical study is needed.

        Background : Ixeris strigosa is a herb which has used leaves and roots in Korea. Recently, the cultivation area and food imports have been increased because it has been used as an functional crops for anti-obesity. However its cultivation method has not been developed and it is difficult to produce with good quality. Therefore, this experiment was carried out to determine the optimum seedroot size, plant number per hill, planting time, planting density, planting method and mulching materials for improving the cultivation method suitable for domestic environment. Methods and Results : In order to identify the proper cultivation method, I. strigosa was collected in Dangjin, Chungnam in 2016 and the yield and crop characteristics were investigated at the end of October. The seedroots were cultivated by size such as large (length 30 ㎜, thickness more than 1 ㎜), medium (30 ㎜, 1 ㎜ - 1.5 ㎜) and small (30 ㎜, less than 1 ㎜). As a result, the production of the medium-sized seedroot was highest at 950 ㎏/10a. Based on these results, medium-sized seedroots passed winter in previous year were used when plant number per hill, planting time, planting density, planting method and mulching materials were investigated. At plant number per hill, 3 seeds/hill was the highest at 836 ㎏/10a among 1, 3 and 5 seeds/hill. When the seedroots were planted at intervals of one month from mid April to mid August, the yield was the highest at 1,647 ㎏/10a at the middle of May. When the planting densities were 10 × 10, 20 × 10, 20 × 15 and 20 × 20 ㎝, 10 × 10 and 20 × 10 ㎝ had highest production. And two methods for planting have been used, one was to plant at right angles and the other to lay down. As a result, the latter yield was 612 ㎏/10a. Finally, when comparing non woven fabrics, color combination polyethylene film, black polyethylene film and no treatment among the mulching materials, black polyethylene film made the highest yield at 1,044 ㎏/10a. Conclusion : For improving the cultivation of I. strigosa, this study determined the optimum seed size, plant number per hill, planting time, planting density, planting method and mulching materials. In conclusion, the production was the best when the plant was laid down on a black polyethylene film at intervals of 20 × 10 ㎝ at the middle of May, using 3 medium-sized seeds per hill. These results are expected to contribute to the productivity and income farmers of I. strigosa.

        This study was performed to develop the mass propagation system using tissue culture technique to supply the seeds of Elephant garlic (Allium ampeloprasum L.) which has difficulty in propagation. Immature spathe of Elephant garlic was cultured on Murashige & Skoog (MS) medium supplemented with two plant growth regulators, naphthaleneacetic acid (NAA) and kinetin. After 6 weeks of culture, the highest number of shoot (14.9/explant) was obtained when the immature spathe with 10 ㎝ length was cultured right after harvesting. In MS medium supplemented with 2 ㎎/L kinetin and 0.5 ㎎/L NAA, the most vigorous growth characteristics was observed, the shoot number was 14.9/explant, its length was 11.3 ㎝, and its fresh weight was 2.5 g. When the bulblets were cultured in MS medium with 2 ㎎/L kinetin and 0.5 ㎎/L NAA, the addition of 30 ㎎/L adenine improved their proliferation and growth significantly, the highest bulblet formation rate (48%) was obtained. The addition of 7% sucrose also increased the bulblet formation rate at the highest frequency of 98.2%. The shoots were shown be more vigorously proliferated at the secondary subculture stage rather than primary culture stage, their propagation rate was 80% after subculture.

        In this study, to investigate an optimal configuration method for the modeling system, we performed an optimization experiment by controlling the types of compilers and libraries, and the number of CPU cores because it was important to provide reliable model data very quickly for the national air quality forecast. We were made up the optimization experiment of twelve according to compilers (PGI and Intel), MPIs (mvapich-2.0, mvapich-2.2, and mpich-3.2) and NetCDF (NetCDF-3.6.3 and NetCDF-4.1.3) and performed wall clock time measurement for the WRF and CMAQ models based on the built computing resources. In the result of the experiment according to the compiler and library type, the performance of the WRF (30 min 30 s) and CMAQ (47 min 22 s) was best when the combination of Intel complier, mavapich-2.0, and NetCDF-3.6.3 was applied. Additionally, in a result of optimization by the number of CPU cores, the WRF model was best performed with 140 cores (five calculation servers), and the CMAQ model with 120 cores ( five calculation servers). While the WRF model demonstrated obvious differences depending on the number of CPU cores rather than the types of compilers and libraries, CMAQ model demonstrated the biggest differences on the combination of compilers and libraries.

        요즘 기존 장르 간의 융합을 통해 새로운 장르의 게임 개발이 계속되고 있으며, 이처럼 새롭게 융합된 장르의 게임이 세계적으로 인기를 끌고 있다. 이러한 추세에 따라 보다 효과적인 장르 융합을 위하여 기존 장르들의 특징적인 콘텐츠를 분석하는 것은 의미 있는 일이라고 할 수있다. 본 논문에서는 디지털 게임의 한 장르인 생존 게임 장르에서, 게임의 주요 목표이자 핵심이 되는 생존 콘텐츠에 대한 분석을 위해 대표적인 생존 게임을 선정하여 공통점과 차별화된특징들을 알아보고자 한다. 분석 기법으로는 MDA 프레임워크를 이용하여 생존 게임의 콘텐츠를 중심으로 게임 메커닉과 게임 다이내믹 구성 요소에 관하여 살펴보았다

        Background: Atractylodes japonica Koidz. and Atractylodes macrocephala Koidz. belong to the family (Asteraceae). Their rhizomes, called white Atractylodes rhizomes, are used in traditional medicine. To address some issues with their cultivation, we recently developed eight hybrid cultivars by interspecific hybridization of A. japonica and A. macrocephala. This study was conducted to screen the hybrid cultivars that have high amounts of active ingredients and yield ability. Methods and Results: Experiments were conducted using the eight hybrid cultivars and A. macrocephala (control cultivar) in the experimental field of the department of Herbal Crop Research located in Eumseong, South Korea. We investigated the growth characteristics of the aerial and underground parts. Among the cultivars, ‘Sanwon’ had the highest rhizome dry weight (53.8 g/plant), followed by ‘Dachul’ (50.0 g/plant). In addition, the content of atractylenolide I, II, III and total active ingredients were investigated using high-performance liquid chromatography. Compared with A. macrocephala, most of the inter-specific hybrid cultivars had a higher content of active ingredients and yield ability. Conclusions: Through study, we established the superior quality of Atractylodes inter-specific hybrid cultivars. In particularly, it was found that ‘Dachul’ may be grown as a superior cultivar, with high amount of active ingredients as well as yield ability.

        Backgoound : Sprout vegetables are rich source of nutrients for human health. The safflower seeds contained various functional compounds and nutritions, and can be used as food material without restriction. Therefore, this study was performed to compare the antioxidant properties of sprouts from safflower seeds according to germination periods. Methods and Results : The safflower seeds were sterilized and steeped with distilled water, then incubated at 25℃ for 1 - 7 days. These sprouts and seeds were extracted with methanol, and used as samples for antioxidant properties (total phenolics, total flavonoids contents, DPPH, and ABTS radical scavenging activities). Total phenolics, total flavonoids contents, and antioxidant activities were higher in safflower seed than sprouts. Among sprouts with various germination periods, the sprouts incubated 4 - 7 days were higher in total phenolics, total flavonoids contents, and antioxidant activities than other sprouts. The levels of antioxidant activities were similar in sprouts incubated for 4 - 7 days. Conclusion : These results indicated that the antioxidant properties of sprouts differed according to germination periods, and the optimal germination period of safflower seed as sprout vegetables are 4 days.

        Background : Atractylodes japonica koidz (AJ) is a perennial herb that belongs to Atractylodes genus. The dried rhizome of AJ is known as ‘Baek-chul’. The ‘Baek-chul’ is used as important traditional medicine in north-east Asia. It is considered to be effective for the treatment of stomach disorder, virus, diuresis, inflammation, arthritis. AJ is heavily depend on import from china and only few studies have been carried out. In this study, we develop SSR marker to build a foundation of breeding, to analyze genetic diversity and to construct core collection. Methods and Results : AJ resources was collected from each different place. To find simple sequence repeat (SSR) marker, we sequenced genomic DNA of AJ resources using Illumina HiSeq 2000 System. As a result of next generation sequencing (NGS), we obtained putative SSR loci. From these SSR primers, 553 SSR primer sets were designed successfully and confirmed polymorphism by in silico analysis. Nucleotide motifs ranged from tri- to penta-. Among these, 48 primer were tested in 4 individuals by capillary electrophoresis. Finally, selected 28 SSR marker were showed clear band and polymorphism by Electrophoresis. Conclusion : In this study, we developed 28 polymorphic SSR marker using NGS, and it could be used for analyzing genetic diversity of A. japonica. These marker would be useful for breeding of new cultivar in the future.

        Background : Atractylodes japonica koidz. (AJ) and Atractylodes macrocephala koidz. (AM) belong to Atractylodes genus (Asteraceae) and their rhizomes are used as traditional medicine ‘Baek-chul’. The ‘Baek-chul’ is considered to be effective for the treatment of stomach disorder, virus, diuresis, inflammation, arthritis and Atractylenolide I, Atractylenolide II and Atractylenolide III are the major active ingredients of these. Previously, we developed 8 hybrid cultivars with disease resistance, high yielding ability and high active ingredients by interspecific hybridization between AJ and AM. In this study, growth characteristics of 8 hybrid cultivars were investigated in RDA experimental field. Methods and Results : Growth characteristics of 8 hybrid cultivars were investigated in RDA experimental field. Among these cultivars, ‘Sanwon’ had the highest fresh weight of rhizome (149.5 g/plant), followed by ‘Dachul’ (145.8 g/plant). Most of hybrid cultivars showed higher fresh weight than and AM (108.7 g/plant). In addition, active ingredients (Atractylenolide I, Atractylenolide Ⅱ and Atractylenolide Ⅲ) were investigated using HPLC. As a result, The sum of active ingredients were the highest in ‘Dachul’ (0.40 ㎎/g) that was 2 times higher than AM (0.22 ㎎/g). Conclusion : In this study, hybrid cultivars showed higher agronomic performance than AM. Particularly, ‘Dachul’ could be the superior cultivar with high atractylenolides as well as high yield ability.

        This study was conducted to establish the type and method of fertilization for no-tillage during the third year of No-tillage (NT) and Conventional-tillage (CT) practices, towards different kinds of fertilizers. In this experiment, the livestock manure showed higher in response to fertilizer effects of no-tillage. Comparing growth characteristics and yield in NT and CT. Regarding yield, there is no significant between livestock fertilizer and chemical fertilizer, but between livestock fertilizer and chemical fertilizer in conventional fertilization has significant differences. Based on the result, livestock fertilizer is effective way on the quantity of the crop. Nitrogen absorption of plant in livestock of no-tillage is more effective than conventional fertilization. In case of the phosphorus absorption and potassium absorption of plant, fertilizer effect has no significant. Nitrogen is highly absorbed in livestock fertilization of NT. Absorption of phosphorus and potassium are similar.
