본 시험은 마늘 절임에서 분리 동정된 Leuconostoc citreum SK2556 균주에 의한 마늘 발효 배양액 급여가 산란계의 계란 생산성, 계란 품질, 혈액 성상에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 실시하였다. 시험 동물은 33주령 산란계(Hy-Line Brown) 180수를 공시하였고, 5주간 사양시험을 실시하였 다. 전체 사양기간동안 산란율은 대조구, FG (발효마늘) 0.3 및 FG 0.5 처리구는 78.02~78.53의 범위로 유의적인 차이가 없었으나, FG 0.1 처리구(75.37±3.22)는 다른 처리구들에 비교하여 감소하였다(P<0.05). 사료섭취량과 사료요구율에서는 유의한 차이가 관찰되지 않았다. 시험 전기간 Haugh unit에서는 마늘 발효액 FG 0.1이 대조구와 FG 0.5에 비해 유의하게 증가하였다(P<0.05). 혈액 내 Glucose는 모든 마늘 발효액 처리구가 대조구보다 유의하게 낮았다(P<0.01). 간 기능의 이상 여부를 나타내는 알칼리인산분해효소(alkaline phosphatase; ALP)는 FG 0.3 처리구가 대조구보다 유의하게 감소하였다(P<0.05). 본 연구 결과, 산란계 사료 내 마늘 발효 배양액 급여는 계란의 Haugh unit의 향상으로 계란의 신선도를 개선시켰을 뿐만 아니라, 건강 유지에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳐 사료첨가제로서의 이용가능성을 제시하고자 한다.
본 연구는 사료내 비테인, 글라이신, 그리고 콜린의 혼합 첨가가 고온 스트레스 환경에서 노령 산란계의 생산성, 난품질, 면역 반응 및 혈액성상에 미치는 영향을 조사하고자 수행되었다. 총 336마리의 86주령 로만 갈색종 노령 산란계를 6처리 7반복, 반복당 8수씩 임의 배치하였다. 대조구는 모든 영양소 및 에너지 요구량을 충족하거나 초과하도록 배합하였다. 대조구를 제외한 사료 처리구는 0.2% 비테인, 0.62% 글라이신, 그리고 0.32% 콜린을 단독, 두 가지 혼합, 혹은 세 가지 혼합으로 사료내 첨가하였다. 실험은 8주 동안 진행되었으며, 모든 산란계는 매일 8시간 동안 평균 온도 31.7±1.7℃, 습도 57%의 고온 스트레스 조건에서 사양되었고, 이외 시간에는 평균 온도 27±1.3℃, 습도 57%에서 사양하였다. 실험 결과, 비테인, 글라이신 및 콜린의 첨가는 생산성, 난품질, 그리고 면역 반응에 유의적인 영향을 미치지 않았다. 그러나, 0.2% 비테인과 0.62% 글라이신을 혼합 첨가한 처리구에서 혈청 알라닌 아미노전이효소 농도가 유의적으로 감소했다. 하지만, 다른 혈청 지표들은 처리간 유의적인 차이가 관찰되지 않았다. 결론적으로, 현재 수준에서 사료내 비테인, 글라이신, 그리고 콜린의 혼합 첨가는 고온 스트레스 환경에서 사양되는 노령 산란계의 생산성, 난품질, 면역 반응 및 혈액 성상에 긍정적인 영향을 미치지 않는다고 판단된다.
We performed a study to examine the association between diet quality and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). Our study included 3,586 women aged 40-64 years who participated in the sixth Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey. The study subjects were classified into the NAFLD group (n=816) and the normal group (n=2,770) using the hepatic steatosis index. The anthropometric indices, blood profiles, and dietary intake data of the subjects were obtained. The waist circumference, body mass index, and the serum levels of triglycerides, fasting blood sugar, HbA1c, and systolic and diastolic blood pressures were higher in the NAFLD compared to the normal groups (p<0.001, respectively). The intakes of protein (g/kg body weight, p<0.001), potassium (p<0.001), and vitamin A (p=0.006) were significantly lower in the NAFLD group. It was observed that the higher the total Korean Healthy Eating Index score, the lower the risk of NAFLD. A reverse relationship was shown between the NAFLD risk and the intakes of total fruits, total vegetables, vegetables excluding Kimchi and pickled vegetables, meat, fish, eggs and beans. Therefore, it is recommended that middleaged women in Korea increase their intakes of fruits, vegetables, and foods high in protein for the proper management of NAFLD.
The purpose of this study was to analyse factors related to Home Meal Replacement (HMR) use among university students and to determine the dietary quality according to its consumption. A survey on the consumption of HMR and Nutrition Quotient (NQ) was conducted from September to November 2021. The study included 232 university students (88 males, 144 females) from Chungcheong. The proportion of consumption at least once a week was 71.55% for ready-to-eat foods, 55.60% for ready-to-cook foods, 40.95% for fresh-cut products, and 21.12% for meal-kits. The preference ratings were as follows: ready-to-eat foods, 3.77 out of 5 points, meal-kits, 3.53 points, fresh-cut products, 3.52 points, and ready-to-cook foods, 3.45 points. In terms of satisfaction, convenience (4.06 out of 5 points), taste (3.71 points), variety (3.67 points), and food hygiene (3.62 points) were rated the highest. The scores in the moderation NQ were significantly lower in the groups that consumed ready-to-eat foods (p=0.0002), ready-to-cook foods (p=0.0002), and meal-kits (p=0.0068) at least once a week compared to the groups that consumed them less than once a week. In conclusion, the results will serve as basic data for nutrition education for proper consumption of HMR among university students.
The objective of the present experiment was to investigate the effects of dietary vitamin C (VC), vitamin E (VE), and betaine (BT) supplementations on productive performance, egg quality, relative organ weights, liver visual characteristics, antioxidant status, immune response, and stress indicator in laying hens raised under heat stress conditions. A total of 280 47-wk-old Hy-Line Brown laying hens were allotted to 1 of 4 dietary treatments with 7 replicates in a completely randomized design. Each replicate had 10 birds per cage. The basal diet was formulated to meet or exceed the requirement estimates for Hy-Line Brown laying hens. Three additional diets were prepared by adding 250 mg/kg VC, 250 mg/kg VE, or 3,000 mg/kg BT to the basal diet. The experimental diets and water were provided to hens on an ad libitum basis for 8 wk. Average daily room temperature and relative humidity were 30.7±1.41℃ and 72.5±11.61%, respectively. Results indicated that hens fed diets containing 250 mg/kg VE had a less (p<0.05) egg production rate than other dietary treatments. For egg quality, hens fed diets containing 3,000 mg/kg BT had a less (p<0.05) eggshell thickness than those fed the diets containing 250 mg/kg VC or 250 mg/kg VE. For antioxidant status, there was a tendency (p=0.09) for the least malondialdehyde (MDA) concentrations in the liver for BT treatment. A tendency (p=0.05) was observed for less blood heterophil:lymphocyte ratio in BT treatment as compared to other treatments. In conclusion, dietary supplementation of 250 mg/kg VC, 250 mg/kg VE, and 3,000 mg/kg BT has no beneficial effects on productive performance, egg quality, relative organ weights, liver visual characteristics, and immune responses of laying hens raised under the current heat stress conditions. However, dietary supplementation of 3,000 mg/kg BT alleviates antioxidant status and stress response of laying hens exposed to heat stress.
본 연구는 고온 환경에서 사료내 트립토판과 나이아신의 첨가가 산란계의 생산성, 난품질, 지방간 지표 및 혈액성상에 미치는 상호작용 효과를 조사하고자 수행되었다. 총 384수의 25주령 로만 갈색종 산란계를 4처리 8반복으로 반복당 12수씩 무작위 임의 배치하였다. 기본 사료는 트립토판과 나이아신의 추가적인 첨가는 없으며 모든 영양소 및 에너지는 로만갈색종 산란계의 요구량에 충족하거나 초과하도록 배합되었다. 사료 처리구는 2 × 2 요인 실험 설계법으로 두 가지 수준의 트립토판(0 및 0.16%)과 두 가지 수준의 나이아신(0 및 0.03%)이 포함되었다. 모든 산란계의 사양환경은 일반 농가에서 낮시간에 온도가 올라가는 점을 고려하여 일일 중 8시간은 온도 31.4 ± 1.17℃, 습도 86.0 ± 4.28%으로 설정하였으며, 나머지 16시간은 온도 26.7 ± 1.10℃, 습도 61.7 ± 6.34%로 유지하여 주기적인 고온 환경을 조성하였다. 실험은 10주간 진행되었다. 실험 결과 사료내 트립토판과 나이아신의 주요 효과와 상호작용은 나타나지 않았다. 이와 유사하게, 난각 강도, 난각 두께, 난각색, 난황색 및 호우유닛에 대한 상호작용 도 나타나지 않았다. 주요 효과로 0.03%의 나이아신 첨가는 난황색을 유의적으로 감소시켰으나 호우유닛은 유의적으로 증가시켰다. 하지만, 0.16%의 트립토판 첨가는 난품질에 영향을 끼치지 않았다. 지방간 지표와 혈액성상에서 사료내 트립토판과 나이아신의 주요 효과 및 상호작용은 나타나지 않았다. 결론적으로, 본 연구에서 설정한 농도의 사료내 트립토판과 나이아신의 첨가는 고온 환경에서 사양되는 산란계의 생산성, 난품질, 지방간 지표 및 혈액성상에 긍정적인 영향을 미치지 않았다.
The purpose of this study was to compare the differences in the quality of dietary and life across age groups of Korean adults. According to life cycle, four age groups (20~29, 30~49, 50~64, ≥65) were created. Anthropometric indices showed significant differences according to age group (p<0.001). Energy intake significantly decreased according to age group as a result of decreased protein and fat intake (p<0.001). The intake levels of minerals, vitamins, and dietary fiber per 1,000 kcal were the lowest in the 20~29 age group (p<0.001). Whereas saturated fatty acids, MUFA, and PUFA intake levels were the highest for those in the 20~29 age group (p<0.001). The quality of dietary (DQI-I) increased with age group, but the quality of life (EQ-5D index) decreased (p<0.001). The quality of dietary showed 5.8% explanation power on the quality of life (p<0.001). Additionally, diet moderation was shown as having a negative effect, but the diversity and balance of diets had a positive effect on the quality of life. By age group, the relationship between quality of dietary and quality of life was the highest in ≥65 age group. These results suggest that practical dietary education is needed from the 20’s to ensure the quality of healthy life for the elderly.
This study was conducted to investigate the effect of dietary total mixed ration (TMR) supplementation and dry-aging period on the physico-chemical and sensory quality of striploin (longissimus lumborum) from multiparous Hanwoo cows. The experimental cows were divided into two treatments (n=3/treatment) according to the type of feed: in one treatment (slaughter age: 87±6 months old, parity: 5±1) the cows were fed on TMR for 7 months before slaughter, while in the other treatment (slaughter age: 83±9 months old, parity: 5±2) the cows were fed on concentrate and rice straw (CRS) for the whole rearing period. After slaughtering, the striploins were dry-aged for 20 or 40 days at 2±1℃, 85% relative humidity and 2 m/sec air flow velocity and then utilized for quality measurements. The pH value, cooking loss, and hypoxanthine content were higher (p<0.05) for the striploins dry-aged for 40 days than for those dry-aged for 20 days. Notably, the inosine 5’-monophosphate content was decreased (p<0.05) by increasing the dry-aging time. With regard to microbiological quality, the striploins dry-aged for 40 days exhibited lower (p<0.05) lactic acid bacteria counts and higher (p<0.05) coliform counts than those dry-aged for 20 days. Moreover, the tenderness and overall liking scores based on sensory evaluation were higher (p<0.05) for the dry-aged striploins of the TMR treatment and those dry-aged for 40 days than for the CRS treatment and those dry-aged 20 days, respectively. These findings suggest that dietary TMR supplementation leads to an increase in the sensory preference of dry-aged striploins from multiparous Hanwoo cows, and alteration of the CRS into the TMR may improve the quality of dry-aged Hanwoo beef.
This study examined the dietary behaviors and dietary quality of high school students according to the number of times they skipped breakfast. A total of 474 high school students (225 boys and 249 girls) residing in Incheon participated in this survey. The subjects were divided into the three groups according to the frequency of eating breakfast; Regualr (eating breakfast everyday, n=226), Irregualar (eating breakfast 1~6 times/week, n=143, and Skipping (skipping breakfast everyday, n=105). The dietary quality was assessed using a nutrient quotient for adolescents (NQ-A). A higher monthly allowance and a higher rate of working mothers were significantly associated with a higher frequency of skipping breakfast. A higher intake frequency of processed beverages, and street food was significantly associated with a higher frequency of skipping breakfast. Students who had a higher rate of breakfast skipping had significantly lower intake frequency of fruits, white milk, bean and bean products, and fish. The high frequency of skipping breakfast among high school students was associated with lower dietary quality, as illustrated by the low total NQ-A score and sub group score including balance, environment, and practice. This information can inform efforts to provide nutrition education program to promote breakfast consumption and guidelines to students who skipped breakfast frequently.
This study aim to evaluate dietary quality and nutritional status according to the consumption of health functional food using Nutrition Quotient for Korean elderly (NQ-E) for 288 elderly people attending senior welfare centers in Gyeonggi-do. The questionnaire consisted of items about general information, health functional food, and Nutrition Quotient for Korean elderly (NQ-E). Chi-squared test, Fisher's exact tests, and Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA) were performed using the SAS program ver. 9.4. Among the male and female subjects, the female subjects consumed more health functional food. The results of the dietary quality and nutritional status difference according to the intake of health functional food showed significant differences only in the areas of variety and abstinence among nutrition quotient factors for men, while no significant differences were observed in any of the nutrition quotient factors for women. In conclusion, focused-nutrition education program and useful guideline is needed for promoting adequate consumption of health functional foods in elderly.
The baking properties of rice bread with polydextrose (3, 6, and 9%), enzymes (0.006, 0.009, and 0.018%) and egg (1.32 and 2.64%) were investigated. The specific gravity and color (L, a, b) of the dough, as well as the appearance, color (L, a, b) and texture of the rice bread were analyzed. The springiness, chewiness, gumminess (p<0.01) and hardness (p<0.001) of the rice bread tended to increase as the amount of added polydextrose increased. Replacement of rice flour with hemicellulase, glucose oxidase and fungal amylase are effective for producing rice bread. Replacement of rice flour with 0.009% glucose oxidase and 0.006% fungal amylase had a significant effect on increasing the volume and decreasing the hardness of the rice bread (p<0.001). Replacement of rice flour with 1.32% egg white also had a significant effect on increasing the volume and decreasing the hardness of the rice bread (p<0.001). These results suggest that replacement of rice flour with 0.009% glucose oxidase and 0.006% fungal amylase, and 1.32% egg white are effective for producing rice bread with good volume and hardness.
본 연구는 열 스트레스 (heat stress, HS)에 노출된 산란계에서 혼합 생균제의 급여가 생산성, 계란품질, 면역반응, 맹장 미생물 및 분 암모니아에 미치는 효과를 조사하였다. 총 400마리의 50주령 Hy-Line brown 산란계를 무작위로 각각 100마리씩 4 그룹, C (대조군, 실온 25℃), HS (열 스트레스 33℃), HSP (HS 플러스 혼합 생균제 500, 750 mg/kg)로 배치하였다. 산란계의 생산성, 계란품질, 비장 무게, 혈액 IgG 및 lymphocyte 농도는 HSP 그룹에서 HS 그룹과 비교했을 때 증가하였고, 코르티코스테론, heterophil과 lymphocyte의 비율 (H:L) 및 폐사율은 유의하게 낮았다. Lactobacillus는 HSP 그룹에서 HS 그룹과 비교했을 때 증가하였으나 Escherichiacoli (E. coli), coliform bacteria 및 aerobic bacteria는 유의하게 낮았다. 분에서 암모니아 발생은 HS 그룹이 HSP 그룹에 비해서 유의하게 증가하였다. 결론적으로, 이러한 혼합 생균제가 여름철 산란계의 더위 피해를 방해주고 면역반응, 맹장 미생물 균형을 경유하여 생산성, 계란품질 및 계분으로부터 악취 발생을 줄이는 데 효율적인 영양전략이 될 수 있음을 나타낸다.
Metabolic syndrome is a risk factor for cardiovascular and type 2 diabetes. This study was conducted to examine the relevance between nutrition intake, meal quality, and high-sensitivity C-reactive protein in Koreans with metabolic syndrome. The 2,536 subjects, aged 19~64, who participated in 2015 National Nutrition Survey were included in this study. The 24-hour recall method was employed to analyze nutrition intake and dietary quality. Subjects were grouped into either the non-metabolic syndrome group (n=1,938) or the metabolic syndrome group (n=598). Total males and females were divided into 3 groups according to the high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) level to study its relationship to metabolic syndrome and its components, including odds ratio (OR) and confidence interval (CI). Results showed the homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance (HOMA-IR) value was higher in the metabolic syndrome group (3.37) than non-metabolic syndrome group (1.57) (p<0.001). In the Index of Nutrition Quality, males in the non-metabolic syndrome group showed higher niacin (p<0.05) than males in metabolic syndrome group. Females in the non-metabolic syndrome group had higher vitamin B1 (p<0.01), vitamin B2 (p<0.001), niacin (p<0.05), calcium (p<0.001), and phosphate (p<0.01). Female in the high hs-CRP group showed high OR in blood glucose component (OR 2.488, 95% CI: 1.269~4.879) and metabolic syndrome risk (OR 2.856, 95% CI: 1.292~6.314). Females in the middle hs-CRP group had high triglycerides component (OR 2.956, 95% CI: 1.920~4.551), compared to the low hs-CRP group. The study showed females with higher hs-CRP had a higher risk of metabolic syndrome.
본 연구는 산란후기 사료에 뽕잎의 수준별 첨가 급여가 산란계의 생산성, 계란품질 및 혈액성상에 미치는 영향을 구명하고자 시행하였다. 74주령 하이라인 브라운 산란계 360수를 4개처리 5반복 반복당 18수씩 배치하여 12주간 사양실험을 실시하였다. 처리구는 ME 2750kcal/kg, CP 15%인 기초사료에 뽕 잎분말을 0, 0.2, 0.4 및 0.8% 수준으로 첨가 급여하였다. 산란율과 난중은 매일, 사료섭취량과 계란품 질은 4주 단위로 조사하였고, 혈액성상과 난황지방산은 사양실험종료 후 채취하여 측정하였다. 전체 사양실험기간에서 산란율과 1일 산란량은 뽕잎 첨가구에서 증가하는 경향을 보였지만 처리구간에 통계적 차이는 없었고, 난중, 사료섭취량 및 1일산란량도 유의적 차이는 없었다. 사료요구율은 실험 전기간 뽕 잎첨가구에서 개선되는 경향이 있었으며, 특히 82~85주령에서는 통계적 차이를 확인하였다(p<0.05). 난백높이, 호유닛, 난각강도 및 두께는 처리구간 차이가 없었다. 불포화지방산은 뽕잎의 첨가수준에 따 라 현저하게 증가하였지만(p<0.05), 포화지방산은 감소되었다(p<0.05). 혈청 HDL 콜레스테롤은 0.4% 첨가수준에서 현저하게 증가하였고(p<0.05), 중성지방은 뽕잎 급여수준에 따라 매우 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 그러므로 본 연구결과는 뽕잎의 첨가급여가 산란후기 산란계의 생산성, 계란품질 및 강건성을 개선하는데 효과적인 것을 시사한다.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of dietary addition of pegmatite for Hanwoo steers on the carcass characteristics. Based upon the findings yielded by the research referenced above, the results may be summed up as follows : Oleic acid was for the most part, higher as T2 plots (45.40%) and T3 plots (44.20%) compared with Con. plots (42.50%). As well, this study has shown that the treatment plots in unsaturated fatty acid (UFA), monounsaturated fatty acid (MUFA) and polyunsaturated fatty acid (PUFA) were largely higher than that of Con. plots, and of them all, T2 plots were highest. As for the melting point of fat, T2 plots (29℃) were largely lower than that of Con. plots (31.9℃). This study has shown that the treatment plots were significant higher as the content of total essential amino acid and total amino acid and inosine monophosphate in the nucleotide compound for the Hanwoo beef was treatment plots when compared with Con. plots.
본 연구는 키토산 및 생균제를 급여한 한우의 채끝등심의 품질 및 화학적 특성에 미치는 영향에 대해 조사하기 위해 실시 하였다. 거세한우(n=20)를 시험구별 완전 임의 배치한 뒤 대조구(n=10)는 일반 배합 사료를 급여하고, 처리구(n=10)는 키토산 및 생균제 배합사료(생균제 1%, 키토산 0.1%)를 4개월 동안 급 여하였다. 각 처리구는 1등급을 받은 채끝등심을 이용하였다. 일반성분 결과 수분(64.13~65.00%), 조회 분(1.47~1.69%), 조단백질(19.56~20.25%), 조지방(15.69~15.88%)은 처리구간 유의적인 차이가 없었다. pH, 가열감량, 전단력, 육색 모두 처리구간의 유의적인 차이는 없었으며, 보수력의 경우 대조구(69.60%) 보다 처리구(74.29%)가 유의적으로 높았다(p<0.05). 지방산패도는 처리구간의 유의적인 차이는 없었으 나 휘발성염기태질소 함량은 처리구에서 유의적으로 낮은 함량을 나타내었다(p<0.05). Collagen함량과 anserine 함량은 처리구간의 유의적인 차이는 없었으나, carnosine은 처리구(51.22mg/dry base)가 대 조구(47.08mg/dry base) 보다 유의적으로 높은 함량을 나타내었다(p<0.05). Palmitoleic acid와 다가 불포화지방산 함량은 대조구보다 처리구에서 유의적으로 높았으며, 키토산과 생균제 급여는 한우 채끝 등심의 아미노산과 무기질 함량에는 영향을 미치지 않았다. 따라서 거세 한우에 1% 생균제 및 0.1% 키 토산 배합사료 급여는 한우 채끝등심의 보수력 향상 및 단백질 변패 억제, 기능성 성분인 carnosine 함 량과 다가 불포화 지방산의 함량을 높이는 효과를 보여 추후 이들 성분이 기능성 사료 첨가제로서 사용 가능성이 있을 것으로 사료된다.
This study investigated the effect of dietary lysine and gamma-linolenic acid(GLA) levels on growth performance, carcass traits, and meat quality in finishing pigs. Pigs were provided with feed containing two different levels of lysine(0.45% and 0.75%) with three different levels of gamma-linolenic acid(0.0, 0.3, and 0.6%). Average daily gain(ADG) was significantly lower (p<0.01) in pigs provided with the lower level of lysine. In contrast, feed/gain(p<0.01), diet cost/gain(p<0.05), and intramuscular fat(p<0.01) were all significantly higher in pigs fed the lower level of lysine. Similarly, meat color scores(CIE L*, a*, and b*) and cooking loss were significantly higher(p<0.01) in pigs fed the lower level of lysine, whereas shear force(kg/2.5 inch2)was not affected by dietary lysine. The addition of GLA had no significant effect on any of the parameters measured. The results indicate that providing pigs with 0.45% lysine in their diet may help to increase intramuscular fat content, allowing the industry to produce pork products that meet consumer needs in Korea.
In this study, we analyzed the dietary style of Chinese singles; in addition, the effect of convenience food consumption on the quality of life of singles was evaluated through construct model development on the relationship between the frequency of consumption and satisfaction with convenience food and quality of life. A statistical analysis of 153 surveys from Tianj was conducted using SPSS 12.0 for Windows and SEM using AMOS 5.0 statistics package. The reliability of the data was confirmed by an exploratory factor analysis and Cronbach's alpha coefficient. The measurement model was confirmed as appropriate by a confirmatory factor analysis of the measurement model in conjunction with AMOS. The results of a factor analysis were as follows. Dietary style was categorized into four factors. The level of satisfaction with convenience food was categorized into seven factors and quality of life was categorized into four factors. The reliability of these findings was supported by a Cronbach's alpha coefficient of 0.6 and higher for all the factors. For the level of satisfaction with convenience food based on dietary style and the quality of life of singles, a structural equation model was constructed and analyzed. The results of all tests indicated that the model satisfied the recommended level of goodness of fit index and thus, the overall research model was appropriate. The current study highlights the increased interest in eating habits of singles and is necessary for further improvement in nutrition education.
본 연구는 마늘껍질 생균제 급여가 산란계의 생산성 및 계란 품질에 미치는 영향을 구명하고자 실시하였다. 60주령의 산란계(Hy-line Brown)를 4개 처리구(control, T1, T2 및 T3)로서 처리당 6반복, 반복 당 6수씩 총 144수를 공시하였다. 시험구인 T1, T2 및 T3는 마늘껍질 생균제를 각각 0.5%, 1.0%, 2%를 첨가하여 4주간 급여하였으며, 산란계의 생산성 및 계란 품질을 분석하였다. 난중은 처리구들간 유의차가 없었으나, 사료섭취량은 대조구에 비해 마늘껍질 생균제 0.5%와 2% 급여구인 T1 및 T3에서 높게 나타났다(P<0.05). 계란생산량은 모든 마늘껍질 생균제 급여구에서 대조구에 비해 높게 나타났으며, 마늘껍질 생균제 급여량이 증가할수록 계란 생산량 또한 증가하였다(P<0.05). 계란품질을 평가하는 난각강도, 난각두께, 난황높이 및 haugh unit 값에선 유의차가 없었으나(P>0.05), 마늘껍질 생균제 급여시 증가됨을 확인하였다. 난황 내 아미노산 조성 결과, T2에서 높은 황함유아미노산 값을 나타내었으며, T3에서 가장 높은 불포화지방산 함량을 나타내었다. 또한 마늘껍질 생균제 급여량이 증가할수록 불포화지방산 함량이 높게 나타났다(P<0.05). 따라서 마늘껍질 생균제 급여는 산란계의 사료섭취량 및 계란생산성 증가뿐만 아니라 계란 품질을 개선시키는 것으로 사료된다.
