        Soybean cultivar ‘Seonpung’ was developed for soy-paste and tofu. Suwon 224 and YS1325-3S-2 were crossed in 2003 and selected from F3 to F5 by pedigree method. The preliminary yield trial (PYT) and advanced yield trial (AYT) were conducted from 2009 to 2010, and regional yield trial (RYT) in twelve regions was conducted from 2011 to 2013. In RYT, ‘Seonpung’ was stable in variable environments and a high yield cultivar. ‘Seonpung’ is determinate, white flower, yellow spherical seed and yellow hilum. Flowering date and maturity date were Aug. 5 and Oct. 19, respectively. Plant height was similar to ‘Daewonkong (standard cultivar)’. However ‘Seonpung’ has higher node number (16) and seed weight (25.9g/100-seed weight) than ‘Daewonkong’ (14 and 24.2g/100-seed weight). ‘Seonpung’ is resistant to root rot, and it also has high level of resistance to bacterial pustule and soybean mosaic virus. The yield of tofu of ‘Seonpung’ was 241%, and noticeably lighter, and solidity was higher than ‘Daewonkong’. Soybean malt scent, fermented soybean yield and γ-polyglutamic acid (γ-PGA) of ‘Seonpung’ were 4, 181% and 31.7㎎/g. The yield in adaptable regions was 340kg/10a (21% increase compared to ‘Daewonkong’). ‘Seonpung’ is expected to be cultivated and used widely for soy-paste and tofu. (Registration number: 5931)

        This study is an experimental program developed to estimate the effect of size on the shear performance of reinforced concrete (RC) beams with stirrups made from recycled coarse aggregates (RCA). The test was conducted on eight RC beams with shear reinforcement, and the main variables were section size and RCA replacement ratio (Rr = 0% or 30%). The tension reinforcement ratio (ρ = 0.012), shear span-to-depth ratio (a/d = 1.5), and width-to-depth ratio (h/b = 1.5) were fixed. Empirical test results, theoretical results, and code calculations were compared for each specimen. The results demonstrated that the empirical test results of each sample compared favorably with the theoretical calculations within a sufficient safety margin (1.32-2.61). Also, a comparison between RCA-RC beams with Rr = 30% and RC beams containing natural coarse aggregates (NCAs) showed that the two beams exhibited similar load-displacement curves and shear strengths. Consequently, RCA-RC beams made using a RCA replacement ratio of up to 30% do not cause safety or serviceability problems.

        Existing agricultural reservoirs are considered as alternative source for the water welfare of rural area. In this study, domestic water supply potential of 476 reservoirs, which has storage capacity more than one million cubic meter, out of 3,377 agricultural reservoirs managed by Korean Rural Community Corporation (KRC) were investigated. Among them water quality of 136 reservoirs met the criteria of domestic water source which show less than COD 3 ppm. Available amount for domestic water of reservoirs, which meet the water quality, for ten year return period of drought was analyzed with reservoir water balance model. The results showed that 116 reservoirs has potential for supplementary domestic water supply while satisfying irrigation water supply. Finally, economic analysis using Net Present Value (NPV), Benefit–Cost (B/C) ratio, Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and Profitability Index (PI) methods was also conducted. The analysis showed that 19 reservoirs satisfied economic feasibility when water is provided from reservoir outlet but only 9 reservoirs meet the economic feasibility if water delivered from a reservoir to treatment plant by newly built conveyance canal. In order to supply the domestic water through the agricultural reservoirs managed by KRC, it is necessary to flexibly interpret and operate the ‘Rearrangement of Agricultural and Fishing village Act’. Also, it is reasonable to participate in the water service business when there is a supply request from other Ministries. In addition, the KRC requires further effort to change the crop system for saving water and improve efficiency of irrigation systems.

        본 연구는 두 개의 편광판 사이에서 홀로그램과 같은 독특한 외관을 갖는 라멜라 액정상 메이크업 클렌징 제형에 관한 것이다. 라멜라 액정상을 갖는 메이크업 클렌징 제형 연구는 오래전부터 많이 시도되어 왔지만, 탁 도 증가 및 점도 상승 등의 문제로 실제 상용화에는 한계가 있었다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 계면활성제의 알킬 체인에 의한 액정상의 유동성 증가와 음이온 계면활성제 도입에 따른 정전기적 반발력 증가 를 이용하였다. 이를 통해 액정상의 결정화를 억제하여 안정한 액정상 제형을 확보할 수 있었다. 또한, 본 연구에 서는 객관적이고 정량적인 클렌징력 평가를 위해 형광물질과 in vivo imaging system (IVIS) 장비를 이용하여 in vitro 클렌징력 평가법을 새롭게 도입하였다. 이렇게 개발된 클렌징력 평가법을 이용하여 라멜라 액정상 메이 크업 클렌징 제형의 우수한 메이크업 클렌징력을 확인할 수 있었다. 한편, 본 연구에서 개발된 라멜라 액정상 메이크업 클렌징 제형을 직교 배열된 두 편광판 사이에 두면 홀로그램과 유사한 특이적인 무늬를 관측할 수 있 다. 이러한 현상은 액정상 제형을 통과하는 가시광선과 라멜라 구조 사이의 간섭현상에 의한 것으로 추정된다. 클렌징 제형에서의 라멜라 구조는 소각 X선 산란분석(SAXS)을 이용하여 Bragg spacing ratio가 1 : 2의 정수 비로 관찰되는 것을 통해 확인하였다. 본 연구를 통해 개발된 라멜라 액정상 메이크업 클렌징 제형은 우수한 경시 안정성과 클렌징력, 그리고 편광판 사이에서 관찰되는 홀로그램과 유사한 독특한 외관으로 인해 향후 새로 운 메이크업 클렌징 제품 개발에 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.

        This experiment was conducted to assess changes to the chemical properties of soil and applicability in a case of rice cultivation with organic fertilizers. The investigator applied organic fertilizers to rice cultivation for five years to examine changes to the chemical properties of soil and found that the experiment group of organic fertilizers made an ongoing increase in pH, organism content, and available phosphate content annually compared with the control group with no big differences according to the amounts of organic fertilizers used. As for the yield components, there were no statistical differences in the number of spikelets and grain filling rate between the experiment group of organic fertilizers and the control group. The experiment group recorded a higher level in 1,000 seeds weight and yield than the control group. Experiment Group 4 recorded the highest level at 29.11 kg of 1,000 seeds weight. Experiment Groups 3 and 4, which used 222 kg and 267 kg per 10 a, respectively, recorded 576 kg and 572 kg of yield, respectively, which were 4.7% and 4.1% higher than 549 kg of control group, respectively. As for the quality of brown rice, there were no statistical differences in the head rice percentage between the control and experiment group, both of which were in the range of 83.2-85.7%. As for the protein content, Experiment Groups 3 and 4, both of which used a lot of organic fertilizers, were in the range of 6.9-7.1%, which was lower than 7.5% of control group. Those findings indicate that the long-term application of organic fertilizers can improve the chemical properties of soil and increase the yield more than the conventional method of fertilizer application. The findings also suggest that it will be effective to apply 222 kg of organic fertilizers or more per 10 a.

        A soybean cultivar for soy-paste, ‘Uram’, was developed from the cross between ‘Suwon190’ and ‘SS99244’ (Shinpaldal-2 X T243) by soybean breeding team at the National Institute of Crop Science (NICS) in 2010. A promising line, SS00232-B-B-3SSD-9-4-1-1, was selected and designated as the name of ‘Milyang188’. It was prominent and had good result from regional adaptation yield trials (RYT) in southern area of Korea for three years from 2008 to 2010 and released as the name of ‘Uram’. It has a determinate growth habit, white flower, gray pubescence, yellow seed coat, yellow hilum, spherical seed shape and large seed (25.8 grams per 100 seeds). ‘Uram’ was found to be resistant to bacterial pustule and soybean mosaic virus, the major soybean diseases in Korea. The lowest pod height of ‘Uram’ was 19cm and it will be able to reduce seed loss during mechanical harvesting. The average yield of ‘Uram’ is 3.27 ton per hectare in southern double cropping area. Through these results, ‘Uram’ is soybean cultivar that is favorable for mechanization harvesting, resistant to diseases and highly yield.

        A variety of genetically modified (GM) crops have been developed in Korea. In these crops, the resveratrol-enriched transgenic rice plant (Agb0102) has moved ahead to generate the dossier for regulatory review process required for commercialization of GM crop. The resveratrol-enriched transgenic rice plant could be released to farmers for cultivation after national regulators have determined that it is safe for the environment and human health. Here, we developed a PCR-based DNA marker based on flanking sequences of transgene for the discrimination of resveratrol-enriched transgenic rice plant. This DNA markers will be useful for identifying of resveratrol-enriched transgenic rice plant, and can also be used to estimate transgene movement occurred by pollen transfer or seed distribution. Moreover, it is helpful for prompt screening of a homozygote-transgenic progeny in the breeding program.

        마이셀을 이용한 가용화 제형은 화장품 산업에서 스킨 로션, 토너, 미스트 등 다양한 제형으로 이용되고 있다. 마이셀은 입자 자체가 매우 작기 때문에 효능 물질의 담지체 역할보다는 향을 가용화시키는 정도로 활용 되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 효능 물질인 β-sitosterol을 담지 할 수 있는 새로운 마이셀을 개발하기 위하여 투 명한 외관을 갖는 swollen micelle을 고려하였다. 특히, 효능 성분과의 용해도 계수를 고려하여 swollen micelle을 제조함으로써 난용성 효능 성분이 마이셀 내부에 안정하게 존재할 수 있는 새로운 방법을 개발하였다. 이렇게 만들어진 swollen micelle의 안정도는 동적광산란장치(dynamic light scattering, DLS)를 이용하여 확인하였고, 투명한 입자의 외관과 모양은 육안 관찰 및 cryo-TEM을 통해 확인하였다. 또한, DSC를 이용한 열분석을 통해 난용성 효능 성분인 β-sitosterol이 swollen micelle 내에서 안정하게 존재함을 확인하였다. 본 연구를 통해 용해도 계수를 고려한 swollen micelle은 난용성 효능 성분의 새로운 담지체로서 이용할 수 있 음을 확인하였다.

        his study was carried out to investigate antimicrobial activities of water extracted Pleurotus ostreatus var Heuktari (PO), and their application to F. fujikuroi Nirenberg growth inhibition material. Various organic solvents (chloroform, hexane, ethyl acetate, ethanol) were tested to investigate the antimicrobial activities of Pleurotus ostreatus var Heuktari against F. fujikuroi Nirenberg. Chloroform, hexane, ethyl acetate and hot water extracts had no antimicrobial activities, but butanol extract showed 2.5% strong activities in order of F. fujikuroi Nirenberg disk diffusion test. Then we observe Antifungal activity using green house. Bed soil and mushroom extract mixed at 10%, 7.5%, 5%, 2.5%, 1% total bed soil mass. Screening of Antifungal activity was tested two periode 18day and 25day. The Antifungal activity rate of each period and extract density was 7.5% mixed bedsoil has investigated 80% Antifungal activity rate. The result indicates that the Pleurotus ostreatus var Heuktari extract using F. fujikuroi Nirenberg registance, which shows the development of organic agriculture seed disinfectant.

        Background : The white jelly mushroom (Tremella fuciformis), one of the most popular edible fungi, has medicinal properties. However, the effects of T. fuciformis in skin whitening or anti-wrinkle efficacy has not been defined to date. The aim of the present study was to investigate the effects of T. fuciformis extracts on whitening and anti-wrinkle efficacy in skin cells. Methods and Results :We prepared T. fuciformis extracts with water. The extracts (80℃) contained 12.11 ㎎/g polyphenol and 8.54 ㎎/g flavonoid concentration. T. fuciformis extracts markedly decreased melanin contents and tyrosinase activity in α-MSHstimulated melanocytes (B16F10 cells). In addition, the mRNA expression of melanin formation factors, such as microphthalmiaassociated transcription factor (MITF), tyrosinase-related protein-1 (TRP-1) and tyrosinase-related protein-2 (TRP-2) were significantly down-regulated in α-MSH-stimulated melanocyte. Furthermore, T. fuciformis extracts increased the synthesis of type I procollagen and reduced mRNA expression of matrix metalloproteinase 1 (MMP-1) in the human dermal fibroblast (HDFn cells). These data indicated that T. fuciformis extracts induce repression of cellular melanogenesis and protect against wrinkles caused by UVB-stimulated damage. Conclusions : Thus T. fuciformis extracts could be a cosmetic candidate for skin whitening and anti-wrinkle effects.

        Fuji apple variety introduced in Japan has excellent storage quality and good taste so it is most commonly cultivated in the Korean Peninsula. Accurate prediction of harvest maturity allows farmers to more efficiently manage their farm, such as working time, fruit storage, market shipment and labor distribution so it is very important. This study was carried out to predict the harvest maturity of ‘Fuji’ apple using DTS (Days Transformed to Standard temperature) model based on the Arrhenius law in the Gunwi province of the South Korea. Input data are daily average temperature and apple harvest maturity. Predicted the harvest maturity of Fuji apple after estimating the optimal parameters by using the Nelder-Mead method. The differences of observed and predicted harvest maturity day are approximately 1 to 4 days and the RMSE is 2.9.

        국립원예특작과학원 배연구소에서 과실이 크고, 당도가 높은 수분수용 고품질 떫은감 품종을 육성하기 위해 2000년에 ‘서촌조생’에 ‘조홍시’를 교배하였다. 교배실생 중에서 ‘00-16-121’를 2007년에 1차 선발하였고, 연시, 곶감 및 수분수로의 특성이 우수하여 2009년 최종 선발하고 ‘파트너’로 명명하였다. ‘파트너’의 수세는 중간 정도이고 수자는 반개장성이다. 수꽃착생이 많으며 화분량은 100화당 380 mg으로 풍부하다. 숙기는 만개후 144일로 ‘선사환’보다 1주일 빠르며, ‘서촌조생’보다 3주 가량 늦다. 평균과중은 224 g이며, 당도는 18.8°Bx이다(등록번호 제5519호).

        콩 품종 ‘대풍’은 국내 육성품종 최초로 10a당 300kg을 초과하는 높은 수량성과 재배안정성을 갖추었음에도 종자 외관의 결함으로 상품성이 낮아 보급이 확대되지 못하고 있다. 콩의 수량성 향상과 상품성 향상을 위해, ‘대풍’을 활용하여 수량성과 안정성을 갖추면서 종자품위를 개선한 품종을 만들고자 연구하였다. ‘대풍2호’는 ‘대풍’을 모본으로 하고, ‘수원190호’와 ‘대원콩’을 교배한 대립계통을 부본으로 하여 2003년도에 교배하여 계통육성법에 따라 육성한 ‘밀양242호’이다. 대풍콩의 단점인 배꼽색을 없애고, 종자모양이 ‘대풍’보다 구형에 더 가까우며 종피의 색택이 좋아 종자품위가 우수하다. ‘대풍2호’의 엽형은 ‘대풍’이 난형인데 반해 피침형으로 수광태세가 좋으며, 꽃색은 백색, 모용색과 협색은 갈색으로 ‘대풍’과 같다. 성숙기는 10월 14일로 ‘대풍’보다 3일 늦으며 ‘대원콩’과 비슷하다. 불마름병과 도복에 강하며, 성숙후 꼬투리의 탈립에 강하다. 종실 100립중은 20.9g으로 ‘대풍’과 비슷하며 ‘대원콩’보다는 4.4g 작은 중립 품종이다. 지역적응성 검정시험에서 제주지역을 제외한 적응지역 평균수량이 10a당 345kg으로, ‘대원콩’보다 21% 더 높으며, ‘대풍’의 99%로서 대등한 수준이다. 두부와 메주, 청국장 제조시 수율이 높으며 청국장의 점성성분인 γ-PGA함량이 45.5mg/g으로 대원콩의 35.3mg/g보다 높다.

        장류용 콩의 표준품종인 ‘대원콩’은 탈립에 매우 강하고 종실의 모양과 색택이 매우 우수하여 널리 재배되고 있다. 하지만 착협고가 높지 않고 재배시 도복에 약한 단점이 있어 기계화 적응성을 높이고 재배특성을 향상시키기 위해 이를 개량할 필요가 있다. 국립식량과학원에서는 2003년 단경 내도복 콩 품종육성을 목표로 모본을 ‘수원224호’, 부본을 ‘YS1325(동산121/Sprite87)’로 인공교배하여 2004∼2005년 F1, F2를 집단 전개하고 2006∼2007년 SSD로 세대촉진하여 F6 이후 계통전개 하였다. 종실이 구형이며 제색이 없으며 도복에 강한 계통을 선발하여 2010년부터 2년간의 생산성검정과 3년간의 지역적응성검정을 거쳐 ‘대찬(밀양244호)’을 육성하고 2014년 품종보호출원 및 국가품종목록으로 등재하였다. ‘대찬’은 화색이 백색이고, 모용색이 회색, 종자는 구형이며 종피색과 제색이 황색으로 ‘대원콩’과 유사하다. 개화기는 8월 2일, 성숙기는 10월 13일로 ‘대원콩’보다 생육기간이 다소 짧으며 경장은 68cm로 ‘대원콩’보다 작고 주경절수는 15개, 분지수는 3개, 착협고는 15cm로 ‘대원콩’ 보다 크다. 종실의 장폭비는 0.97로 ‘대원콩’과 유사하고 100립중은 24.5g으로 ‘대원콩’보다 0.9g 작았다. 병 저항성 검정 결과 불마름병 저항성이 검정포장과 유묘검정에서 ‘대원콩’보다 강했다. 전국 11개 지역에서 수행한 지역적응시험에서 ‘대찬’의 수량은 전국평균 321kg/10a, 적응지역 평균 330kg/10a로 ‘대원콩’보다 각각 17%, 16% 증수하였다.

        Recently, demand for construction aggregates is increasing due to the growth of construction site scale. As natural aggregate sources are becoming depleted due to high demand in construction field, the utilization of recycled aggregate (RA) as coarse aggregate in concrete is becoming more important. In this study, the authors analyze the mechanical properties of normal- and high-strength concrete beams using RA and investigate the usefulness of the minimum steal ratio for RA reinforced concrete beams. The experimental results show that application of the minimum steel ratio to RA reinforced concrete beams is possible.

        본 연구에서는 인산가용화 균주인 Kluyvera sp. CL2 처리시기가 과실품질에 미치는 영향을 구명하고자 본 연구를 실시하였다. 토양의 화학성 변화는 경핵기 처리구에서 인산이 가장 많이 증가하였고, K, Ca, Mg도 증가됨을 알 수 있었으며, pH의 변화는 토양 완충능에 의하여 적었다. 인산가용화균 처리에 따른 수용성 인산의 변화는 처리 시부터 20일 까지 효과적이었으며, 과립연화기 처리구부터 인산가용화율이 좋았다. 또한 과립연화기 처리구에서 과방중과 당도가 증가됨을 알 수 있었다. 인산가용화 균주 처리구에서 안토시아닌, 명도, 적색도, 황색도가 경핵기와 과립연화기 처리구에서 유의성을 보였으며, 특히 적색도가 향상되어 착색증진 효과가 있었다. 결론적으로 과실특성과 과실품질을 모두 비교하였을 때 과립연화기에 인산가용화 균주를 투입하는 것이 수량성과 품질면에서 가장 효과적이라고 생각된다.

        The β-carotene biofortified transgenic soybean was developed recently through Agrobacterium-mediated transformation using the recombinant PAC (Phytoene synthase-2A-Carotene desaturase) gene in Korean soybean (Glycine max L. cv. Kwangan). GM crops prior to use as food or release into the environment required risk assessments to environment and human health in Korea. Generally, transgenic plants containing a copy of T-DNA were used for stable expression of desirable trait gene in risk assessments. Also, information about integration site of T-DNA can be used to test the hypothesis that the inserted DNA does not trigger production of unintended transgenic proteins, or disrupt plant genes, which may cause the transgenic crop to be harmful. As these reasons, we selected four transgenic soybean lines expressing carotenoid biosynthesis genes with a copy of T-DNA by using Southern blot analysis, and analyzed the integration sites of their T-DNA by using flanking sequence analysis. The results showed that, T-DNA of three transgenic soybean lines (7-1-1-1, 9-1-2, 10-10-1) was inserted within intergenic region of the soybean chromosome, while T-DNA of a transgenic soybean line (10-19-1) located exon region of chromosome 13. This data of integration site and flanking sequences is useful for the biosafety assessment and for the identification of the β-carotene biofortified transgenic soybean.

        The HWND_G02 (Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge, Crataegus pinnatifida, Polygonum multiflorum Thunberg, Cnidium officinale Makino) and HWND_G03 (Cinnamonum cassia Blume, Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge, Crataegus pinnatifida, Polygonum multiflorum Thunberg, Cnidium officinale Makino, Allium macrostemon Bunge) are new natural mixture composed with several oriental herbs. The aim of the present study was to investigate the effects of HWND extracts on high cholesterol diet (HCD)-induced hyperlipidemic rats. Male Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into five groups: control, HCD, atorvastatin (5 ㎎/㎏, po), ethanolic extracts of HWND_G02 (1,000 ㎎/㎏, po) and HWND_G03 (1,000 ㎎/㎏, po) were administered to the HCD-induced hyperlipidemic rats for 4 weeks to evaluate their anti-hyperlipidemic activities. HWND extracts markedly decreased body and liver wight gain, and recovered serum lipid levels, such as total cholesterol (TC), triglycerides (TG), low density lipoprotein-cholesterol (LDL-C) and high density lipoprotein-cholesterol (HDL-C) in the HCDinduced hyperlipidemic rats. Furthermore, the lipid levels (TC and TG) and the lipid accumulation were significantly lowered in the liver tissue of HWND-administrated rats. After a HCD, each group had a lower atherogenic index (AI) compared to the HCD group. In conclusion, these data suggest that HWND extracts could be the candidate for the material to prevent hyperlipidemia.

        This study was performed to investigate the adequate standard pot and number of plants per tree of raising seeding pot on the foxtail millet transplanting culture in the southern province. Due to the various application of wellbeinghealth food recently, for upbringing of the foxtail millet, millet and sorghum in minor cereals, R & D and policy support is being promoted actively. The foxtail millet growing season is so short from 90 to 130 days, and it is large variations for a growth temperature. The main results are as follows. When it comes to foxtail millet transplantation, seedling quality of 406 holes, 200 holes and 162 holes of raising seeding pot type were not all significant, and field rooting percentage is accounted for all 94 to 95%. Yield of a foxtail millet was exposed in 406holes 305 kg/10a>162holes 303 kg> 200holes 302 kg order, and it was no significance between test processing. When it's the raising seeding transplanting culture, in case of pot culture, 406holes pot culture were reduced the bed soil cost 63%, pot 50%, working hours 18% for 200holes pot. Transplanting seedling quality per a foxtail millet transplanting culture method, dry weight was high inclination as transplanting number of plant is less, and field rooting percentage displayed more than all 95%. Yield appeared to 2 plants seedling transplanting 315kg/10a> 3 plants seedling transplanting 304kg>1 plant seedling transplanting 256kg order.         ‘삼다찰’은 제주도에서 수집된 재래조를 기본집단으로 하여 분리육종법을 통해 국립식량과학원 잡곡과에서 2011년 육성된 신품종으로 주요특성과 수량성을 요약하면 다음과 같다. 출수기는 표준품종인 황금조보다 보통기 재배에서는 20일 정도 늦은 중만생종으로 성숙일수는 60일 정도이며 감광성이 민감하고 기본영양생장기간은 길다. 간장은 128 cm 정도로 황금조에 비해 약간 크고, 경의 마디수는 14개로 많은 편이며 강도가 강하고 기부절간이 짧아 도복에 강한 특성을 나타낸다. 이삭은 원통형이며 낟알의 착립밀도가 조밀하고 이삭길이는 28 cm로 길다. 낟알은 청회색이며, 배유의 아밀로스 함량이 7.3%로 차조에 해당하며, 날알의 무기성분 중 칼슘 7.5mg/100g, 마그네슘 45.6 mg/100g 으로 비교적 함량이 높으며 항산화성분중 폴리페놀 함량도 높은 특성을 가지고 있다. 수량은 지역적응시험 보통기재배 평균 2.24 MT/ha로서 표준 품종 보다 8% 정도 증수되는 다수성이고, 기본영양생장 기간이 길기 때문에 중·남부 평야지역에 적응성이 높으며, 단간·내도복 직립 초형으로 기계화 재배에 유리한 우수한 품종이다.
