We have investigated the rheological behaviours of emulsions containing polymers. The polymers used in this study were polyacrylamide and carboxy vinyl polymer. The emulsion with polyacrylamide shows better prior preference than that with carboxy vinyl polymer on the skin texture. In the toxicity test, such as, LLNA cell toxicity, skin organ culture and human patch test, polyacrylamide was the appropriate materials for the cosmetics. The viscosity of polyacrylamide shows maximum value in neutral pH and good stability against temperature. The decreasing effect of viscosity against salt was not good enough but showed a better result than that of carboxy vinyl polymer. Two times the amount of polyacrylamide should be used for the formation of a similar viscosity of carboxy vinyl polymer. Yield value of polyacrylamide was low and the effect for the stabilizing emulsions was also low.
The object of this research is to conform of practicable possibility and recycling of producing junk after citrus fruits is processed. With extracting d-limonene oil that have 70~90% a component of oil out of junk citrus peel, making certain the about 12000ppm concentration of it. Limonene derived from citrus in jeju using conventional synthetic detergents can be replaced with the development of environmentally friendly natural detergent investigated the possibility. Mostly due to ocean dumping, disposal and cause environmental problems by recycling natural citrus cleaner alternative to the research conducted on the possibility. Cleaning efficiency with temperature did not affect the largest concentrations were able to identify the difference between cleaning efficiency. At least 10% of the d-limonene oil could be from the cleaning performance, increasing the concentration of the cleaning efficiency was increased in size. Ultrasonic is very high removal efficiency under the conditions shown in the cause of pure self-generated ultrasonic cleaning power as co-effects of d-limonene oil appears to chemical cleaning effect of ultrasonic cavitation occurs in the physical cleaning effect due to a combination of synergistic stability is maximized by low concentrations of d-limonene oil in a short time showed an excellent cleaning ability. Having the ability of cleaning at the same time, considering the side recycling in the junk citrus peels reflects possibility of basic materials utility eco-friendly in the skin soap, bath soap, cosmetics etc, through ability of exclusion a contaminant in based cleaning effect(EC) it can prospect substitution effect environmentally in the pre existence synthetic detergents.
Hydroxy fatty acids have gained important attentions because of their special properties such as higher viscosity and reactivity compared to non-hydroxy fatty acids. The new bacterial isolate Pseudomonas aeruginosa (PR3) had been well studied to produce mono-, di-, and tri-hydroxy fatty acids from different unsaturated fatty acids. Of those hydroxy fatty acids, 7,10-dihydroxy-8(E)-octadecenoic acid (DOD) was produced with high yield from oleic acid by P. aeruginosa PR3. Mostly, the substrates used for the production of hydroxy fatty acid by microorganisms were free fatty acids or synthetic lipids. However, it is highly plausible to use vegetable oils containing oleic acid such as olive oil for DOD production by P. aeruginosa PR3. As a first step to address the utilization of olive oil as a substrate for DOD production, we tried to determine the effect of vessel type on DOD production from olive oil by P. aeruginosa PR3. Of two different flask types of normal flask and baffled-flask, baffled-flask was highly effective for DOD production with all the media tested. Maximum increase of productivity by baffled-flask represented 221% with the medium supplemented with whey powder instead of lactose. Results from this study demonstrated that vessel type and medium composition could be both significant factors for DOD production from olive oil by P. aeruginosa PR3.
The continuous transesterification of mixed fat was done on the plug flow reactor packed with the static mixers. The transesterification using 0.5 wt% KOH, 0.8 wt% TMAH and mixed catalyst[40 v/v% KOH(0.5 wt%)+60 v/v% TMAH(0.8 wt%)] was conducted with the changes of molar ratios, weight percentage of beef, flow rates and number of static mixer's elements at 65℃. The overall conversion of mixed fat at 1:8 molar ratio, 50 wt% of beef and 24 of static mixer's elements increased until 0.7mL/min of flow rate. The overall conversion of mixed fat showed 96% at those conditions. So, the optimum operating conditions on tublar reactor were 1:8 molar ratio, 50 wt% of beef, 0.7 mL/min of flow rate and 24 of static mixer' s elements.
A series of noble poly(amide-imide)s and copoly(amide-imide)s bearing 1,2-bis(4-phenoxy)benzene units were synthesized by the direct polycondensation of 1,2-bis(4-trimellitimidophenoxy)benzene[1,2-PTPB] with a combination of commercially available aromatic diamines and diacids such as m-phenylene diamine, p-phenylene diamine(PPD), isophthalic acid and terephthalic acid(TA) in N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone(NMP) using triphenyl phosphite and pyridine as a condensing agent in the presence of dehydrating agent (CaCl2). The resulting polymers had inherent viscosities in the range of 0.37~0.78 dL/g and most of them were soluble m common organic solvents including NMP, dimethylacetamide, dimethylsulfoxide, dimethylformamide, and m-cresol. Wide-angle X-ray diffractograms revealed that the copoly(amide-imide) derived from PPD with mixed acids of 1,2-BTPB and TA, showed crystalline nature, whereas all of the other polymers were found to be amorphous. The glass transition temperatures of the polymers occurred over the temperature range of 270~323℃ in their differential scanning calorimetry curves and their 10% weight loss temperature, determined by thermogravimetric analysis in air and nitrogen atmosphere, were in the range 465~535℃, 500~550℃, respectively, indicating their good thermal stability.
Oxide semiconductors Thin-film transistors are an exemplified one owing to its excellent ambient stability and optical transparency. In particular zinc oxide (ZnO) has been reported because It has stability in air, a high electron mobility, transparency and low light sensitivity, compared to any other materials. For this reasons, ZnO TFTs have been studied actively. Furthermore, we expected that would be satisfy the demands of flexible display in new generation. In order to do that, ZnO TFTs must be fabricated that flexible substrate can sustain operating temperature. So, In this paper we have studied low-temperature process of zinc oxide(ZnO) thin-film transistors (TFTs) based on silicon nitride (SiNx)/cross-linked poly-vinylphenol (C-PVP) as gate dielectric. TFTs based on oxide fabricated by Low-temperature process were similar to electrical characteristics in comparison to conventional TFTs. These results were in comparison to device with SiNx/low-temperature C-PVP or SiNx/conventional C-PVP. The ZnO TFTs fabricated by low-temperature process exhibited a field-effect mobility of 0.205 cm2/Vs, a thresholdvoltage of 13.56 V and an on/off ratio of 5.73×106. As a result, We applied experimental for flexible PET substrate and showed that can be used to ZnO TFTs for flexible application.
Over the years, scientists have developed many test methods to evaluate the efficacy of skin care products. The needs for objective assessment have stimulated to develop instruments that are capable of reliably monitoring some parameters in evaluating skin conditions. The beauty is evaluated as a measure of smoothness of skin surface. Quantitative size measurements of skin pores is also important concept to evaluate the their conditions. The purpose of this paper is to measure the temperature change of skin and the size of pores in the skin. The pore sizes were changed by its varying skin temperature. They were decreased by applying a essence which is contained with propellant and contents.
This study is focused on the channel design of bipolar plate in the electrode of hydrogen gas generator. The characteristics of hydrogen gas generation was studied in view of efficiency of hydrogen gas generation rate and a tendency of gas flow through the riv design of electrode. Since the flow rate of generated gas is the most crucial in determining the efficiency of hydrogen gas generator, we adopted the commercial analytical program of COMSOL MultiphysicsTM to calculate the theoretical flow rate of hydrogen gas from the outlet of gas generator.
This study was conducted to investigate the quality characteristics of the natural dishwashing liquid added with the mixture extracts of Curcuma Longa L. (CL), Morus alba (MA) and Ecklonia cava (EC) at various concentrations. The pH and lightness of the natural dishwashing liquid were reduced by adding the mixture extracts, while the turbidity was increased. The natural dish washing liquid added with mixture extracts was shown to display strong antimicrobial activities against L. monocytogenes compared to that of control. Also, it revealed that antioxidant activity was increased depending on concentrations. However, natural dishwashing liquid added with mixture extracts showed the low detergency efficiency. In sensory evaluation, the natural dishwashing liquid containing CL 0.5%, MA 0.25% and EC 0.25% was preferred than the control and it showed negative result in skin patch test. These results suggest that the addition of CL 0.5%, MA 0.25% and EC 0.25% positively improved the qualities characteristics in the natural dish washing liquid.
In this research, an effective method for reducing the fibrillation of lyocell fibers, which are spun from a solution of cellulose in N-methyl morpholine-N-oxide(NMMO), through consecutive chemical treatments. Undried solution-spun cellulosic fiber was firstly treated with 10 to 30 wt% of multifunctional crosslinking agents, such as ethylene glycol poly(3-chloro-2-hydroxypropyl) ether, and then dipped into alkaline solution to introduce epoxy functions. Finally steam condition was applied to occur a chemical crosslinking in order to reduce the fibrillation on the surface of fibers. Fibrillation was also reduced significantly by adding extra Na2SO4 in NaOH solution. In addition, Antifibrilllated lyocell fibers show the slightly higher dyeability(4 %) to Cibacron Blue without serious reduction of mechanical properties.
Various research on the surface of the skin and the relationship between epidermis and composition of ion have been performed. Traditionally, bamboo extract was used as an important material for enhancing healthy condition of a skin. Bamboo salt is well known as one of the most famous traditional medical treatments. In this study, we investigated the stability of P/S (Polyol-in-Silicone) emulsions containing a fair amount of bamboo salt in the range of 0.5~5.0 wt%. For improving the stability of emulsions, we varied the quantity of fatty alcohol and wax ester in emulsions and the stability was checked using DSC (Differential Scanning Calorimeter). We also studied the efficacy of treating the P/S emulsions containing bamboo salt. From the experiment, the emulsions show the mitigation of stimuli, enhancing the skin hydration and improving the appearance of the skin.
Core-Shell polymers of silicone dioxide-styrene system were prepared by sequential emulsion polymerization. In inorganic/organic Core-Shell composite particle polymerization, silicone dioxide adsorbed by surfactant sodium dioctyl sulfosuccinate (EU-DO133L) was prepared initially and then core silicone dioxide was encapsulated emulsion by sequential emulsion polymerization using styrene at the addition of potassium persulfate (KPS) as an initiator. We found that SiO2 core shell of SiO2/styrene structure was formed when polymerization of styrene was conducted on the surface of SiO2 particles, and the concentration sodium dioctyl sulfosuccinate (EU-DO133L) was 0.5~2.0g. The structure of core-shell polymer were investigated by measuring to the thermal decomposition of polymer composite using thermogravimetric analyzer and morphology of latex by scanning electron microscope(SEM).
In this study, we experimented that how to synthesis waterborne urethane-acrylic hybrid resin for leather coatings. First of all, We had analyzed data by FT-IR, SEM and TGA for the machanical properties. By TGA analysis polymers showed heat distortion temperature. and by FT-IR measurement we confirmed that synthesis of urethane and acrylic. In the experiment, solvent resistance, polyurethane and acrylic grades 4-5 showed both a high. Tensile strength measured in the waterborne polyurethane 〉 Acrylic emulsion showed strength in the order. Films were obtained by coating the water born resin on leveled surfaces and allowing them to dry at room temperature for 72hrs. After demolding, the films were kept in a desiccator to avoid moisture contant at 25℃ for 45hrs before the measurements. In this result, the mechanical propersies of waterborne polyurethane-acrylic hybrid resin showed that how effect to resin in leather coating between polyurethane content and acrylic content. Therefore, acrylic emulsion had most high solvent resistance glade and waterborne polyurethane had good result in abrasion test and tensile strength.
The influence of red lead(Pb3O4) to curing and formation reaction properties when it was added in positive material of lead acid battery for vehicle use has been investigated. At the results, it was confirmed that the addition of red lead led 4BS crystal size to be smaller and increased the rates of 4BS formation and Pb consumption. Consequently the curing time was shortened to half compared with that of red lead-free one. In addition to this, the lead acid battery prepared by adding red lead showed 14% higher efficiency at the life cycle test than that without red lead.
We investigated the electrochemical properties for Langmuir-Blodgett(LB) films mixed with l-bromotetradecane(Cl4), l-bromohexadecane(Cl6), and l-bromooctadecane(Cl8). The alkyl bromides mixture was deposited by using the Langmuir-Blodgett method on the ITO glass. The electrochemical properties measured by using cyclic voltammetry with a three-electrode system(an Ag/AgCl reference electrode, a platinum wire counter electrode and LB film-coated ITO working electrode) at various concentrations(0.5, 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0 N) of NaClO4 solution. A measuring range was reduced from initial potential to -1350 m V, continuously oxidized to 1650 mV. The scan rate was 100 mV/s. As a result, LB films of Cl4, Cl6, and Cl8 mixture monolayers appeared irreversible process caused by only the oxidation current from the cyclic voltammogram. The diffusivity(D) effect of LB films decreased with increasing of alkyl bromides amount.
EAF dust which is contained around 30% of zinc, 15% of iron and 3% of lead individually, is chemically treated by ammonium chloride, ammonia water, ammonia gas and carbon dioxide, and also tested and identified the ratios of the recovery of In by applied the variations of particle size, pH and heating temperature as well, in order to getting optimized recovery of the In metal after performing all of those processes. Experimental results showed that the rate of Zn recovery is 97% when the mixture of 1.3 of NH4Cl/EAF is heated to the temperature of 400℃ and leached by water, and 95% recovery of In when ammonia gas and carbon dioxide is added simultaneously and adjust the 9.5 of pH to the same mixture above. For the purpose of remove the impurities in the mixed sample, which is prepared by the two samples, indicated above showing as the ratio of 95% and 97% recovery, in case of applied the cementation process to it, and also by electrolytic process, produced the In plate of 95~97%, and acquired 99-99.5% of In metal ingot finally by applied the heating process at 470~500℃.
Polyvinyl acetate (PVAc) prepared by emulsion polymerization has broad applications for additive such as paint binder, adhesive for wood and paper due to its low glass transition temperature which help to plasticize substrate resins. Since emulsion polymerization has a disadvantage that surfactant and ionic initiator degrade properties of the product polymer, poly (vinyl acetate-eo-ethyl acrylate) (VAc-EA) was synthesized using potassium persulfate as catalyst and polyvinylalcohol (PVA) as protective colloid to prevent the degradation. The copolymer latex product was internally plasticized and has enhanced adhesion, water resistance during VAc-EA emulsion polymerization. No coagulation and complete conversion occur with the reactant mixture of 10 mmol/L potassium persulfate, 10 mmol/L poly ( vinyl alcohol) (PVA 17). As the concentrations of PVA increase, the viscosity becomes increase.
