Purpose: This study aims to investigate the formation of post-traumatic growth by using Photovoice method to share the awareness of study subjects by using pictures. Methods: The study subject was an adult woman 'A' who has experienced trauma and recovered from it. In accordance with the procedure of photovoice research, orientation, photovoice and interview were conducted and photovoice data were analyzed. Results: The subject used aquatic exercise as the therapy of rehabilitation at the beginning of rehabilitation and got into swimming in the middle of overcoming the trauma. After that, the subject moved toward her new life as a swimmer and swimming instructor. In addition, post-traumatic growth including extension of interpersonal relationships and changes in perspective of herself and the world and the awareness of attitude to life were reported. Based on the results of this study, the possibilities of the extended study on sport-related post-traumatic growth and the application of photovoice in the field of sports psychology were discussed.

Purpose: This study has two purposes; (a) to advance the understanding of rhythmic gymnastics’ attractiveness factors perceived by female elementary school students and their mothers, and (b) to discuss similarities and differences between the attractiveness factors. In this study, a concept-mapping method was used for a research methodology. A concept-mapping method is useful in that it can deal with both quantitative and qualitative research issues and compensate limitations. A concept-mapping method enables researchers to directly explore the frames of participants’ experiences and/or ideas, rather than to explore those frames based on researchers’ hypotheses or direction of the study. Results: This study collected data (original N=10/10) from female rhythmic gymnastics students and their mothers. All students participated in the study were children at the age between 8 and 11, who have been learning rhythmic gymnastics more than 12 months in Seoul, South Korea. This study collected participants’ statements using an open-ended survey. Among total of N statements, 51 of the children’s statements and 49 of the mothers’ statements were confirmed through a clarification process. Multidimensional scaling and hierarchical cluster analysis were conducted to investigate the purposes of the study. A concept map of rhythmic gymnastics’ attractiveness was derived as a result. Test results showed that children and mother groups presented 5 and 3 clusters, respectively, on a two-dimensional axis diagram. Conclusion: This study revealed the attractiveness factors of rhythmic gymnastics perceived by female students and their mothers. The tested results have implications for both academia and instructional method. The results would be a basic reference source for developing measurement scale for testing rhythmic gymnastics students’ pleasure and interest levels. The results of this study also could be applied to designing effective teaching and learning strategies of rhythmic gymnastics, and developing various programs.
Purpose: The current study explored physical activity and its influencing factors in a random sample of community adults, and tested causal relationship among psychological, social, and physical environmental variables to explain physical activity. Methods: A total of 812 adults over 30 years old who reside in Gangbuk-gu, Nowon-gu, and Seongbuk-gu, Seoul were voluntarily participated in the study. Standardized scales were used to measure physical activity and its related social ecological variables. Results: The findings indicated that physical activity was significantly correlated with all of the social ecological variables. All of psychological, social environmental, and physical environmental variables had a significant direct path to explain physical activity. In addition, self-efficacy and perceived benefits significantly mediated the relationship between family support and physical activity, and while the relationship between availability of facilities and physical activity was substantially mediated by perceived barriers. Conclusion: This study provides useful information in developing and implementing intervention strategies that promote greater engagement in physical activity among middle aged adults.
Purpose: This study was to verify the difference between reaction time of information processing and decision making information related with physical activity according to exercise self-schema. So it would have the hypothesis that exercise self-schema affected to judgement, remember and expectation of the content related with physical activity. Methods: The participants of experiment were 36(male:15, female21,Mage=21.25). Task was presented at computer screen. Participants reaction time and contents were saved automatically. And it was measured the physical activity’s amount for 7 days through questionnaire. All anaysis were conducted by SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 18. Results: It was shown that the participants who had higher exercise self-schema had faster information processing about physical activity content than the participants who had lower exercise self-schema. Also group of higher exercise self-schema had more vocabulary comments. And at the expect behavior related physical activity, the group of higher exercise-self schema seek more physical activity than the group of lower exercise self-schema. Finally, higher exercise self-schema group had more physical activity. Conclusion: it had identified that exercise self-schema was significant factor at information processing related physical activity. So it is needed to study and develop the program which help developing exercise self-schema.
