Purpose: This study conducted a Monte Carlo simulation to deal with the issues of alternative methods to replace the composite scores, which were the integrated scores of indicators, with a measurement model for testing in order to solve the problems with model estimation in a research that applied SEM. Methods: The investigator directed the simulation to compare the estimated structural coefficients from the original model containing with those in the reduce model that was replaced with the composite scores or integrated scores of those indicators. The simulation was carried out in three cases according to the organizational methods of composite scores that considered the correlation coefficient and factor loading characteristics of indicators. Results: first, the invariance of the estimated structural coefficient wasn’t maintained when the factor coefficients of indicators were heterogeneous in case of a unidimensional structure among indicators. Secondly, a structural coefficient was underestimated regardless of heterogeneity among indicator factor coefficients in case of a multidimensional structure among indicators. The study also showed the effects of composite scores on the estimation of structural coefficients by comparing their estimation results according to the sample size of analysis data in each experiment.

Purpose: This study was to create and practically apply psychological skills training program(PSTP) for rhythmic gymnasts. Methods: Four rhythmic gymnasts aged ten to fifteen who are members of Korea Gymnastics Association and Office of Education in ‘G’ city were selected as research participants in 2014. They participated in PSTP for six months. Program effectiveness was examined through the questionnaire of CSAI-2, psychological skills, and self-management, list of competition result, and psychological counseling. The selected program was applied to each rhythmic gymnasts through supplementation sequence after practical skill training that reflected personal psychological skills level and characteristics. Results: Based on the data collected, nine specific psychological skills methods consisted of goal setting, breathing and relaxation, positive imagery, self-management, cognitive restructuring, self-confidence, performance routine, psychological counselling, and integrated performance routine were applied to the research participations. As they participated in PSTP, the following positive psychological effects were found to the research participant. First, participants’ competitive state anxiety was reduced. Second, participants’ psychological skills was improved. Third, participants’ self-management was enhanced. Fourth, participants’ performance was improved. Conclusion: PSTP was evaluated as an effective training program that helps rhythmic gymnasts’ psychological steadiness. Based on the result of the study, it is expected that more rhythmic gymnasts are trained using PSTP to improve their mental strongness, so that they perform their best athletic skills and talents in their competition.

Purpose: The study was to identify the differences between individuals' own health risk perceptions and those of others at the same age. Moreover, this study tried to explore the differences in perception bias toward health risks by gender and the physical activity level. Methods: Three hundred fifty questionnaires were initially distributed to company employees and sports center members. Among them, total 332 were finally used in this study(male: 166, female: 166, Mage=49.32 years). Self and other risk judgment profile was revised into Korean and applied in the study. Frequency analysis and independent t-test were carried out by SPSS 23.0. Results: Results indicated that middle-aged adults tend to have unrealistic perceptions of their vulnerability to most health risks and perceive their own likelihood of encountering all health risks events as lower than that of others. In addition, the finding revealed that there were significant differences in perception bias toward to health risks by gender and the physical activity level. Conclusion: The significance of this study lies in the fact that it made a unique contribution to the existing knowledge about middle-aged adults' health risk perceptions.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the association of motivation of choosing a teaching profession with teaching self-efficacy and subjective happiness in youth sports instructors. Methods: A total of 262 participants(males 56.9%, females 43.1%) completed questionnaires to assess motivation of choosing a teaching profession(active motivation, material motivation, passive motivation), teaching self-efficacy, and subjective happiness. The data analysis was conducted using descriptive analysis, correlation analysis, multivariate analysis of variance, and confirmatory factor analysis with SPSS 21.0 and AMOS 23.0. Results: Results revealed that there were significant differences in material motivation and teaching efficacy between physical education(PE) majors and non-PE majors. Male instructors reported higher material motivation and teaching self-efficacy than female instructors. Structural equation modeling analysis showed teaching self-efficacy mediated the relation between motivation of choosing a teaching profession and subjective happiness. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that youth sports instructors’ motivation of choosing a teaching profession should be considered for their quality of life and the quality of education for youth. Also, the strategy to enhance teaching self-efficacy should be involved in the training program for youth sports instructors.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the learning effects of self-controled feedback on Success and Failure Experience. Methods: The test subjects were 40 female college students who had no information about the purpose of this study. The test subjects constituted a success experience groups(10 self-controlled students and 10 yoked students) and a failure experience groups(10 self-controlled students and 10 yoked students). The task used in this research was 2m golf putting which is the applied clevett’s putting test. On the first day, subjects were given pilot test and group Classification test. There were no differences in putting skill between two groups(success experience and failure experience group) after analysing the data collected during the two tests. Dependant variable was E(total error score). The data analysis of acquisition phase and retention tests were carried out under 2(success and failure experience)×2(feedback group)×6(block) or 2(success and failure experience)×2(feedback group) factorial design with repeated measures on last factor. Results: The following results were reached by analysing the test data. (a) success experience groups were more effective than failure groups at acquisition phase and retention test. (b) according to transfer test' interaction of success/failure experience×feedback, self control feedback group were more effective than yoked group at success experience condition whereas, there was no significant between two groups at failure experience condition. Conclusion: conclusively, this study shows that, the success experience self-control feedback group performed the best on the golf putting skill task.
